Violet Woods Munnar

Beautiful experience. I rented 4 rooms in Munnar and this was the only room that had the best hospitality and quality. The Manager was really friendly and the service boy Gojin took really good care of us.
Also we got a free car wash. The overall experience was absolutely first class. Thank you Team Violet Woods for making our stay pleasantly memorable.

Cons: commuting is an issue considering it's a lil far.but chokarmudi is close to the location.if u r an adventure seeker or a lazy nature explorer

The rooms as well as the bathrooms were clean and easily accessible. The staff was very friendly. Chef Soham served us North Indian as well as South Indian dishes which were lip smackingly delicious. Loved the ambience as well as the quiet and serene location of the hotel.

We loved the stay at Violet woods, beautiful location and the staff were really nice. We had veg meal and breakfast which was also brilliant. I recommend this place if you are looking for a peaceful stay with beautiful views.

The property seems to be very old and rustic look with very less amenities.
The bed is not so comfortable, there is no kettle and tea/coffee powders available in the room.

The stay located in a very very steepy route, one needs expert level driving to reach the spot. And there is no shop near by for any kind of purchase.

You need to dependent completely on inhouse restaurant which has limited north indian menu. It completely lacks local cuisine. And the food taste is at very average side. We stayed for three days and we almost felt boredom for their menu and food.

Beaware of no mobile network and no wifi services. They have one wifi router only at reception desk which works only in reception.

Receptionist Arun is very kind and helpful in arranging things you need.

We had a wonderful stay at Violet Woods. This place is beautifully located in nature, rooms are nice and clean, with gorgeous panorama over the valley. Staff was just the best - they took great care of us, from the moment we arrived when they welcomed us with a tasty welcome drink and a cardamom necklace (so cute!) throughout the whole stay - cooking us yummy meals, and generally making sure that we have all we need and even more - they took us for a trek, prepared bonfire etc etc. Seriously i have never felt so well taken care of during my whole trip in India. What a brilliant stay. We are definitely coming back.

Silent place with beautiful scenery outside. Polite staff and good food. Rooms are large but Washrooms need to be more clean and properly functioning.

This hotel has been amazing view, silent location, food very testy, staff is good, akhilesh's nature is good it's very helpful & service is good.

It was great! Excellent service rendered. Good n comfortable meals were well prepared n the employees were excellent too. The Violet Woods, Munnar had a good view of the distant hilly scenic beauty of the place offcourse.

Excellent stay…. You might feel that it’s location is quite offbeat but it’s nothing like that! Lush greenery everywhere. Good food & all the necessary amenities are available. The caretaker Akhilesh Bhaiya is also very welcoming & good person. Had a great experience here.

We had a great stay in Violet Woods, The staff was very courteous and helpful, Ajith & Akhilesh needs a special mention. Accommodation worth for the price, Food Quality needs some improvement, Lush green and silent ambiance is worth staying, but to reach the resort you should be prepared for a roller coaster drive, Steep ups and downs and sudden hairpin turns makes you an expert driver by the time you return home.

I think all the reviews are fake. Not at all safe for couples. The property in located in a very isolated area with very awful access. Very much far from the city
The rooms where smelling stingy there is no proper maintenance
The hand faucet was not working properly when I said to them they told the maintenance team will come only tomorrow what a response what is the use of maintaining after we checkout. After that they chanced the room to a lower grade room. Paid to a bigger room and got lower grade room.
Its not at all worth for the amount we paid there was much better rooms available for much cheaper rates
Also amenities we not proper had to ask everything like soap etc
And wifi was not properly working also there was no proper signal for any networks
Not at all safe for couples there are many peep sights places where there the curtains where not proper anyone from outside could see through also its an isolated area with no proper security

While the hotel itself was amazing, I have no idea what was going on in the restaurant. We found a piece of silver packaging in our chicken biryani or at least what was supposed to be biryani. The orders kept getting mixed up for some reason and when I ordered fries one night they forgot the order and the second time they said it was out of stock. The staff were otherwise polite, friendly and courteous.

I had a wonderful stay at Violet Woods. The room I was given was extremely spacious and fairly clean. There's free WiFi available (although the connection was a little poor in my room, perhaps due to its distance from the reception). The staff and the manager were quite friendly and helpful throughout my entire stay there. The food was too good!

While the location is absolutely serene and gorgeous, it might be a bit tricky to reach since this place has limited network connectivity and is located on a hilly region with narrow inclined roads. But if you're looking to stay in the midst of greenery and away from the main city, this is your place.

Excellent experience with stay here. Ambience is amazing. If you want to relax and listen to chirping sounds of birds then this is the place. Its silent and calm around. Bit far from the city but the hospitality and place is worth it.

We visited Violet Woods Munnar in Dec 2021 and it was a great place to stay. The resort is located outside around 6 kms from the Munnar town surrounded by Tea and Cardamom plantations. Would recommend for anyone who want to stay in a calm and peaceful place and want to spend some good rest time with friends and Family. The resort Manager Rajkumar was available to support even during late hours when we booked and support staff Anish and kitchen staff are courteous and attend to any requirement without hesitation. The Food especially was delicious and you would get whatever you need both on Veg and Non veg and recommend to order early before lunch or dinner for the resort staff to get things from Munnar.

Also be mindful that the resort is located in between some steep and quick bends in the mountain area. There is a mountain climbing available and assisted by the staff but recommend to go for trekking through the road and to the mountain.

We enjoyed the stay for 2 days including the campfire, spacious and clean hotel rooms, food, staff and beautiful location.

Nearby there copper castle resort. We had buffet breakfast there. It was almost like a brunch. You can have Breakfast from there too.

Waaooo. Violet Woods has an excellent ambience the rooms were big it was like a villa. The location is exceptional, it was beyond our expectation. It was amazing driving experience on the way to Violet woods. All the rooms were different from one another and all of them had a front view i.e, valley view. Dining was also good we had a dinner 2 days the taste was good. It a good location if you are going in group their is a special place available for camp fire where you can chill with all your family/friends.
Morning view was awesome. There is ample amount of space available for parking
Only thing what was missing is tea/coffee maker in room
Manager Abison was very much cooperative he will guide you which places you can visit nearby, you can request him in advance if you want to have fish or any other special food.
Overall the hotel was awesome, location is exceptional I will definitely recommend to stay in violet woods if you are Munnar.

After seeing many properties last booked this resort, i understand it was a right decision after reached this property, there are two ways to this property one is through munnar bypass another through munnar dam bridge way better you select munnar through way because the other route is difficult, the room was big in size and kept neat and clean. The person named Mr. Aneesh really helpful and pleasing man helped a lot, ready to help all time without any difficult. We ordered our dinner also here that was really wonderful, lot of menu items available here Veg& Non Veg, they made it very deliciously. The rate was also reasonable. Its sure we book the same resort on our next visit. Special thanks for the Manager also for calling me and coordinating our stay.

My stay at Violet Woods was for 2 days and before that I had already stayed in other 3/4 star hotels and resorts during my 8 days travel across 5 State. For me, Violet woods could be rated as the "worst" hotel to stay - hospitality, amenities, food, staff, luxury or be it basic amenities like room door or cleaned toilets

Pro- The place is nice, location is good. Surrounded by greenery, cardamom plantation. A small trek from the property to hill top for sunrise is there. Food prepared by chef Navdeep is good. Service staff Anish and Nakshu are very good.

Cons - the manager don’t care about guests, wifi is bad. Rooms smell a lot. If you are planning to go there and do a workcation, you cannot do that. The manager dont even care if guests have any complaints.

Food was excellent, very tasty and unlimited if you have taken for meal plan.

Nice property and good for relaxation. The rooms are spacious enough. The property is maintained well. If you are looking for relaxation place in munnar, then this is the best option.

Bad ambience and no view at all. All rooms were stinky and dingy. Had strong smell of pot and filled with potheads. All the staff were stoned all the time.
