It was a place that sold fresh seafood.
There is an auction house and a place for retail sales.

Public is not allowed inside, so on what basis the rating is given? Its only for fish resellers or wholeslers. We went after watching a youtube video of a guy purchasing from the harbour. But in reality normal public is not allowed at all.

Lovely spot to visit, a very noticeable strong and pleasant breeze is present the majority of the time in the day and it is a good place to go sight seeing as you get to see the view of the water body and large groups of birds circling and forming patterns in the sky.

It's better to buy from your regular fishmonger than spending money, time and effort to visit there and make a purchase. Ironically lulu mall sells fish much cheaper than the stalls there.

The biggest fish market near to ernakulam town. It's about 6.5km from Ernakulam town. Comparatively the price is less. Will get hot sea fish and freshwater fish

It needs to be arranged properly, the whole place is smelly and when you're getting down the goshree bridge it gives a negative image to vypin island. We get good fresh fish from there but the market needs to be arranged well.

Fresh fish available at reasonable price. They clean the same on demand- few shops charge extra fkr cleaning, which is worth.

We cant buy fish from harbour but can buy from the stalls nearby, those fishes mostly come from outside not from the harbour near.

Fishes at cheaper price compared to fish outlets. Need to auction and buy Normal small sellers are also available. Please make sure that you are not cheated.

Everybody is thinking we can buy the fresh fish in lowest price as it's name. But it's not. If you want buy fresh fish should go to fort Vypin cheenavala but price little bit high. If you want buy the fish in lowest price go to Puthuvypu fish market or Malipuram Market.

good and rotten fish available you need to be careful while selecting. Go for local sellers at the end they are selling good ones. Never get attracted in low price, first just go through every shop and ask price then choose wisely. Happy buying

This place you will get fresh fish when the fishing boats reach. You can also participate in auction. You will get good fishes in the stalls in front of the fishing harbour.

Don't buy blind folded. They sell both fresh fish and fish from distant places.when compared to other fish stalls it's better. You get all types of sea food from 6am to 9pm

Place to sell and buy fish, variety of fish available from farms, paddy fields, vembanadu lake and Arabian sea.fishermen get good price for there catch and buyers get fresh fish at lowest price, many stalls also selling fish out side the harbour.if you want fish at cheap rate go inside anybody can participate in action.

ജീവനുള്ള മീൻ കിട്ടുന്ന സ്ഥലം. മാർക്കറ്റ് ആയതിനാൽ ലേലം വിളിക്കാൻ തയ്യാറായി വരണം. ചെറിയ പങ്ക് നോക്കി വിളിച്ചാൽ കിട്ടും. കഴിവതും കിലോ വില കണക്കാക്കി വേണം വിളിക്കാൻ. വശിക്കു ലേലം വിളിക്കരുത് നമ്മുക്ക് ന്യായം എന്നു തോന്നുന്ന വില വരെ വിളിക്കുക. അത്‌ കടന്നാൽ നിർത്തുക. ലേലം വിളിക്കുന്നവർക്ക് ആളെ നോക്കിയാണ് വിളിക്കുന്നത്. അതു പ്രത്യേകം ശ്രദ്ധിക്കണം.

A lot of fish is being unloaded here. When it is fish season it is very scenic here. You need to go very early in the morning to get good fish. But the place is the best place to get Fresh fish. You surely need to know how to buy fresh fish. There are a lot of people who would just cone and sell you bad fish.

Fresh catch. All kinds of sea and fresh water fish available. Boats keeps on coming after fishing after 10am and fish are sold through bidding. Anybody can bid.
It's just before goshree junction on the left side. Those who are interested in chemical free fish can come here and buy fish through bidding.
There are shops which provides cleaning and cutting service near the harbor.
Better to visit this place before 1pm as most of the boats comes back by this time.
Fish sold outside for 1000rs can be bidded directly here for 500rs.
There are few good vendors whom you can trust. We buy fish from one such vendor.
Fresh water fishes is available in small quality for bidding, while most of the sea fishes are available in bigger quantity for bidding.

Good place to buy fish in large quantities. Often fish is auctioned here. Mostly sea fish is available here.

I have done quite a research on fishes available in Ernakulam. The taste of fish is highly dependent on the place of catch, season and freshness. In Ernakulam the tastiest ones are caught from the gorge (Azhimukham). This place is one among the few from where you can get those types of fishes. The availability highly dependent on your luck too. Also if you can't distinguish between fresh fish there are all chances that you will end up with bad quality fishes (But this can happen for you in any fish market in Kerala).
