Waves Hair & Beauty Saloon

I recently visited Waves Calicut for facial and haircut. I'm extremely disappointed with the experience. I was first told that their skin care specialist would choose the best facial for me after analyzing the skin type and conditions by the staff in reception area. But no such analysis was done and I was asked to straight away choose the facial I want. Despite opting for one of the high end facial treatment they have, I saw no changes in my face. Not even an after glow. Such a waste of money and time.
My sister got an haircut and she is highly disappointed as well. Final output was in no way matching with what she asked for in spite of showing them a pic. Worst part was that the hairdresser was cutting the hair in a very hurried manner as the staff in reception was sending in more and more customers above the capacity of staff.
Only good thing about this place is their parking area.
Never visiting again.

I had the worst haircut ever. I specifically asked for a straight cut, but the stylist ended up giving me a u-shaped cut and insisted that it was what I had asked for. On top of that, the staff's behavior was incredibly rude. The stylist even argued with me, claiming that she had done it correctly. It was a truly frustrating experience.

My salon experience was a letdown. The staff seemed undertrained, resulting in subpar service. I'd recommend giving this place a miss to avoid disappointment.

Not that much satisfied, the barbers are little bit bargaining to do other services. Cutted with hands, really not feeling good.

Cost- 354₹ for hair cutting.

Overpriced compared to their services.most of the hairdressers are hindi people…not even malayalees

My wife had a very bad experience from waves. She had done her eyebrow threading which the stylist had ruined it. She waited long for the service and the stylist had done opposite to what she had asked. Really dissapointed with the poor professionalism. I saw the stylist leaving the parlour before my wife reached the reception. Even I was planning to have a haircut from the waves next week. But now I wont be considering the waves. The staffs need to more professional.

Nice place but a bit expensive, i prefer going to a normal barber shop and do everything for 100rs.

Loved my experience here. I got my haircut and Keratin treatment done by Achu chechi. I recommend Achu chechi if you are going for any hair services. Chechi is just amazing and professional. Chechi gives honest opinions and she is really good at what she does. And the salon is maintained well and good safety precautions were taken at the salon. They are amazing. I would definitely recommend Waves.

Very Disappointed! I Visited waves after 9 months. Staff has lost the initial days politness. Keeping you waiting for a long time without proper communication and later after enquiring on the waiting period still keeps you waiting for another half hour. I couldn't avail the service due to this mis management of time.

I would say neat and clean place with below average service, I went for a haircut and beard trim, the stylist who came to me is being struggling to use the scissors and knife, to avoid risk I told him just crop my hair, thought of informing same to reception at time of billing, but decided to walk away because there was some other internal altercation observed.

The hair colour they applied for my root touch up did not even cover my grey hair and on top of it they charged me the full amount.got rashes on my hand after the Rica wax which is itchy even after a week.

Myself visited the salon for 4 times for threading eyebrows, but they always hesitated to do and was not interested to do the threading alone, too much unprofessional approach from such a saloon where I was regular customer for past 6 plus years. Never ever will go back to Waves. Such a poor customer service

Not good for beauty services for females.
There is too much attitude amongst the people there. You end up angry at the end of the day and not relaxed due to the substandard service.

Worst saloon I have ever seen in my life.stupid hospitality. Just happened to went there with my wife for threading and I thought would have shave for me too. When I asked them the lady receptionist and the boy was looking at each other's face and then told me to sit there. So I asked them how much time it will take, again they asked me to wait and sit there. If they are busy they can say that to me or if they don't want to take small works can tell they do take work under prior appointments only or can atleast tell the wait time itself. Anyway such a bad experience and worst hospitality.

Ultra modern swanky building with fantastic ambience, good staff at the reception who make you feel welcome.
The stylist also was well mannered but seemed to be a bit lost when it comes to cutting hair.
Had to give him step by step instruction to come out with a decent hair cut.

Would not recommend going here.

Good place. One of the premium saloon in Kozhikode for both men and women. Good ambiance and the service is great. They do suggest you on what style would suit your face. Felt like the charges are not over rated but still it gets covered by the service they provide us.
Only drawback which I felt is it is not in the heart of the city so that people from places like Beypore, Meechantha, feroke will find difficult to reach out.

It’s my last and made a appointment with a senior staff and he is on leave and one came and spoke to me about hair colour and after he sent a Juniour staff without a trainer he made my hair like wig.

Big hype train, huge infrastructure, but 18-20 year old inexperienced inexpensive staff, with poor skills

Hair spa here is too expensive. When I called up and asked the previous day it was told that hair spa range starts from 900 and they took 1600 from me inspite of having thin hair. And I'm not satisfied with hair spa they provided.

Its some normal salon polished with good standard looking space and furniture. Staffs are just way too bad. I think they recruit cheap unprofessional and unqualified people from normal salons to make some extra profit. My experience was disastrous.

Worst place to get a haircut in Kozhikode. In friendly staff and stylist with zero ability. I had to tell the guy how to do their job. Do yourself a favour and do both go there

Was a grate place to go before, I went there after a year or so and my experience was not so good. Escpecially the attitude of staff is horrible. Customer management and hospitality is an important factor. Sooner you understand the better.

Great service. Good behaviour. Quality job. Waves is not just a beauty or hair saloon. It's your hair stylist. It was my first experience in such an approach to my hair from a hairdresser. I confess that I don't have much experience from professional saloons to comment too much about the quality and service. Yet, I liked the way they treated me. I hope it is the same for all the others. It gave me a level of confidence. Thank you waves for that. There was an artistic approach to the cutting rather than just cutting the Wight off my head. The staff gave me suggestions at every stage of the process. It's located in eranjhippalam, Kozhikode. The area is usually traffic free rather than peak times in the morning and evening. So it's an all time go spot. Very satisfactory.

Worst experience ever!
I'm a regular customer at waves for hair cuttingand hair spa.i was happy with their professional way of handling and their service was excellent earlier.last 2 time i was unsatisfied with the hair cut.
Now i'm writing to share my worse experience ever.today (11/4/2019) i went there for threading, and from the begining i was giving instruction not to make it too thin, just remove the outgrown hairs and shape it.at the end i was shoked my eyebrows were made toooo thin, like never before and the shape was totatly damaged.it was better to shave my eyebrows completly rater than worsening it to such an extend.: (eyebrows seems to be a silly thing, but it can totaly change the look of your face if not trimmed properly.i feel like crying.totaly dissapointed.i think its high time for me to stop going to waves.and would never recommend any of my friends too.
I think the staff who did threading was newly joined.let me remind you, new staffs should be properly trained before attending the customers, else you are going to loose the name and fame which you people have earned so far.goodbye

Very bad experience, not all the staffs are professional, they are not capable of doing what the customer demands, Really disappointed by the service. Will never opt waves again and will definitely make a statement to all my friends.

This used to be a good salon. But now the service is bad (Not up to the mark of their expensive price). Employees are not friendly. I saw they are developing some new building also. May be they couldn't maintain their quality of service when business grew.

I never used to post something like this. But today it was worth mentioning. I went there few times before and the treatment was OK.
Today, I went for my toddlers haircut. I was afraid about managing him during Haircut. But the hairstylist 'Tamil was such a good man that he managed to cut his hair without any struggle.

I went for a hairspa.the hair massage time is less and the cost is high compared to other salons. U need to carry cash, because if u want pay by card then they will charge u extra gst. Not worth.

Not a good vibe place. Every staff looks at you when your hair is being washed (awkward it is). Hair cut comes around 200 for men. And staffs are not really experienced as for the reputation of the brand.

Comparatively better and reasonable (I found it cheap) pricing. All workers are professional and everyone is concerned about the customer.

Hospitable staff and are willing to try whatever hairstyle you show them that they think they can do. They provide good advice on treatments too and decent rates.

A month ago

I have been a long time customer here. I have enjoyed their customer service even before waves salon took shape. One of the best things about waves salon is the customised solutions they provide. I have noticed them handling other customers and the smile that each customer has on their face is testament to the care and commitment that waves salon showcases in their work. Speaking about their work, I believe they are artists in their own right. I do not recall anything short of beautiful coming out waves salon.good service

Alert Just for Ladies. I have done haircut and dandruff treatment from here. First thing we done after getting haircut from here is going to another salon for getting another one. It was pathetic. For Dandruff treatment costs 1100 only thing they have done was just applying some random shampoo and massaged for 10mins (cant even call it as massage, they were literally pulling out hair). Plus there were no difference of dandruff. If you ever visited a good salon before you can really feel the difference. I will never recommend anyone to this place ever. One of the worst experience I ever had.
