Nice place to know history of tea making in Waynad and different varieties of tea that comes from several parts of india. They have non functional tea machinery kept here, you can ask and visit live tea making factory nearby. Good place to visit if you have some time at hand in waynad.

If you are a tea connoisseur and if you love Tea, the Wayanad Tea Museum is a must visit place for you. Wayanad Tea Museum by Harrisons Malayalam Limited (HML) is a 100 year old Tea factory converted into a Tea Museum for the tourist to experience. The Museum exhibits the history of Tea, etc.
Good place to visit to know the history of tea estates and also oldest machine are kept to watch, there is cafe on 2nd floor with varieties of tea but found bit expensive, overall good meusem
Visited during a holiday. Tea factory ry was closed for maintenance. Only the museum was open. Could see some things, but wasn't worth it. Visited the cafe, which had a long list of teas. Was told they ran out of milk at 5pm. Big let down!
Must visit to this museum on the way to banasura. Lots of history around tea, plantations, equipments etc. You have a cafe on the top floor where you can have tea and snacks and buy some special tea as well. You can easily spend 1-2 hrs here.
Its an old tea factory built in British Era. Very well detailed posters about tea cultivation and Wayanad are the major attractionof the museum. They have exhibited a few models used in tea factory too. Tea testing and tea shop also part of it. Entry fee 50 ₹ / person.
It’s an old building converted to a Tea Museum. There is no guide to show u around. It’s all do it yourself tour. They also don’t have any ticketing system but they do charge ₹50 per person.
On the ground floor you will find all the information on how tea first came to India, along with some old machines that were used in Tea plantation. On 2nd floor, there are stuff from 70-80s like radio’s, floppy disk, VCRs, clocks etc.
On the 3rd floor they have tea tasting area. Where they are supposed to serve you tea, but there was no one as all the staff (3 people) were having lunch together.
They sure will charge you money but will disappear when you will need them. All and all it’s a complete waste of time. They don’t even have their own tea gardens. However, you can just walk into nearby tea gardens to take pictures for your travel diary. Like we did.
Would not recommend this place at all… it’s would be better to go for a proper tea tour which are nearby this place.
Wonderful place, different from all the other views nearby which are either falls or lakes or view points or ziplines.
If you are a Tea person you should go here and understand more about Tea. Even the tea served here was awesome, we took Ginger tea and Masala tea both were excellent and ended up buying Masala tea for home.
Best place to see old equipments, computers, machineries, tools, tea production line elements, history, old british time stoves etc, there's a small cafe offers different types of tea and selling tea related collectibles and powders. Entire building is of a antique historical structure with french windows and good ambience. Well maintained and it's worth a shot to experience and see things once.

The tea museum has 3 floors Ground and first - a look into the history.there's banners, antique materials used for tea and so on.quite picturesque The third floor has good a wooden floored cafe with beautiful French windows.there's facility to sit on floors too.an experience.but unfortunately while we visited tea wasn't available There's option to buy cookies and tea powders

There are many Historical things and History about Tea. It is a good place for students too ️. I spend lot of time here with my family.
We had a great time. The staff is polite and helpful. They have 2 floors full of the history of tea estate and machinary. They have stopped the tea tasting sessions post covid. But you can try the tea in the cafe and buy from there. Different flavours of tea and coffee are available. The entry fee is 50 per person
Tea factory near the museum is closed but inside the museum they have white range of Tea varieties we can taste them and they also sell different kinds of Tea powders
Go for it if you are history buff. Apart from showcasing history of tea and coffee in India, the museum itself is made in a 100 yr old tea factory and is surrounded by heritage bungalows earlier inhabited by the managers of the factory
It was a nice experience kids can know abt the history of tribal and about tea interesting instruments like past computer typewriter etc And we had nice tea masala tea is too good i loved it and we can purchase some items
Situated next to Achoor Tea Plantation, this is a 3 storied building houses the early history of tea & its processing details. Ground floor displays the history of introduction of tea in India & Wayanad. First floor has all the tools? Related to its processing. Second floor houses a cafe and tea tasting counter. Got some tea from here at a very good price. Also their chocolate tea was very delicious.
It's a well maintained museum. Once upon a time 110 years ago it was a tea factory. There is an entry fee of Rs. 50. Some of the Harisson Malayalam products are available for sale. There is also a tea bar where you have variety of tea available.
Wayanad tea museum is an old tea factory converted into a museum. This was an ok experience with lots of informative bits w.r. T wayanad and tea in general. The entry fee is 20 rs and you can buy different sorts of tea from there. However when we visited we could not do the tea tasting as they did not allow it but at the same time they permitted tea tasting for some V. I. P person. Tea is reasonably priced and we enjoyed the Chocolate tea which we bought. The spices are costly there and you can buy for much cheaper outside.
Must visit place in Wayanad. They have all the antique items displayed in the museum. And few old photo collections too. They also have a variety of tea, coffee, and their powders, essential oils. Good to have a memory by sitting in the museum having a cup of tea or coffee with your loved ones.
Wayanad Tea museum is located right next to the Achoor tea estate factory. It is a 3 floored building with old factory related artifacts and other information available in ground and first floor and the second floor has a Tea tasting area and cafe. Cafe is tastefully decorated and there is a good view of the tea estate from the second floor. Entry fees is rs 20 per person.
I recommend you to visit this place if you are near Vythiri or going to Banasura Sagar Dam via Padinjarathara road. Located inside a tea plantation, the museum is well organized. They meticulously documented restored the century old processes and most of the old equipment to process tea leaves. A wooden structure, constructed in three floors, it has a cafeteria and sale point on the top floor. Staff are really great and helpful.
This is one of the must visit place in Wayanad. The Tea Museum have three different floors depicting the history of introduction of tea into india, factory machines and their parts, official letters, antique devices, etc. The third floor offers varieties of tea and packets of tea leaves, honey and ayuvedic oils that can be purchased.
Just visit this place and experience our history of tea plantation and how things working. You can see all machineries used almost a hundred years. Moreover on the top floor my favourite place. Felt like really really awesome Ambience of five star restaurant. Pretty good it's. Nice place to have a tea (many varieties of tea). Per head 50/-.
Home made tea! The best cardamom tea i have seen… it’s in the 3rd floor of tea museum.highly recommended everyone to have this cardamom.simply woow! And should try 1 million perfume too…
Museum is awesome.if you feel it is boring you guys are doing a big blunder. People drink tea but they don't know how they make it. There are lots of tea verity, And I really like that masala tea.the knowledge level of staffs in this museum is extraordinary Mr. Vishnu and Mr. Lithin doing great job. They are so cute. If you coming wyanad please don't miss this place.
It's very good with lot of key facts about the origin and varieties of tea. Definitely Worth a visit. You could also buy some good stuff like different flavors of tea and honey.
The place takes you back to ages beyond. The tea tasting experience on the second floor with Vishnu Vinayak is very good. His knowledge on tea and it's history and method is excellent.

Main attractions are tea tasting, antique tea factory equipments, whole building is made of wood, wooden seating arrangement, very nice lighting, and the view from the top. Really worth visiting, staffs are cooperative.very nice atmosphere and ambience. This place is perfect for small picnics, school tours etc. Entry fee Rs 50/person. Definitely worth visiting.
Amazing place to visit if you are a tea lover. Three floors of history of tea and a must tea tasting experience. Nicely done up decor for the cafe. You can try different varieties of tea and even buy them in the cafe. Try Masala, Ice tea and Cardamom tea for sure.
This is a must visit place, especially during evening hours. This place gives you a good knowledge about tea culture and they do have tea tasting. The ambiance is very unique and has a positive vibe. The staff are very courteous. Overall we spent our best evening sipping tea and glancing and admiring the beauty of the tea estate.
You'll love the place if you are tea lover! They have some historical equipment used for tea along with some fact and agreement happened between British people and wadiyar. Also you can taste the various type of tea over there. The ambience is very good and that means chance to click very nice pictures if you are photogenic. The entry fee is 50 rs for two person.

I loved this museum though It hardly had any visitors. I came to know about the rich history of tea plantation along with some good display equipments. Museum was neat and clean and well maintained. They also have tea tasting and tea selling counter on second floor. Quality of the tea was good though the coffee was not that great.
They are just on track.the museum started in 2018 but it look like very old buildingthats how they designed it! We can enjoy their variety teas.a very nice place to visit and a really appriciate the staffs for their hospitality.
If you are looking for a tea plantation experience do come here in the winters ie from October. There you can experience tea plucking experience, tea tasting to tea factory. Even in the off season you see the museum and visit the tea garden. On the top floor of museum there is a peaceful cafe where you can order different type of teas. The ambience matches a very nice cafe in delhi less the good music and some books to read. In front of it there are meadows of tea plants spread at length. Do try the Masala tea there at cafeteria

It was an interesting tour though the tickets were priced too high. The 3 floors are nicely decorated and the implements are good. The stairs are a bit rickety which may be a problem for elderly people.
Great experience! Very well maintained tea museum. If you are exploring wayanad then don’t miss it. They got lot of collections especially about British engineering. They also got an amazing classic tea restaurant in top floor.

A small building with a museum and a cafe spread over three floors. It was a former tea factory, a part of which was gutted down in the 1990s in a fire. The museum artifacts are not that impressive, but they do have a tea tasting session and the cafe has different teas that you can try like chocolate tea, masala tea, ginger tea, white tea. The cafe also stocks their tea produce and few other things like honey and essential oils.

No words for the views of tea plantations. It's amazing and we'll maintained. Tea musuem was the main attraction. I got excellent knowledge of tea.different varieties of tea was shown.how they are manufactured process was demonstrated.it was very informative. The settings is picturesque.it was really a good thought and sweet memory for me
