YMCA International Guest House, Cochin

Room is some what old. Old structured. That is the main draw back but overall I thinks it's a ok spot as it's in town area near to main spots

Attended Vanitha commission adalath on March 16,2022 for hearing my petition. I was the victim of domestic violence at matrimonial home. The member of the Vanitha commission behaved very rude to me and my mother. She shouted at me and tried to silence me and did not allow me to speak. She closed my petition immediately and supported the opposite party strongly. Some other petitioners who attended adalath also reported bitter experience from commission members.

I would have given negative stars, if it was available. The worst place to stay in Cochin. If you want to give punishment to someone, please refer this lodge. It is nothing but a sub standard lodge ruining the great reputation of YMCA. The term "International " is only in name.

We had a meeting here in the conference hall. It is a nice traditional hall and have enough space. A stage also available. Centralized AC, fan, mic, speaker system all are available. Inside a restaurant also available. We had Kerala meals from there. Chairs provided in the conference hall old fibre model. I thik around 200 persons can sit here. Located in the first floor near to Chittoor road, Ernakulam.

Bad experiences with the reception staffs. Poor Bathroom facilities, no phone service, not recommending.

Average rooms, old fashion rooms, mosquito will trouble you in evening and night, even in AC rooms. Complimentary breakfast was puttu and Kadala curry only. And was good.

Exciting and relavent service. Spacious and tidy halls and conference rooms. Affordable package and dining restaurant.

It's a great place, there confarance hall is so good and we'll maintained, a good place to hangout.

It is good place to stay safe. Staff is quite cooperative. Attention to be paid for rooms cleaning. T. V's to be made operational. Food quality to improve.

Okayish hotel. Not well maintained. If you can settle for quality in order to stay cheply then not a bad option. But dont think its suitable for family.

The meeting hall where I attended a classroom was neat and well maintained. Good parking space is an added advantage

YMCA international guest house is situated near to Shenoys junction on the side of Chittoor Road. It is having a Restaurant and rooms are available for rent. Ernakulam YMCA is popular for its charitable activities. The rent charged by the Organisation is reasonable.

Good food at an reasonable price. Seats are arranged as per the Covid protocol.
Enough place to park vehicle

The restaurant is very nice. Good veg meals as buffet cost just Rs. 60/- and non-veg items in very good rates. Nice place, nice taste. Only problem is that every time you have to enter your name, phone number, temperature before entering. (Perhaps, only security who does his job right nowadays!)

Shown a remarked customer service while in the stay there, proper cleanliness was maintained, hoping for the next time.

Parking is a bit crowded. Very few cars can be parked. AC Hall on the first floor is big and good for seminars, talks, presentations and small family functions.

Very old and one of the popular place in cochin. Nice to see they are still maintaining the quality. Only thing is that the Toilet facility is poor.

The Ernakulam YMCA is a charitable society registered under the Travancore Cochin Literacy Scientific and Charitable Societies Registration Act 1955. We are rendering charitable, educational, social, humanitarian and youth development activities for the welfare of the society.

We have three branch YMCAs at Palarivattom and South Area - Indira Nagar in Kadavanthara and Edappally.

The Charitable Projects - YMCA Boys Home, Home for the destitute children (Orphanage) at Thrikkakara, Special School & Home for the Mentally Challenged Children, YMCA Women’s Hostel for students and working women are very need oriented and popular in Cochin City.

The Ernakulam YMCA has three hostels for students and working men and women. We also have an International  House at the Main YMCA, International Youth Centre at Palarivattom and International Guest House at Edappally.

The Ernakulam YMCA is conducting indoor and outdoor sports and games activities for the people through our Branch YMCAs at South Area and Palarivattom.

The YMCA also organizes multifarious programmes for the under- privileged and destitute children. We also have regular on-going programmes and a Special School for the Mentally Challenged Children.

This place was literally remember my holiday there is no proper air conditioning facilities there the food is not that much good there in clean the places to old compared to other hotels where if you put another hundred rupees equals to in UP good class hotel please don't stay in this YMCA it will ruin your holiday also

Pros:
1. Location - Within 1 km radius, there is KSRTC station, Ernakulam south railway station and a metro station
2. Nice atmosphere
3. There are lots of room there. We will get room there at any time.

Cons:
1. The amenities are average
2. WiFi was not available to my room, so that I have to come to the launch to access it.

While the accommodation is vague for money, and the place is centrally located for easy accessibility, the restaurant is not up to the mark.

Front desk staff & housekeeping staff excellent. Walkable market, restaurants, coffee shop, M G Road for shopping / Dinning, Marina Drive (You can use Auto @Rs. 30 or 40 to get to beach.) This YMCA is a bit far from airport. Taxi may charge Rs. 500 to 600 depending on time you arrive at airport. Executive Rooms are very neat & clean. No idea of other rooms. There is Restaurant inside YMCA (not run by YMCA) provide complementary breakfast but lunch & dinner we need to pay. Complementary Breakfast is ok. Veg lunch with variety of dishes cost Rs. 80. People around are very good speak Malayalam, Hindi, English. Ernakulam Railway station & MG Road Metro station just walkable distance. Overall, it is very nice place to stay in Ernakulam, Kochi.

A good place for buget travellers. Located near to KSRTC and South railway station in chittoor road.

Average for food and stay. Mini auditorium also available there. Very near to south railway station, M G Road Shenoy's stop.

Compact rooms. Daily newspaper and room service available. Buffet breakfast is there but of very minimal variety. Clock room facility available.

Overpriced non AC double rooms, poor service and mediocre level facilities. The only highlight of this place is it's easy access from the Ernakulam South Railway station and also access to the city. The water in the washrooms of rooms is hard and making it difficult to cope.

Budget Accommodation for solo travelers. A neat and clean room with AC, a study and table and a TV. Basic facilities but nicely maintained right in heart of city.

Normally, a good place for a short stay. Ambience for stay is not upto that mark. Room service was fine and inhouse restaurant had a good quality food.

This hotel is situated in a very good location. Ideally located very near to Government Bus Stand and Railway Station.

Good specious room and bathroom most of all very neat and clean.

We spend 2 nights without any trouble in a non ac accommodation. Restaurant available and food was yummy.

Very much recommend for budget traveler. This place is value for money with peaceful staying.

Cheap and Best if you are preferring Economic Standard. Restaurant, function halls, Rooms are also available. Easy to access from south railway station. Nearest metro station is MG Road.
