Honestly the worst experience I've received on a domestic flight from Gujarat air port to Mumbai. The duty manager was just rude and the checking (men) was useless and with no customer orientation. Worst ever really!

The worst company ever! Never again! And I never recommend it!
We arrived at the airport in time. But the flight was delayed several times. The staff did not tell us the exact time of departure. They said that it would be announced. We waited for information and checked the information board. But at some point it appeared that the gate was closed… The company didn’t help us. And they don't think it's their mistake. Although this is obviously the mistake of Air India company.

Staff have no clue of what are Locations around them, the information booth staff just direct you to ask the CISF personnel as if the CISF security are paid as information desk. These information booth staff are so busy in their phone on calls text or watching videos even @ 5am in the morning. Only names sake maintained bt Adani airport- staff skill / kindness/ job intrest/ helpfullness is ZERO- Custom clearance line wait was for more than 2 hours as people just kept cutting in from all sides and was not organised and none of the officials care.

Jul 13,2023 (PST) Travelled from SFO to MAA via Mumbai. In Mumbai after immigration came to know my chennai flight 5: 15am cancelled and rescheduled to evening 3: 15pm. Im not informed while checkin or boarding in SFO seems informed over email and also not informed that I’ve to transfer my baggage at Mumbai even i asked at SFO airport while checkin. In Mumbai one guy saying have to do.another guy saying not to do. One guy telling my baggage will come to my home due to baggage restrictions in my flight from SFO. No one got my question and many cant speak english and we cant speak Hindi. Its my 1st trip in Air India. I heard all worst comments only about flight and food but its not that much poor. Its above average and ok. Service also not poor.

To me Air India is way beyond comparison as have been among the few folks who have flown other carriers occasionally though was employed with a few international carriers during my active service.

Be it the food or the ground services it has always been special. Maybe being an airline person was given special privileges by team Air India which I won’t deny.

But given a choice it’s always Air India to the east or west

When I missed my flight with Air India (which anyway doesn't happen volountarily.), I got a good amount of penalty in addition - even if I bought a new ticket with AI. So they earned double amount for 2 tickets plus the penalty. That's called a "greedy business".

Very bad website and the call center numbers are not reachable.information is half cooked.our airline has just lost one good international traveller to another airline.thanks for the red tapism even after tatas have taken over.

After tata take ownership of air india it's rising and coming to it's standard which it's use to have before, its have free meal available which included in ticket fair, tata reduce air india ticket price in affordable price otherwise it use to be most expensive airlines. Hope tata do its best and make Air India number one airlines in India

These guys are worst. No wonder its the least preferred airlines. I reached airport with 1: 30 hours still to go and I immediately went to checkin counter. Few of the lcd displays were showing international and few nothing. Waited in the queue for 20 min just to be informed that the domestic counters are on the opposite side. Even with an hour to go, they denied my checkin baggage (on pretext of too little time) in which I was carrying expensive liquor which eventually I had to leave at the airport cause it would not be admitted inside the cabin luggage while as a double standard, just 5 min prior to take off at 7pm, a family comes on-board. Time wasting from their end resulted in loss at my end. Never flying again in Air India

They take hours to resolve your queries and still you may need to come back. Each person in the queue took about 30-40mins each

Delayed flight twice on round trip by more than an hour. In the name of free meal, one time they provided a dry sandwich and one time a Biscuit. Literally 1 piece of biscuit.

Just a horrible experience. Ms Revati lacks manners doesn't understand that her job is to help and not piss off a customer. I couldnt upload my documents on your website and i was directed to the counter at the airport. She kept redirecting me to akbar travels and then started raising her voice and shouting because apparently she was asked to repeat herself. When asked to be polite her response is don't teach me.
Can't even type the rest of what she said which included her making a call to a friend saying she will pass my name to them (sounded like a threat)
While my issue was being sorted by this nice gentleman she sneaks in to take my passport details from the counter. Total violation and misuse of my personal information. This footage is on your Cctv to validate.
Very disappointed and I just hope this reaches out to the right people and some action is taken. Your customers don't deserve this kind of treatment.

Sabse khatara plane and not at all punctual. Only benifit u get they provide food on flight which no other airline provides. But u need to see the other side of coin. Other airlines fare are 400-500less which means they don't charge u for not providing food. In case of Air India. Food is provided irrespective if I need or not.

Frankly one hour flight need food. They are increasing overheads and saying unable to manage

Here is why you should prefer Air India over other low cost airlines when it comes to domestic flights?
Unlike the other low cost airlines the aircrafts are bigger which means more leg room and spacious seats
Booking seats and Inflight entertainment is free which even a lot of other international airlines have now started charging - limited options in terms of the movies and series but good enough for your flight duration.
You can book seats at the time of booking the flight itself.
Easy web check-in - using the ticket reference no.
Air conditioning in the flight was optimal - neither too hot nor too cold
Full 3 course meal - an appetizer, a main meal and a dessert along with tea/coffee and a water bottle. The food isn't that great in all honesty but having traveled a decent no.of times they are all equally bad.

3rd class airline first of all it takes 2 hr to reach them on phone second the agents are not at all aware about our itenerary my flight was cancelled as i got email but the agent told its confirmed. Never ever go with this airlines they cancelled my return journey and never gave good options and they rescheduled my onward trip 3 times wow with 11 hours layovers this is what they give customer for what we pay. I would give minus 0 ratings for airindia airlines

Pathetic service and management. An hour wait for baggage drop. Early morning flight was delayed by 1 hour 30 minute. No provision for elderly people, no sitting space near check in gate. Passengers suffer in this situation. If you are looking to travel in Air India, do give a thought.

Still old entitlement oriented service people who have no sense of service. They made me stand in 3 different lines with no shame on their part. When I pointed out that they are asking me stand in yet another line for no fault of mine, they had blank stare, as if where did I come from and what am I expecting them to do? Serve your customers, not frustrate them with line after line, stupids.

Most under rated Indian airlines it's a full service airline with price below budget airlines on some routes, food good as per Indian menu, seats need little improvement, on a 3 hr flight you don't ask for more than that

I flew from Mumbai to New York City on one of their triple sevens. Even as Mumbai is a hub of Air India and check-in counters were open, I was not allowed to check-in until four hours ahead of scheduled departure. They don‘t have own lounges for their premium passengers, but they use and airport lounge, which apparently is the better option, when considering their overall product. After boarding was completed, the plane was quite empty. The economy seating is really outdated and very dirty, you could see all the dirt in the tiny gaps in the personal screen area. The seats are uncomfortable in my mind. The flight attendants were something between rude and friendly and nothing to remember! The plane was not in a very good condition as I noticed. I would not fly with them again! Incredible Air India!

I took an international travel with them recently, which was my first time with Air India, and I was completely loved the experience. The seats are spacious, the food is good, and the staff is really courteous.

Not just once but repeeadly faced non supportive and arrogant behavior. Air India must train their staff how to behave politely with customers.especially mumbai staff.it's about our country's impression to the outside world!

Air India was everything that embodies India. Hospitality, Service, sharing, caring. Somewhere along the way, our national carrier lost the plot. Excessive bureaucracy was it's nemesis. Now up for privatisation, the national carrier has many assets such as Infrastructure, trained manpower, flying rights, properties and so much more. For the sake of Indian Aviation, one hopes the future is bright for Air India and our national carrier is restored of its lost glory. The potential is huge!
