Detailed feedback of Nepal Tour experience booked through Akbat Holidays.

Like other excited traveller, i have placed a call request on Akbar Holidays website to know more about the Nepal tour package during Dec-2022.

So called Akbar Tour expert connected with me and understood my requirement and shared quoted within 4 days. Same was booked by us. This was 8 days 7 night tour in Feb-23.

Following were the incidents of miscommitment:

1. Miscommitment of Vehicle:
It was committed to provide Scorpio or similar SUV however while final confirmation just 8 hours before we flew for nepal it was communicated to us that Creata will be there during all 8 days. While asking for Scorpio (as originally committed) it was informed that Scorpio the nepal vendor of Akbar Holidays has old model and they have alloted create. In my view, knowing the fact one of member is pregnant women, Scorpio was considered better in terms of suspension. As a matter of fact said creata was two years old with inferior quality suspensions. While the the vendor having old model of Scorpio, why it was originally committed to us on 20-Dec-2022? Answer is still awaited from Akbar.

2. Hiding of Facts and giving wrong information:
On 08-Feb-2023, while travelling from Chitwan from Pokhra by road, it was suddenly brought to our notice by our driver that the road conditions are not soo good for approx 100 kms due to construction of road in that entire patch. It took us almost 14 hours for us to reach to Pokhra as against originally commitment of 9-12 hours.

We have experienced that the condition of road was soo bad that it has started impacting health of pregnant women with us. It is sad to say that we were never been informed about this, had it been fact known to us, we would not booked the Nepal tour at all. Considering the health measures, we have immediately booked air tickets frkm Pokhra to Kathmandu. That has led an additional cost of Rs. 11,000/-. No response received from Akbar holidays on this, ideally they should refund this amount along with compensation.

3. Surprises during tour:
While checkin to Nagarkot hotel. We were allotted a side Room and that was more of store room kind converted room. As per our booking confirmation as received from Akbar Holidays, room category photographs were send to us and said Room alloted to us was completely degree different. We were in the hotel only for a night and approx for 12 hours but that has ruined our movement.

I was rather apprehensive about a long international journey with my elderly mother. Akbar Travels made the entire experience so smooth that I would recommend them to friends and family without any hesitation. Thank you to all the staff members who helped us!

Great service provided by Akbar Travels. We booked a car & driver to take us from Mumbai to Sula Vineyards. Sanket at Akbar WhatsApp’d all the details the night before and checked on the day that we had connected with our driver. The driver was also very professional and friendly. This was my second trip with Akbar travels rater with my account manager Sanket. He has always been so responsive especially with my 100 million queries. This time we planned a trip to Kashmir and Sanket could give us the best quote with a detailed planned itinerary. He also helped us with changes in Hotel where we had requested.
