Great Camping Experience. Camps are good and the facilities are good as well.
Right next to alexander point, although you have to walk a bit from the railway station to get here.and beware of monkeys, they can get in your tent.

Service was good but washroom not clean but hotel is so beautiful & quite so i like this place

The experience was awesome in this camp. Specially the service was too good and the service boy Name as Santosh he was so good.

Location is tooo good for a adventurous camping in a rain forest but services are very very poor. If you are a little late for reach then they are not provided you lunch/snacks/dinner/next morning breakfast. Staff's behaviours are average.

Alexander Heritage and rain. Forest resort in Matheran
Recently visited this amazing place from Neral Station to Matheran and then toy train. It is two hours from Mumbai. The one you have to walk from Matheran main market to Alexander Heritage 10-15 mins.
You love the forest vibes dreamy place, enjoying awesome nature, best visit in winters and in early mornings, as there is less crowd. Saturday, Sundays are more crowded. After reaching Alexander Heritage and rain, Forest resort.we stayed in Heritage, Room which was designed so beautifully amazing, interiors, old-fashioned Heritage and vintage interiors and a big mirror, giving vintage vibes.the bathrooms are very clean. I love the Black and White tiles and the furnished room. The chandleier and lamps were so awesome with some show items crafted with lots of perfection. The fans were fitted with lights. Enjoyed every piece of corner in the heritage room. Absolutely in love with us please and want to visit this place very soon.at night, you can enjoy live music and beautiful lights, which makes this place next to heaven.food was very decent and vegetarian dish served. It was a buffet system.with salad sabji Dal rice and desert all vegetarian options. Food was extremely delicious and tasty. I love the night theme. With perfect lighting and camps for adventure, lovers and nature lovers too.
You can spend a beautiful memorable camping, Day with your friends family live music and even movie session in weekends will visit this place very soon. Thanks to the staff for helping us five stars to the awesome ambience

One of the worst property ever visited.they charged 10k for the room which was tooooo unhygienic.the washroom didn't had lock.water got choaked.the taps were not working.the buckets and the mugs were so bad that youbwould think teice before touching.the water from tap was so dirty.the latches of the washroom were broken, there were no toilet seats.the window was broken and fully stained.the curtains were stinking.the bed sheets had too many stains.the quality of bedding were pathetic.the food was below average.the live music was also not good.the musicians wasted 2 hrs in the name of arranging.the tables were broken.the chairs were broken.the water they provided during breakfast.lunch and dinner was below quality.

Overall.bad bad and only bad.we wasted bloody 20k to experience the pain.

It’s nice place for night party and family outing. All types of outdoor sports are a available there. Online music is amazing the worst part is they provide the snacks with very expensive rates like 4 papad for 200 rupees. Better to ask for price before your order. Female washroom was not up to mark and hand wash, flush was not working properly. Rest staff was so helpful and gentle.

A peaceful weekend getaway. Vibe of the place is good, food was good (only veg and Jain on advance intimation). Could be difficult for old people or someone who doesn't prefer hiking. Since it's Matheran, this place is located nearly 15-20 mins away from the centre and there are only two ways to reach, either hike or take a horse ride. We preferred hiking

It's a highly overpriced "resort" with pathetic service. They charge for everything upfront and fail to deliver even on the basic necessities like towels, bedsheets. Rooms were unclean and poorly maintained. They're literally robbing the customers of their money. Most of the reviews here are paid for. They don't clean even their own premises. They're also polluting the sorrounding forest areas with plastics

It's a great and wonderful experience. Night live show is awesome. Our all demands were fullfil by host. Service is. Do visit. One of staff Sachin's coordination is helpful.

We often look at good reviews and get fooled. I did the same and got fooled. Lot of activities they didn’t provide giving the excuse of rain. If the rain is the reason then they should not mention those activities in the package. When I told the same thing at the reception that guy very rudely said please make the remaining payment online without acknowledging the complain. I could have fought and created a scene but I had to let it go. Not at all recommended in rainy season. It’s worst experience. Food was ok and not that good. Please note that they don’t offer or allow non veg food. The location is too far from the parking point. 3 options to travel. By walking it takes 45 mins. By horse ride which is 850 per horse it takes 25 mins. And by train it’s 45 rs per person.

Alexander heritage you are worst. Please improve your management. Please fire the reception guy first.

We stayed here for two nights, the rooms are asthetic. The food was nice. Overall had a lovely experience.

I have never visited a place so horrible like this.staff were not at all helpful, Area was in remote location, i will never ever recommend this place, washroom and tents have hygiene issues, staff give fake information before booking, no activities were done. Higlighy disappointed and waste of money

One of the best resort I have visited till now. The receptionists were really helpful and friendly. Great staff who knew how to serve the customer. The room was well equipped and the service was excellent.a very good place to relax and chill. The scenery was beautiful and it was a relieve to walk in such a quiet and peaceful environment. The view of the sunset from that point was mesmerizing. Breakfast was included and with variety of dishes. The prices are reasonable and the service is excellent. I will suggest you to go with you friends and family members they will definitely enjoy it.

Resort name is by nearest point, Alexander point. In the lap of nature, morning with chirping of birds, surrounded by trees and greenery, food is also nice, you can enjoy other activities like soft archery and carrom.

It was a great stay. The place is beautiful and Chinmay and Neha are such hard working, beautiful souls who would burn the midnight oil (literally) to make sure you have a comfortable stay. The kids enjoyed the stay. Just a slight scope for improvement in the food area. Breakfast and food in general can be better.

If you are truly looking for a holiday which would detoxify you and make you feel completely re - energised than this is the perfect get away in Matheran.
With services on your footsteps the hotel and its staff doesn't leave a single stone unturned in hospitality and truly abides by the statement " Guest is God "

Nice to stay in tent forest base campaign having too much fun at night stay and baroque and other food too location is excellent feel like forest accommodation
but having problem for those who are coming from and travelling from long distance here dont having bathroom to taking bath in morning and another only 5 washroom available on share bases, overall staff is too friendly and provide all requirement to us

But the thing that makes this such a good place are "Staff". All of the people are incredibly helpful and generous with their services. Specially owner Shreyas very humble and down to earth person. The experience overall was very good. The food was good, rooms were clean. The staff was approachable. The premises was clean. The surrounding and location is fabulous
Points to improve
1. DJ system, songs etc for dance parties should be improved.
2. Plug points in rooms were not working and hence it was a problem charging the phone.
3. Barbecue was undercooked

It was pleasant and memorable stay. We had homely feel. Food was very tasty. Staff service was also good.

Had been to Alexander resort last weekend with family and it was a memorable experience. Service was great. What they promise you will be delivered timely. Clean and tidy, weather you stay in room or tent at affordable rates.

Only caution will be
*For room booking do check before a week at least.
*Nearly 20-25 mins walk from station.

Matheran Forest Camping on December 13&14,2019.
The property is beautiful with all basic important facilities and closeness to nature. The resort team is very pro, supportive and polite. We had company outing with 80-90 employees and the arrangements are appreciated even after a month of the trip. Food is Indian veg and very delicious. We enjoyed the stay in tent, campfire, barbeque, fun games, music & dance. Also there are many "points to visit" nearby. Night walk in Forest nearby was the most loved part by me.

So, we were a group of 6 people hosted by Chinmay. The location was serene and away from crowd. We went during Christmas and as soon as we entered the first thing on which our eyes got struck was the decor, cute tents and shamiyanas. And one day it was DJ night and movie screening along with the barbecue. We took a suite room which was neat and clean. They've a buffet system for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food was really good. Chinmay was always around in the case of need. We were overwhelmed by our stay. ️

We three in family travelled Matheran and stayed in Alexander Heritage and Rainforest Resort for two nights (Dec 29 to 31,2019). However it was quite costly with some gaps observed initially but stay in resort was very peaceful and memorable by all means. Mr. Chinmay and team took very well care of us with broad smile and provided everything we were looking and asked for, thanks to him and his team. Being professional nature photographer I additionally enjoyed flora and fauna within resort premises. Cook Somnath was so polite and very good in preparing variety of dishes in breakfast, lunch and dinner, we took all the meals there itself and enjoyed tasty food. Also we enjoyed camp fire and barbeque one of the night. Oh yes, also there was arrangement of a number of games, music and film projection too. So much to say good about resort, persons and our stay but mentioning here in brief it was superb.

This was my 2nd visit to the hotel, there are a lot changes i have seen in my 2 visits to the hotel. The staff if very helpful and cooperative. Now they also have tent facilities and nice rooms for the guests. The food is just awesome and tasty. The hotel is little away from the market, but that the best part away from crowd enjoy with your family friends in the hotel. It is also near by the Alexander point which has a nice view. Hotel is all clean and well maintained. Hope to visit again.
