If you are talking dosa, then this is the place to visit. They have a wide variety of dosas to choose from, which makes it all the more difficult to make a choice as they are all yummy and mouth watering. What makes their dosas more sumptuous is the different types of chutneys they serve with the dosas. Valet parking is available, and everything right from the food to the service is a good deserving 10 out of 10.

Best South Indian food. Must go, if you want to try South delicacies. One of the few vegetarian restaurants that will entice you to go again and again.

Decent place. Malabar curry is my all time favorite. All South Indian dishes are really good. You can also try mini podi idlis for the starter. Chettinad curry (5/5) and Malabar curry (5/5) with Neer dosa (for traditional style) or paratha (tastes good). We also tried their Kalan Biryani which was made with mushrooms (3/5). The walls and ambiance is so pretty. Feels like a mini trip to Southern India.

The steet in a restaurant is really very nice and the atmosphere here is little louder but he service is very good

Well when i entered the restaurant it looked very fancy. I had Thatte idli here and after years of staying in Bangalore, I can very well review authenticity of South Indian cuisine.
The idli was hard and thatte idli is supposed to melt in mouth. Coming to the chutney, they served normal dhania chutney which was not amongst any chutney made in the south.definitely a very bad experience for the price I paid. However the filter coffee was good (order sugarless and then add sugar according to your preference) and the sambar was ok. Hope this helps

I came from Thane specially to have Thali at banana leaf. Thali wasn't available though. I had Never dosa and paneer gassi. I'd say Thane outlet's food was better in taste. Versova outlet is good in space.

Food very costly.quality good.ambiance the most + factor.the chutney items average.the green chutney was served frozen (maybe yesterday's leftover). One consume chutney after proper checking only.

Hotel Banana leaf is located in versova Andheri area, 5 mins walkable distance from versova metro railway station. Hotel is very cool and staffs are so polite. Hotel is based on Kerala food style, where you can get all the south indian food items. It's a very good place for visiting with friends and family. When we visited there it was little bit crowded, later the customers were waiting outside for their table. Taste of food is delicious. Washroom is available.

This place is absolutely must visit for South Indian food lovers. They have too many options. It is actually surprising and everything tastes good.

Amazing food, beautiful ambience and appropriate service. The dosas and medu wadas we ordered were crispy and delicious. The pineapple sheera on the other hand wasn't very good. They have put in a lot of attention into the ambience including real flowers and live diyas. Overall it was a pleasant breakfast experience for us

Authentic South Indian food with a variety of Dishes, originating probably from Kerala. I love the South Indian Thali that comes with three options of bread viz. Appam, near Dosa and Malabar Paratha. I have tried the first two and they are awesome. There is option of besabelli bhat and plain rice. I have tried both and they are extremely yummy. However, there is a limitation of food without onion and garlic, that limits particularly my food choice.

Very good experience in restaurant best food was idling chilly Andhra style, special Dosa and banana leaf special the food was excellent and very good taste and the staff service was very good I am very happy to have my family dinner at banana leaf

Sunday brunch at this venue is a great experience. Roasted garlic uttapam, the idli platter, dosa's.just amazing. Don't forget the filter coffee and if you have a sweet tooth try the akhrot halwa.

Love love love this place! Their stew and appam is to die for. Gun powder idli, rasam make the best combination for me.

Good place to try south indain varieties. Appam and stew is the best option to try and don't go for dessert.

The best spread of south indian varieties - be it some amazing mouthwatering idlis, dosas - their Chocolate Dosa is surely a treat for kids!

Not at all authentic south indian food. Its just normal south indian food which you'll get anywhere around the corner.

Visited Banana leaf after corona outbreak (almost after 1.5 years). Very sad to find that the authentic taste and qualify of food prepared has been lost.

Went twice and both the time experience with this brand was poor. Server doesn’t understand. Food takes time and food not up to mark. I avoid now

Bill was 496.i have give 500.rs single note n 20 tip.inbill book.n other hand I give 500rs single note to get change for my ricshaw.he didnt get change chuta paisa.n the waiter started say no u didn't give money my friend also saw me giving. 2 note 500.it's big lier full staff.plus their fighting back with me.n not give my 500 back

Not worth the hype at all. Service is really pathetic. We waited for so long for Appam and after 10mins when we asked for it they told us that the order was not registered or noted down.
The red and white (coconut) chutney is the only good thing we could get from this place.

If you love South Indian food, then this is a good place. Though a bit expensive but good place.

If you go should try their Coorg idli just awesome taste. Moreover, other authentic South Indian dishes are also available which were just delicious. Should go if you are near it. The service is slow a bit.

The last two visits have been a let down. Maybe because we went on a weekday those two times, and they wanted to clear off previous days food, due to lack of customers, our food was stale and non interesting.

My teacher suggested me this restaurant for South Indian food. She is South Indian too so she understands that well. I'm thankful to her suggestion. Food was delicious and service was good. Ambiance was totally relaxing and pleasant. I'll definitely visit again here.

Have tried multiple south indian thalis in Mumbai, this one is south indian but not authentic, it has a hotel touch. Definitely cannot beat Rama Nayak.
They will take your feedback only if you are well dressed.

I'm deducting 2 stars for their slow service, dirty toilets & not providing warm water bowls to out side sitting customers.

Authentic south indian cuisine available from kerala, tamilnadu, Andhra, karnataka. We were a group of 5.
Tried different dishes, all were awesome.
Service was a bit slow but the it was worth it.

Food is awesome with authentic south Indian taste, but biggest disappointment was Garam Semiya Payasam. The quantity for Payasam is way too less & not worth the price.

Do visit if y'all like south Indian cuisine and proper India meal. They serve food very traditional manner and the taste and flavours to are to good you can enjoy finest South Indian food you live in mumbai best place

Always heard a lot about this restaurant! Well since my childhood, I was very fascinated with South Indian Cuisines as my mom is from South India itself but still I wanted to explore every time the same cuisine, so whenever I used to go out for food my order was as usual fix i.e, Idli Sambar ️.

Today here I ordered Sambar Rice, Dakshin Biryani, how can one leave the scrumptious Filter Kaffee (Coffee) specially when you are at Aunthentic south Indian Restaurant. I must say one of the best no doubt it's authentication gaved this title!

Ambience was superb similar to one Restro which I ate @Kerala.

Soft Music, good crowd, Staff, everything was at mark!

Worst experience
Their chefs special cheese corn dosa was smelling bad as the corn used was not proper.

However, on intimating the issue to manager, he arrogantly and rudely refused to replace the dish and kept on arguing.

If this is the standard of their chefs special, don't know what worse to expect.

Pathetic experience. Never visiting this outlet again.

Been a family favourite for a long long time and when it was time to treat friends to some South Indian.no other place comes to mind.

Authentic South Indian and service is really nice and staff is Cooperative, thought you will find the rates of idli and medu wada high but its totally worth it. They also have thali system, shambar and chuttni delicious and how can i forgot about ambiance you will love the interior of the place must try.

If you a craving for authentic South Indian cuisine, Banana Leaf is the place, amazing ambience, lovely staff smiling and at your service, don't forget the vada rassam with Malgapudi, and the paan in the end to call it a complete experience

Slow service. Plus the food is also not good upto the expectation. Never order pav bhaji at this place you can find better places in Mumbai to have pav bhaji but this is definitely not one of them. I thought they would serve food on banana leaf but it served on plate with banana leaf. Not a good experience though.

It's evergreen! I have been going here from the past 5 or 6 years! The authentic taste of South Indian food is still the same! Amazing variety and super authentic food! Probably the best South Indian Restaurant in the house!

My only other experience of the same brand was in Kolkata. There, it was much brighter. In Mumbai, they have slightly diluted their pure South Indian stuff but they serve authentic South Indian food and relevant liquids.
