One of the best places in Mumbai to run as it offers three different types of tracks. You can run on any of them based on the ground and weather conditions as it is difficult to run inside when it's rainy as it becomes muddy.
Don't need to say much for Mumbaikars but for outsideers, it's a huge ground for walking/ running or for playing cricket football 5mins away from DR. Babasaheb Ambedkar chaityabhoomi. And Dadar chaupati
Great place to visit. Hang out area. Good view with a beautiful garden. If you are near matunga dadar or Prabhadevi than definately vist Shivaji park. ️

Excellent sweets & quick bite snacks. The quality standard is very high. Only one thing, the price is a bit on the higher side. Definitely worth going.
Great place that's been around since ages. We'll known for Kaju Katli. But I've eaten pretty much everything from here. The samosas are great. The Raj Kachori is huge and like a mini meal in itself. Pretty much all the sweets are amazing. P. S.everything is fried in Ghee and Not oil so if thats not for you don't try the fried stuff.
The sweets are very tasty and very attractive. I tried raj kachori here and the taste is good but it's so much heavy that only empty stomach person can finish it. Pricing are also average neither cheap or costly. The only thing is not good that there are very less tables to eat.
The great Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Park has a big Play ground. Person of all ages comes here to play various games, for doing yoga and meditation. But you will find that most of them will be playing cricket. The early morning scene if the ground is Worth watching.
An awesomeness of cricket as a sport is seen here. So many kids and adults sharing one single park space.everyone is so aware of their surrounding, warning people when a ball comes running their way.it is a place of so much energy!
Best place to play cricket. But leather ball cricket should not be allowed on Sunday coz on Sunday huge amount of people come on the ground and it may injure them. I personally got injured with that ball and guy who hit that ball has not came to see me
A park which person in Mumbai is well versed with. The young aspiring cricketers for that matter any sportsman would have spent sometime at the park. Legendary cricketers like Ajit Wadekar, Sachin Tendulkar and Vinod Kambli to name a few have played cricket in this park. A park for the young sportsman and the not so young to walk and the friends to meet and chat up. There is something for everyone in this park.
This park is having it's own historical importance. As it's witnessed many important historical moments such as Mumbai Sah Sanyukt Maharashtra Chalwal. Now also it's very important to facilitate fitness to citizen through various aspects.
Shivaji Park is a public park situated in Dadar, Mumbai. It is the largest park in the island city. Like the Azad Maidan and August Kranti Maidan (formerly Gowalia Tank Grounds), it is of historical and cultural value because of the political and social gatherings it has witnessed, both in pre- and post-independence Mumbai. The 113,000 square metres (28 acres) open space is renowned as the cradle of Indian cricket. Shivaji park is considered as a platform of opportunities for athletes and sportsperson to excel in their sports career. Shivaji park has nets for cricket, court for tennis, ground for Mallakhamba, football and many more. The park was created in 1925 by the Bombay Municipal Corporation, during the British Rule. The ground was known as the Mahim Park till 1927, when it was named after the legendary 17th century warrior king of the region, Chhatrapati Shivaji at the behest of a municipal councillor, Avantika Gohkale. The Shivaji Park Gymkhana, then known as the Dadar Hindu Gymkhana, opened its first Tennis court on the grounds in 1927 and inaugurated its pavilion in November 1931. Besides being a venue for gatherings of freedom fighters in British India, after independence in 1947, Shivaji Park was the focal point of the Samyukta Maharashtra Chalval (the struggle for a consolidated Maharashtra) that led to the present Maharashtra state being formed in 1960. During this period, the legendary writer, journalist, playwright, poet and social leader Acharya Prahlad Keshav Atre led this movement, addressing crowds of lakhs at this ground, earning him the title of "Lord of Shivaji Park". Shivaji Park has been integral to the political gatherings of the local party Shiv Sena, and has witnessed numerous other political rallies. In May 2010, the Bombay High Court declared the ground as a silence zone after residents filed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) in September 2009, complaining about the sound pollution in the area on account of the political rallies. The statue of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, place on the western side of the park is one of the very few statues in which Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is depicted without having drawn out his sword. Instead, Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is shown simply leading the way with his arm outstretched. Created in 1966 using donations from the local population, the statue is a rare example of the pacifist policies of the then state government of Maharashtra. It was considered a sensitive issue by the government to let this statue depict the usual confrontational posture of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, who had fought many battles against the Mughal Empire. Shivaji Park maidan is renowned as the cradle of Indian cricket. It is home to eight cricket clubs like those of the late Anna Vaidya and Ramakant Acharekar, which have produced several international cricketers for India. Some famous names who have trained here are Sachin Tendulkar, Sunil Gavaskar, Ajit Wadekar, Suhas Gupte, Vijay Manjrekar, Ramakant Desai, Balu Gupte, M. S. Patil, Dilip Sardesai, Ashok Wadekar, Padmakar Shivalkar, Eknath Solkar, Dilip Vengsarkar, Chandrakant Pandit, Lalchand Rajput, Sandeep Patil, Ajit Agarkar, Pravin Amre, Vinod Kambli and Sanjay Manjrekar. It is a feeder park to Ramnarain Ruia College and Poddar College in nearby Matunga. The new chief minister of Maharashtra recently take an oath on this ground.
Paradise for sweet lovers wide choice please calories conscious people keep far away lots of sweets and farsan and north Indian food to choose from must eat Raj kachori Chole Bhature Kaju Katli are awesome
I just love this franchise from college days back in 2001. They use pure ghee for all their preparations. Must try Samosa Kachori khasta Gulab jamun Motichoor laddo. Chat is ok. U can give it a pass if u want. But do definitely try the above items. Surely.
The best thing to eat here is Raj Kachori for 140₹. Raj Kachori is a very big kachori filled with dahi wada, some dals, potato and many more things topped with some masala, dahi and chatni of your preference. I had put only sweet mithi chatni on top which was just mind blowing.
, The best Mava Bharfi in Dewali seasons, is good taste and quality, and other sweet and naamken and Dry fruit all time. Old and first shop in Mumbai charni road. Service are good but not big shop but people go there for good taste and quality, price are OK. Thanks. Jaihind.

Nothing comes close to their snacks and mithai. Kesar peda, ras malai and samosa fried in ghee are a popular favorite! Nice place to go and enjoy snack and sweet dishes. Have sitting options. Cleanliness is maintained to very high level. All well dressed employees
Good taste, very good quality and most importantly very clean and hygienic chat shop in mumbai. There is no parking available in that area. And seating space is very less. Must visit if you are in that area.
The quality of sweets is ok for the price. The place is extremely mismanaged and no proper queues. Everyone just pounces on the counter with the hapless service guy struggling to keep up. The owner is busy counting cash every 10 min. Took us 45 minutes to take a simple order.
Great place for all Age group, For kids playground and play area slides and different activities, for aged people Nana Nani park. Football, cricket, tennis etc.
