Chulha Village- Best Restaurant in Ghodbunder Road & Hiranandani Estate

I tried Chulha Village for the first time and I was pleasantly surprised by their Chinese food. The quantity was generous and the food was tasty. The only thing I would suggest is to make it less oily, as it can be a bit heavy on the stomach. For dessert, I had the coconut rolls, which were delicious and fresh. I would recommend this place to anyone who likes authentic Chinese cuisine with a touch of Indian flair.

A great family restaurant with great food and Amazing staff. Would surely recommend this place and especially Captain Laxmidhar who has a genuine and joyful service. Also service is very fast. Enjoy

Situated nearby Hiranandani estate in Thane, it is a mesmerising place with both open and indoor seating area. It gives the vibes of old tradition as the name suggests the interior is all made up of bamboo.

Talking about the food we tried their:
1) Panner lababdar with butter naan
2) Dahi ke kebab
3) Blue blossom
4) French fries
5) Egg biryani
6) Black beauty
7) Masala papad

And the cost for everything was around Rs. 2600 only. Serves - 4 people

Worst Experience Ever!

Simply put. One hour to getting main course. Simple dal and roti. Starter served in 4 min. What we ordered was not available like 4 options he recommended us and got it in 4 min lukewarm.

Look at the audacity of Manager. I am not even ref to attendants but Manager.

His reply, dekhna padega cancel karna gai to kardo. He was not even sorry!

In Marathi we call this “Jevha lokkanna maaj yeto tevha te ashe waagtaat”

Now I realised they served may be cancelled order or leftover!

I really hope this hotel feeds to all their regular customers the way they use to treat.

We had gone to celebrate a birthday. The ambience was good. Service was nice. Food quality and quantity was worth the price.

Sizzler was good. For starters we ordered prawns koliwada and one more prawn item, but it was under cooked. Chicken starter and other mocktail were tasty.
Outside AC, the atmosphere was too hot and felt like there wasn't enough ventilation and need more fans or coolers.

It's was good experience at this place, atmosphere is pretty photogenic, bt in terms of Food it was extremely average (Vegetarian Food) It wasn't fulfilled my expectations at all. There's alot of other restaurant's for vegetarian options this one not one of thm. Bt might good for the Non veg. Service was good over all not an bad experience bt nothing extravagant as well. We tried shev bhaji, which had no taste. Consistency is very poor.
Try only non veg here. U will get chuli varchi bhakri.

Great food. Nice ambience. Staff is also well mannered and good service. Good place to visit for people staying in Hiranandani Estate and nearby.

Went to this place with family to spend some best time. But it was a disaster. Found pin inside soup. Food service was horrible. Ordered veg Kolhapuri and requested to make it more spicy. Not only we got it after an hour, instead of spicy one we got it bitter with excess amount of turmeric inside. Ordered lollipop which again served after an hour. There is no way to give 0 star rating else I would have given that. Worst service. I will make sure not to visit this place again in my life, even if it will be the last place on earth.

Really bad food and worst service ever provided.

When asked the waiter to pack remaining, the waiter got empty container to the table and packed it in front of us.

Bad experience. Being Sunday, delay is expected, but bad quality of food at this high price, totally unacceptable. First dish, kebab, totally cold, as if we have ordered online. Second dish, chicken, again cold. Had to get it reheated. Third dish, sizzlers, it came hot, but no one served it until it got cold. Fourth dish, chinese, too salty. No option for kids, pizza not available, fries not available, non spicy chicken, nopes. Kids had to manage with cold drink. Even sizzling browny wasn't yummy. Overall, waste of money and time and mood.

This restaurant is seriusly under staffed. Plus they take atleast an hour to prepare any dish and make customers wait. Quality might be good but seems like ethics and integrity is gone for a toss. Better look for some other restaurants near by

It's one of the best restaurant in Thane. You can enjoy delicious veg, non veg starters, main course. Also hard drink is available. They are having good quality of sodas as well. Ambience wise it is really good. They are having very good Seating capacity. You can enjoy dinner with large groups. During peak hours you may find waiting time of 30-35 minutes.

Very good ambience, good food, nice tables and two levels of seating. May be a little crowded at times and has loud music that seems very out of place for the ambience just like many other places in Thane but all in all a good place to have a meal

One of the best places to dine in with your friends in Hiranandani. The ambience is awesome plus you may get a vibe of dhaba here as well. The food tastes pretty good.

The food is delicious. We had ordered a variety of Veg and Non veg starters, Chicken tikka biryani and ice cream. The service is very good and rates are also reasonable.

Good place for family dining. Good food the staff is okayish. Would have love to give them 4 4½ but they have kept a Dobermann in a cage just outside the Restaurant so.there is that other than this the vibe is good

Overall maintenance and services of this bar n restaurant have to be rated as extremely poor. Food was not at all hygienic. Restaurant was observed full of house flies. We have asked the serving staff to change the water filled glasses as flies get into them twice. Mosquitos were also biting below the table.

Restaurant seems to follow one gravy policy. All items I have ordered seems to be prepared by tossing the key content like shrimps, chicken or paneer in common gravy, which tasted bad. Even after spending more than 3k for two, food was not at all good. Frozen sea food was used stating it as fresh.

Seating has been simulated to resemble retro look, which is made very uncomfortable. No high rise chairs are available for kids.
No parking space is available for cars. Wallet parking guy will park it using 'jugad'. Total wastage of money and time.

Situated in the bylanes of the Godhbundar road, easy access from the Hiranandani Estate. This place is located where you would least expect a good place to be.
Nicely lit with beautiful hanging lamps, it has a gated corner for people who can't bear the heat and need to enjoy food in the air-conditioned corner.
It's also got a normal open air area covered by a tirpal in the monsoon. A staircase leading to a third space which is well lit, peaceful place to have dinner.
The food is interesting and tasty, can order drinks if you want.
Chulha, on a Monday straight from office is a blessing in disguise.

Amicable staff and guess what, the best thing about chulha is that it has a Valet parking.

A beautiful ambience and awesome food quality. A very good music which makes one's ear soothing so that people can live the music and enjoy the food with family and friends both. The service is great and the staff is helpful. Orders are on time and the sitting arrangements are very different and place is beautiful and awesome.
It's nearby to highway road so easily commutable.
There is bar available for beverages of all types.
The best beverage I liked is virgin mojito.
Overall one of the best place I felt good.

They have an excellent ambiance and varieties in menu, but neer dosa and dead by chocolate wasn't upto the mark. Neer dosa don't have it's own aroma in it. Same goes with dead by chocolate, it should be renamed as dead by Hershey's. As a chocolate love I hate that.

Have been there for lunch and the ambience was good and it is very spacious with multiple a/c halls. Would be a good option for party with a small teams.

Nice place to hang out with your friends and family. Good ambience with live music. Popular and often crowded. Food is good and tasty, alcohol is served. Staff is good and place is clean. It is far from Thane railway station, accessible by rickshaw or bus or your own vehicle.

They have done lot of value additions from the initial days.

Turned out to be a disappointment. Like if you are more interested in ambience than food you can go there.
Food was average which was a shock considering how vast the menu was.
I really wished they had limited options but above average food.
Starters were so-so, we ordered Paneer and Chicken, again as I said very average nothing to come back for.
Main course was Chk tikka Sizzler (which tasted good) and Malaysian noodles (fancy name for flat noodles, again very average).
Prices for the average food they serve is costly I felt, but then if you are here for the ambience the prices can be justified.

Oh by the if you happen to sit in the open and have your food, bad idea I would say there is this spray sort of thing which keeps on spraying water (or I don't know what) which lands on your face, food, everywhere.
That really bothered me because I don't know where that water is coming from. So that calls for a minus 1.

A place which truly abides by its name. Decorated with bamboo sticks and sprinklers replacing fan and AC, this place is wonderful for people who are bored of classy ambiences and are looking for change in ambience. Its traditional ambience along with the waiters who are also dressed in dhoti kurta keeps its classy and traditional at the same time.
We ordered a paneer starter which was quite delicious and paneer shashlik sizzler which could have been a little more on spicy side than being sweet, still tasted just fine.

The place is very well lit, it gives out a complete family restaurant vibes. The ambience is awesome. All the sections, be it the AC section or the bamboo cubicles or the small wooden igloos or the terrace section, be assured of a totally awesome ambience. The food is average, the service is a little slow which might be due to the fact that the place is always packed to the capacity, if u r planning a visit make sure to reach thr a little early.

Ambience is good but food was not good. We ordered chicken soup but chicken was missing from soup. Then we ordered chicken barra which they call their signature dish which was very salty. No proper fan arrangement also. Overall very bad experience.

The place named exactly what it had. They have rotis and bhakris cooked on chulha. The rice bhakri was super soft. You guys will love to have that. Chicken taste was good. Just the service is a bit late. As I had booked my table on zomato then too they made me wait for half an hour or more to find a table. The atmosphere was good mild music will add a point. We had 2in 1chicken kebab, chicken tandoori kebab, chicken gravy dish and tomato soup. The taste was good.

Was an excellent experience. We had chicken tandoori which was excellent. Soft jucy and really good to eat. The rates are moderate and food extremely good. Strongly recommend for family. In evening hours there is a wait so it's a good idea to pre book. However even with a wait it is worth it.

One should visit this place for 3 reasons ie THE SETUP, FOOD AND THE FAMILY ORIENTED PLACE.

AMBIENCE is huge with plenty of sitting options like the AC dining hall, the khat and table (dhaba style), hutments for group dining, terrace dining place. So one has one of many options to choose from. They have a live music area where live music is played on Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday eve. The cleanliness and hygiene is well upto the mark inspite of being a big setup.

STAFF AND SERVICE was good as they have a force of staff working here. They are prompt well dressed in a unique style and well mannered.

AFTABI KHUMB was nice cheese filled mushrooms with mustard base.

2 IN 1 CHICKEN KEBAB was a unique starter in two colours. The green coloured one was filled with kheema and the red coloured one with cheese stuffing. Kindoff unique dish to have.

CHICKEN MARATHA TIKKA was a regular tikka with in house special marinate and was also good

CHICKEN RUSALI GRAVY was a dish to mention. Was a semi thick gravy native to LUCKNOW style preparation with well grounded spices to make it very flavourful and tasty. This was again a very different yet nice preparation and will definitely recommend this one. Not very spicy but flavourful.

CHICKEN CHILLY GARLIC POT RICE this was also a good option if one wishes to opt for CHINESE. Liked the loads of fried garlic garnished on it.

GULAB JAM was very soft, hot and melting in mouth.

CARAMEL CUSTARD, now this is undoubtedly the best caramel custard one may have or get in thane. Very authentic and just tge way it should be.

To sum it up will definitely visit many more times to explore the entire menu which itself is huge and each and every dish in the menu is different from one another.

Also i learnt that the restaurant keeps on updating the menu so that the guests visiting here aren't bored or done repeating the same menu which is a progressive thinking worth mentioning.

Chulha Village can easily be located using maps. The exterior look is good while the interiors are mind blowing. The entrance door is majestic and once you enter, you have a different seating to choose from. They have the dhaba style beds as seating, chairs are also available. They also have an AC section. It's best to reserve your seat to get best seating experience.

Service: The staff follows a dress code. Shows the efforts put in to give it a village feel. The food was served timely and the staff was also very proactive.

Value for money: The pricing is slightly high but the ambience and the service justifies it right. If you wish to have some yummy food with a great ambiance or would like to take your girl on a date, it's a good option.

Quality: No comments on the food. Frankly I loved the food. The only disconnect was the Sizzler that got served with slightly extra salt and the staff agreed to change it. Also the BBQ wings has a Desi touch to it. It's similar chicken lollipops than the wings. Quality:

Not good as expected. The 2 stars are for ambience and live music. There is too much of rush and waiting. The service was poor. They took much time to deliver than the expected. Food quality is not upto the mark, even quantity is very less. Staff found to be little rude.
