I ordered paneer bhurji veg Hyderabadi and chapati because they don't have tandoor chaas (butter milk) was not that good at all food was excellent as per price and area
This one is for ages, the taste of the food never changes and the staff is very friendly. Do try the kheer at the end of the meal or just go there to have the kheer.
A place that gets better with age. The food is simply the best home-away- from-home kinda fare that will keep you wanting for more. You must try thier kheer.
Crystal: Homely & pocket friendly food with AC seating now. This place has amazing homely food and Mecca of hosteliers. You can try anything on menu and you will simply love it. It serves basic Indian veg food. So don't compare to other restaurants. You can also try sweet dish and that too are amazing. Refer menu photo with this review. Quick service restaurant right on beginning of Marine drive. (Location is right opposite to Girgaon Chowpati, near /to Willson College).
Crystal. That small in the nook restaurant next to Wilson College. The name itself evokes such strong and pleasant memories. This restaurant has been feeding us since we were college students.we are well and truly into middle age now. Every visit here brings a tinge of nostalgia. Much has changed here and yet.nothing has changed. Though the infrastructure is being modernised to keep up with the times, the food and the waiters are the same. Food which tastes just like it was made at home and served with some love and dedication. The taste of the food in all these years is unchanged. The evergreen favorites of paneer bhurji, baingan bhartha, rajma and dal still rule the roost. And the sweet phirni and fruit salad cream are worth dying for. Best of all, the bill is still light on your pocket! Thank you Crystal, and thank you Uncle. I am sure you must be smiling at us from up there. May your soul always rest in peace.
Tasty good at extremely pocket friendly prices. Situated near Girgaum Chowpatty, a must visit place for foodies. Baingan Bharta and their Pani puri are all time hit items
Nice to see this good old place renovated. You get the same great taste of simple veg meals and mouth watering kheer now in an air conditioned restaurant which has been refurbished to modern standards.
Home made Veg food better than home that's Crystal for you. The food was always brilliant and Now with the place gone AC it's bliss. Dal, Rajma, Batata Bhaji. Chapati Thier Masala Chaas. Anything from the menu oh yeah the Naigaon Bharta everything can become your favourite. A basic place with food you'd like to come back to.
Fruit Cream & Kheer are a must try for those with a sweet tooth. Rice preparation are a big NO, as they are tasteless. Malai Kofta is delicious. In all, food is value for money.
No doubt the food is finger licking good. If you are going in a group of 3 or more, get ready to wait for 15-20 min. For individuals or couples, they would get their table soon. The only demerit is individuals/couples may need to share their tables. Specially for individuals, other individual customer may sit at your table before you get up.
If you are fond of North Indian punjabi food with dhaba style preparations, this is place for you. Menu is limited but items are delicious and very reasonable. No parking facilities available for restaurant.
The location of this place is good. Simple ambience and very pocket friendly restaurant but the service was too slow and they didn't even care about it. It's usually rush here and people stand in queue. But they really need to work on service so that order comes quickly on table and people on table don't have to wait long for their order and queue outside can also be avoided. The food was good didn't find anything great. My overall experience was ok.
It's good! The prices are very moderate for a restaurant. Surely you won't get a five star experience, but its manageable and there's AC so sufficiently good. If you want cheap food with good taste, surely consider this!
Has a fab collection of good food. Centrally loacated. Open late in night. Can easily hamg out with friends. Especially the punju food like chole, rajma, gobhi aloo fruit cream custard, firni are out of the world.are superb are as good as it gets. Also is the fact that its not much crowded.
