Hi we underwent treatment for my mother on full implant of the upper jaw post accident, The doctor was very polite n calm to understand the situation, he did surgery very well with out any issue, now my mom is recovering well.bless doctor. Five stars from our side. I remember one incident my mom was not well we called him mid night he was available. I have not seen this type of doctor in my entire life. Extremely help. Dr Paul Mathai is very professional and extremely helpful doctor I could ever visited.
So to brief about the case, my father diagnosed with oral cancer (lower lip near jaw) and I was suggested to meet Dr Paul. He guided the right process for my father's treatment with pros and cons involved. Introduced us with the specialist oncologist, who eventually suggested surgery to remove the affected part.

In this process, Dr Paul remained involved at each stage and answered all the small questions with patience I had, irrespective of time or number of questions.

Helped my father, to mentally prepare before the surgery and so as after, due to the age factor.

Even after surgery his continues guidance of how to deal with the after-effects of surgery and radiation. Its been a year and now he is helping and guiding on how we make sure, my father gets his implants done, as he used to wear denture, which is now difficult due to surgery. And again, under Dr Mathai's treatment, we understood entire process of implants as well.

I would also mention, the staff are helpful and the clinic is very clean and hygiene is well maintained.

I am definitely looking forward to see him for the remaining treatment!

I had 2 wisdom teeth problems. 1 had sensitivity & it had to be extracted.he did the procedure very smoothly & gave proper post- extraction guidance. 2nd tooth had a horizontal growth with a complication that my sensation nerve was just touching near the tooth. & at the time of extraction there was a possibility that I could have lost my taste, hot/ cold sensation if the nerve was damaged by any chance as it was a surgery. I visited Dr. Paul Mathai. & he explained to me all the risks before moving ahead with ahead with any treatment. He had given me 2 options- either to cut the ½ tooth.or extract it by taking risk. I moved ahead with full tooth extraction. He did the surgery with so much attention & made me feel very comfortable. I got stitches in the mouth.which were later removed. & the BEST THING is. I had confidence on the doctor.that he will do his best. & I DID NOT LOSE MY SENSATION & TASTE! I took a big risk.but in the end.with all his support & attention.i could overcome such a big risk. Dr Paul thank you so much for my dental surgery. I got my 2 tooth removed, Doctor got it in just one appointment with minimal anesthesia. It was a painless surgery. The recovery was also very fast. I met doctor Paul, he is very friendly person. After talking to him, I was really satisfied.
Before meeting him I have been to many surgeons for my treatment. As per their decisions I need to undergo for a surgery but this guy gave me a new option that if I want to skip surgery I can take antibiotic through IV. This treatment might get me rid of my surgery. This idea was like a ray of sun in darkness.

Few years ago I visited Dr Mathai for my mom's treatment. As a dentist I wanted best dental care for my mom.she had denture & she ws having trouble eating with it.it didn't suite her gums.bt for implants bone wasnt sufficient
At Dr mathai's a procedure wa done first to avail good amount of bone for implants& then after few months implants & rest of the procedure was done.

My mother had a chief complain of severe pain in both her upper and lower jaws. Under the guidance of Dr Mathai we got my mother's full mouth extraction and rehabilitation done. We got the implants placed followed by an immediate Fixed Temporary prosthesis which was later on replaced by a fixed permanent prosthesis. We were given the best possible options by Dr Mathai for implant supported dentures. They have remarkably good knowledge about the latest advancements in dentistry and they apply them for most of the procedures.

My mother is totally comfortable and happy with it both functionally and aesthetically. The quality of treatment and the perfection provided is outstanding. I have been going to this place with my dad since I was a kid, now I am 31 years old. Mr. Mathai is the most experienced dentist I have ever come across with. I have my friends who are dentist's as well but the experience and knowledge and the work done with precisely by Mr. Mathai is truly exceptional. I will always recommend this place to anyone who has any work done related to their tooth. Might be a little pricey for some but our teeth is some what of our life line which needs to be perfect and long lasting. Quality of life depends on it and this is the one stop solution.

Dr. Mathai is an outstanding dental surgeon in Mumbai. People would normally dread to go to a dentist, for, you associate pain and trauma with them - until you visit Dr. Mathai. He is arguably a brilliant and most sought after dental specialist - at times you wait days together to get an appointment. He is sharp in diagnosis, knowledgeable and consulted by fellow professionals. Yet, he is warm and friendly and would modestly strike a conversation to make his clients at ease. Perhaps he is 15-20% more pricey - but pitted against the outstanding predictable value of services you get, at his hands, it pales. He has a modest yet well appointed clinic with modern widgets - both soft and hard ware and supported by long serving support staff. I recognize and appreciate the way he treats and deals with his staff. He communicates and consults with them, as if they are his professional colleagues.

Very rarely I had come across such an outstanding care giver with modesty and respect for people. Most of his clients are long timers - once people visit him for some dental issue, they keep coming, despite the fact they moved their residence far from his clinic.

When my wife and I first came to Dr. Mathai, we had been treated by about half a dozen other dentists, some worse than others.
Over the 16 years that we have been with Dr. Mathai we have found it difficult to go anywhere else.

Even before any idea of Covid 19 had spread, Dr. Mathai’s clinic has been under strict antiseptic protocols including foot-operated taps for the washbasin. Even at that time, he always wore a mask and gloves.

Dental services these days do not come cheap but they are worth it. He never recommends unnecessary interventions, or takes any decision against a patient’s interest.

His dedication, expertise and ever-increasing knowledge-base about the latest advancements in dentistry is remarkable. Apart from his professional excellence, I find him very personable and witty, someone who is always ready to answer a question with lively examples.

My recent visit to his clinic, in the light of the pandemic, revealed much stricter safety protocols. I found myself checked as per current requirements and besides he and all other staff were in full PPE gear and double gloves; and I need to add I was given some horrible-tasting disinfectant mouth wash before he began to attend to my teeth!

A lot of his treatments appear to less painful owing to his experience and the care taken while performing the treatments.
