Beautiful location with amazing service & good food.
Would definetly recommend for peaceful stay.

It is very nice and comfortable place for families. The food is also great especially breakfast lunch and dinner.

Very Beautiful Resort at secluded location amongst Jungle!
Bit old property but they have maintained the property and provide good service. Far from Mahabaleshwar market n Venna lake so plan accordingly but stay was relaxed. No need to go out of resort there is everything in the property for kids and adults.

Very good resort with just aside to hill which give a great view and atmosphere was cool and great. Food is great in taste.yes pet friendly

Rooms are very average for the price charged. Stayed for 2nights and 3 days. Breakfast is bad and food served is very average. The rooms are very unkempt and dusty. Upholstery was dirty. Towels were stained and only on request were changed. Staff is courteous but then there was no hot water and they couldn't do anything about it. As the crowd increases on weekends the food and service gets bad. The surroundings are great but the place has a lot to improve on for the price charged. Would not recommend this place

The resort is good for stay and relaxation. The services were perfect. Good and friendly staff. Food was also good. This was my second visit to the resort.

Forest County is Located around 9 Kms away from the main Mahabaleshwar Market.
The Property was Beautiful, We stayed in the deluxe cottage. Cottage size is very Big.
The food was ok and very limited options. They have to increase variety.wifi is working properly and good signals. We have some issue of hot water but they solved next day,
The staff is very good and ready to help. Overall it was a good Experience.
If You're looking to spend time away from the busy life, It is a Perfect place to Go.

My experience was not good with this place.

Only good point is that it has good view. Otherwise nothing good.

- Room was in very bad condition. Most of the things broken, like- room entry door, bathroom door, floor, curtains, wardrobe, drawer.
- Dirty blankets, Smell in Towels.
- No hot water in evening hours after 7/8 PM.
- Food was ok
- Breakfast has limited options
- No gym or any other activities.
- Swimming pool was not cleaned.

It is around 8 km from Mahabaleshwar. There is completely narrow road pass through forest. So, In nights hours, it's completely dark, no lights on roads, it's risky to reach there. There was so much fog with zero visibility. So, If you are planning to roam around Mahabaleshwar then this is not good option.

Also, If you ask for some small things (room service, or food, or etc.) then they will give different excuses. So, Room was not worthy for amount I spent.

This place quite sleuded in the Nature, 9 km away from Mahableshwar city towards Tapola. The property is vast with varieties in rooms like Delux room, independent cottages and Deluxe cottages.
We stayed in Cottage room around 5 k all inclusive. The garden lawn was massive and the main attraction of swimming pool in this summer was the best offering. The pool was sufficiently big to enjoy the swimming laps and around 5 ft deep max.
The property had watching tower where you can enjoy your cup of coffee with birds eye view on all the surrounding. Would like to mention that Rooms luxury was not on par with the rate, however the span of property, which included a strawberry farm where you could pick up those for yourselves and nature made for the shortcomings.
Deducting 1 point for the food cost, very expensive, quantity not on par with price. Also no option of nearby other food restaurant (you have to go back 9km to the city)

This Hotel is extremely beautiful, wonderful experience, very beautiful valley view of nature, we do not have a single point wherein we can raise our concern…. We have also enjoy the nature, the restaurant food amazing …. The staff was so nice. Greenery was beautiful thank u forest county resort

Excellent rating goes to the staff who are very well mannered, very polite and cordial. They work as a team and have a sense of ownership. The cottage was a different experience. The resort is totally cut away from the city amid greenery. Though network is low wifi solves the problem. Food is also good.
Suggestion: Adding more variety of flowering plants like ‘elder’ and trees like pine and spruce will make the property more attractive

Stayed there on the 18th and 19th of Feb 2022, upon arrival we were given our booked cottage but the room was quite damp and had a bad odor on complaining we were shifted to another cottage, so this cottage was a prefabricated house and had its limitations. Upon walking in the room it made peculiar noises, the bathroom was not upto the mark, they could and genuinely they should work on their infrastructure, we paid 12000/- for 2 nights which is not cheap at all, the food too could improve a lot, breakfast is a waste of money as we didn’t find the breakfast appealing at all.

The location is nice surrounded by dense forest, the staff is very helpful and courteous they go out of Their way to help you.

I visited forest county on 26 jan it was very nice experience. It's a beautiful hotel with best services in totality customer satisfaction is their top priority for sure.rooms are damn specious and they provide us with all the modern facilities we must have not taken even though off.we do not have a single point wherein we can raise our concern, it was that beautiful experience! The staff was so helpful and courteous.the restaurant food is served was just amazing.the restaurant food is very nice. Bathrooms are super specious with a bath tub inside wherein hot water is available at all times. The swimming pool is also very nice, we enjoy with big swimming pool, the swimming pool is clean. We have also enjoy the nature, very nice valley facing view as well as forest view it gives us pleasure.thank u forest county and i'll visit again and again.

Nice staff. Good service, good food. The place is so quite, out of the town and on height. The road which led to this property is good.

Place situated far from city mahableshwar, quite silent and inbetween the nature. Room service staff were good.

Stayed at the resort for the New Years and had a good time. Cottages are good for family and good service for the staff. Had some issue with Hot water for bath and had to manage with slightly cold water. Food is good and reasonably priced. No alcohol available in the menu and we had to arrange it separately through the staff. It’s located little away from the town and good place to relax. It would be good to add some activities and games for kids at the resort.

Stay was Good but after Stay has to face lot of problem as not bill provided for stay and after calling 14-15 times there is very rude answer from the concern person, PLEASE TAKE YOUR GST BILL BEFORE LEAVING THE COUNTER

Positive Reply from the Owner, but situation still the same till date no bill has been received nearly 1 months passed, only posting positive reply will not be helpful the bill has to be given/mailed.

Resort infrastructure, location n interior was good but the service during dinner time was pathetic n had issue with loud music being played during sleeping hours.

Spacious rooms, quality service, polite and courteous staff, cleanliness-hygine, location everything is a plus. The only concern is the food which isn't bad could be improved. There you might find a guy named Saif, he generally sings karaoke at the restaurant. Such an amazing guy! Even the receptionists, servers all were kind and helpful. Cheers to all of you guys. Would love to see you again!

Beautiful property, quite a lot of open space. Nice mountain view. Lovely swimming pool, Rooms have 24 hours hot water facilities, handy especially in winters and monsoons. It's a little far from city center. And that a good as well as negative point here. You get to see nature at best, but if you are venturing out in evening would be super lonely ride back to hotel in night. There is nothing much on the Tapola road after a point And their food quality definitely can be improved, It was average. Not good not bad.

We visited this place on Oct 23rd 24th. It's a very very nice resort. Our room had a beautiful view of the thick forest around.
We really enjoyed our stay in such a beautiful close to nature place. Staff were very sincere and hardworking. Food is good.

Hotel was good. Location is best. Hotel staff is good. Don't worry about the location hotel has a good road. No problem to reach hotel. Hotel is in the lap of nature away from city traffic.

It is a heaven on earth. Completely surrounded by mountains and fog you will never feel coming back to your normal city life. Location being great, food here is a delight like a cherry on the cake. The food here is so good that I didn't have anything outside the resort, it is soothing to your taste buds. Mr Sehgal the manager here is so friendly that it felt like he is my old friend. Also did he helped us to make booking over the call as I had issues with the booking agent. He personally looked after my booking and got things arranged for my feasibility. I would highly recommend this place if you are seeking Mahabaleshwar or Panchgani. This place is better than almost all the high rated hotels and resorts around.

The resort was good but is into extreme corners with no network.

But the rooms are good, spacious with Jacuzzi for 5000 bucks. Very good deal.

But not good for two people, could be visited in groups because its mid in forest with very less people around.

Unclean room, unclean bathroom, toilet roll with green moss, water supply low, unclean shelves, moist slippery floor, pricing could be much more better and competitive, mobile network issues, road to reach there is but challenging…

That said… beautiful views, great and speedy room service, amazing and delicious food, nice balcony, Completely off grid, great for group families (although have to request them to clean room in front of you upon arrival)

Oh and this place is pet friendly and great for them to be off the leash too… although there are quite a few strays around you do get separate area around the swimming pool

Cons:
Food is pathetic.
Breakfast buffet is worst even after paying more than 5k per night, served tasteless sabudana khichadi, poha, bread butter and Jam.

Forest County Resort was, appropriately, inside a forest. By the time we reached, it was night & the route had seemed a little scary. But the Resort itself was well - lit & seemed welcoming. The rooms were a cottage kind. It was sparsely furnished - just the basics. But the AC worked fine which was a relief.

For dinner the first night, it seemed nothing was available except Dal Khichdi. The breakfast buffet was decent however - Chhole Bhature, Fried Egg, Omelet, Sabudana Khichdi, Uthapam. But the breakfast area was quite cramped.

The location may be a consideration for many, specially if you don't have your own vehicle. The resort is almost half an hour away from the Mahabaleshwar town & public conveyance may not be easily available. Also, we didn't get a cellular network in the resort.

Forest County resort in Mahableshwer is amazingly beautiful specially in raining season with a beautiful place to relax and makes us feel -at -home.i had a great experience during my stay there. The rooms are very classy with all the facilities to fulfil our needs. The food served there is very delicious. And also not forgetting to mention about the management, who are very pleasing. As a whole i had a very good time there and would surely like to visit there again.

The location is beautiful. Swimming pool was dirty, the staff is too lazy to serve. The service desk guys are rude. The curtains of the room were dirty. Do not be here if you are always a online person. Resort is at a remote place so if you have your private vehicle for nearby travel it will be good.

I will be very honest for my traveller friends out there. Will recommend it only if great view matters to you, other than that the place is a dump in terms of food quality, hygiene and staff. The reception desk is extremely rude and non accomodating. The breakfast buffet is not even rs. 100 worth, the items were probably stale, dirty plates and the most irritating was the flies.pls book at your discretion.

Nature lover? Want peace for a while? Want to get away from crowd? Oh, wait you are in the right place. We basically had planned to stay for 1 night only.which was just superb. The view is heavenly here.that made us extend for another night. The Rooms, the staff everything is just amazing. Food quality is superb. You can just not get over it. Must visit place. Iam sure if I visit Mahabaleshwar next time, I am surely gonna stay here itself! ##Highly recommended

It was a great experience at this place. We booked the cottage for 2 people back in Jan to celebrate my husband's birthday. The place is too good and you can enjoy the nature so closely. Rooms were so clean and warm and food was also tasty, especially breakfast. To sum up, this place is just awesome.

An amazing breathtaking location and the view. It's a great place if you want some serene views and pin-drop silence. The drive from Mahabaleshwar to the resort is wonderful between the dense jungle. It's 8 km en route to Tapola. The Staffs are very friendly. Food quality was good.

Me and my mom decided to take a 2 day break in the middle of the pandemic and we chose to stay at the Forest County Resort.
It is a bit ahead of Mahableshwar. But that's the point. It is beyond the market and crowds, in to the forest.
It's a pretty little property with limited cottages. We were staying in one of the Studio cottages.
The property has a cute watch tower. Don't miss having your evening chai looking at the sun setting in the hills.
To reach the market you have to drive but you can walk out of the property and go in to the forest for a hike.
The food is average and so is the breakfast spread. But the best thing is that the room service and restaurants rates are the same. So except the breakfast, don't bother to go to the restaurant. Simply order in your room.
It is a pet friendly place and the most amazing thing is that they have 3 pet doggos of their own. One of them, Milo, accompanied me for me trek in to the forest. And that was the best experience of the trip.
Don't miss on plucking some fresh strawberries from the farms near the resort. There are two. Bargain the rate with the owner and tell them that you want to do the picking yourself. They would be more than happy.

Great place for a getaway.the place is isolated from the city, the name is apt for the location.

Resort justifies it's name as it is surrounded with lush green forest. Sun rise from this place looks incredible. City center is almost 7kms.

Mobile network is too poor. You just rely on wifi. Download the offline map before leaving the resort

Suggestions:
Hot water frequency must be increased.
As it is cold here, room slippers can be provided.
Breakfast can be served hot

Probably the first time where I booked the place without even researching more about it. Lucky for me the place looks exactly like the pictures in their website. Me and my wife had a great time there. Open air, beautiful weather and amazing food were nothing short of icing on the cake. The only downfall for us was we didn't have a car of our own so it was a bit difficult for us to travel to the market everyday as the location is a bit inside and secluded. Lots of love and praises to the hotel staff they were amazing and extremely helpful. Always had a smile on their face ready to help us with anything we needed. Would definitely love to visit again hopefully soon
