Our family had great time, away from everyday hustle, no network, no phone calls, pure quality time with family. The short farm visit was nice and informative for kids, the hospitality of staff was amazing and praiseworthy. Very happy with our experience. Will definitely recommend and visit again.

The beutifully designed resort, maintaned in absolutely nature friendly way. Rooms are bit small but adequate. The nature lovers will appreciate the bird watching in the early hours of the day. The activities like camp fire, karaoke are good. Hospitality of the staff is worth mentioning. Restaurent is good. Food is superb. Worth visiting, would love to recommend to all.

Wonderful place for stay. A green resort. Environmentally conscious. Very comfortable rooms with excellent views, good restaurant, good service.

We just had a couple spa (90 mins). It was excellent. Professional and very relaxing. Jobish and Kajol were really very good and we would recommend you experience this.

A lovely resort in the Sahyadri tiger Reserve.spacious rooms, spa, and good activities such a barbecue, fishing, nature walks.

Curtains and beadings were not clean, despite asking multiple times and changing bedsheets and rooms still same issue

Food was slightly expensive but the friendly staff and the indoor and outdoor activities compensated it. A wonderful place to stay.

Finally today got the opportunity to stay in else several times jus was able to have lunch/dinner in their outer area restaurant.
A Luxury resort to stay with good ambience.active n polite staff.neat and clean surroundings.lots of greenery around.

Just a perfect gateway a short distance from Pune at Koyna Valley. Place is nestled in nature and very calm atmosphere all around.

Excellent place near Goshatwadi on the Karad Chiplun highway. It is strategically located at almost the mid point on this segment of the highway. Well planned resort on a hill and most rooms are forest facing. Central location for sports and trekking routes nearby. Fishing in the Koyna River and barbeque-cum-bonfire on the river bank of Koyna is recommended.

Amazing experience.super peaceful.very impromptu services.super clean.no mosquitoes at all. 100% worth visiting.salute to the minds and the thought behind this resort.their thought of zero wastage.tree plantation.reuse and recycling and clean space is exactly what they are doing.

On the last day we had bitter experience at the resort.new neighbours checked in.they were super noisy.we couldn't sleep at night.called the reception but nothing was done about it, instead at 11.30pm we were asked to shift to another room, to sleep. Somehow the night passed and in the morning we actually had to shift our room coz we wanted peace and rest people were in no mood to speak to the trouble makers.

We are birders from Mumbai. Here we met Raj Rathod, who is an excellent bird guide. Had lots of knowledge and experience in birding. 5 birding trips with him were super amazing. It's coz of him that we could explore sahyadri mountain birds. Birders must look out for Raj Rathod in koyna.

Food and location is excellent, Service need some improvement, AC, Geyser and intercom was not working, and it took them at least a day to fix it, I booked it thru Club Mahindra, and that is why they denied to change or upgrade (agreed to pay difference cost too).

Good time to visit is during Diwali.

The approach road is not concrete The rooms and bathrooms were old The bathroom linen was old and appeared little unclean The buffet breakfast had very limited choices The location was among forest but did not have the feel of hill station because it was at the base of hill. There was no locker in the rooms The staff was very well mannered The rooms need renovation and the garden can be made more colourful

Went on to take a mini weekend relax experience and enjoyed to the fullest.
Roads are nice with few rough patches.
Resort is in the midst of koyna forest with great view of river n mountains.

This property is nestled near a small village called Goshatwadi. Koyna river flows nearby. There is red soil, green tree cover, chirping birds, peaceful and quiet surrounding. Its a nature lovers paradise.

There are number of activities you can do here including nature trails, swimming pool, karaoke, indoor and outdoor games, bonfire, star gazing. You can also ask resort staff to arrange other paid activities like jungle safari or sightseeing.

If you are looking for a quiet time, this is the best place to be. If you want to be in a place where you want to have a city like fun with lots of options and modern fun places, then skip it so you can have fun at a place of your liking and those who want to enjoy quiet time amidst nature can enjoy it here.

Very pleasant stay. Housekeeping staff specially Tukaram is very friendly and helpful. Resort is very very clean and scenic. On the other hand, reception & kitchen services can be improved. These folks treat you like robot. They have no suggestion or advice for the local visit or food. One imp feedback is that room should have wifi services. Overall while leaving, you will think of coming again and again.

This was the first time we visited this place. The ambience if very good in the midst of nature and is a good getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life.

I was travelling with my wife, my daughter who is just 19 months old and my wife's mother who is a senior citizen. A few observations and which should not be taken as negative feedback:

1. It is very inconvenient for old folks to walk up and down to and from the restaurant from the cottages down below.it makes not sense to keep moving ones vehicle up and down. Please make some arrangement for this. Is took up a lot of my time when I just intended to relax and not keep driving up and down inside the property.

2. Please arrange high chairs for toddlers since there are a lot of families travelling with small children who cannot be seated comfortably in the adult chairs in the restaurant.

3. Food quality should be consistent. I had ordered prawns and it was not cleaned properly. Everyone knows what happens when you serve prawns which are not cleaned properly. It might be just lack of knowledge on the part of the chef or just an assumption that it would not matter. Its actually very bad for the gut to have uncleaned sea food, especially prawns.

4. I know that you have a bigger parking lot down below. However, if you are allowing vehicles up to the resort, please do something about the muddy and dusty approach road.the current one is quite horrible with big stone and rocks lying around. Forest Escapes cant be an excuse for not at least having a decent approach road. This property is operating for a number of years now.

5. Your staff is very polite and courteous. Always ready to help. Please spend some effort in training them. This will make a big difference.

I had more to say but I have covered the most important points. I had a great experience but expected better.

Location is very good.

But.

Cost for the pool villas is too high. Villas luxury is not upto the mark and service is so bad. Except sweeming pool everything is paid there. It feels like you just came there to live in a room and for eating.

There is no arrangement from the management in a plan by which you can have some enjoyment, if you want to enjoy then you will have to pay for it separately.

There is one thing which is free of cost that the nature trail and it is nothing but the walk on one of the local road which reaches to the village i.e. Nothing much enjoyable you just have to walk walk and walk and come return

Waste of money. Please don't waste you money.

Staying in Maharashtra but never got a chance to visit the famous Koyna Dam. So this weekend we searched for places and decided to visit koyna dam.
When searched for hotels, we found this wonderful resort.
Of course we checked reviews and all and to our surprise the property was really good. Well maintained property, welcoming and helpful Staff, decent sized clean rooms, a lot of in-property activities.
The moment you enter the property you get that vibe, the good wala vibe and this property was very welcoming and well maintained. Quite and calm, Away from hustle bustle of the big city.
Restaurant was decent, ample food variety available.
Would definitely love to visit again.
Overall a wonderful stay.

Nice location, I visited here with my office colleague and have fun there great place and Room are very spacious and clean, Service is very good and best place to visit, explore forest. They also arrange some games there and have fun.

One of the best resorts in koyna. Must visit place. Good staff, well disciplined. Nature at its best.

The Food is good, their barbeque and fruit custard is one of the best. The rooms are well maintained. Overall good experience.

Great Place, nice location, rooms are spacious. As there was an event, they suggested to move to upgraded room, which was a nice gesture.

Good for long walks and forest trails. Also have option for Jungle trek, night trails etc. (some are paid, some free).

Food option was comparatively expensive (due to weekend only buffet was available)
Overall, it was a good experience, will try to visit during monsoons, if possible.

This place is different. Surrounded by greenery and forest. Plenty of bird chirping and bird watching.within the resort one can do treks and advantage is the customer service.some 190 km from Pune which is roughly 3.5 hrs of driving.amazing view with a river outside of the resort.

Nice location, service, food quality. My only suggestion would be on food side to have some variety like mutton, bhakri etc. Chicken & fish was good quality but only preparation was bit different every time & fish was same all the time. Assuming authentic Maharashtrian food, I was expecting mutton, bhakari at least once in our stay but could not get it. Overall very good experience.

A good place to stay in. Have spacious and well managed rooms. Resort has well managed gardens and other facilities.

One of the best-kept resorts with outstanding food quality. There is a variety of rooms options with all categories at their best. The location, atmosphere, and vibes are the best. And the staff is of a really helpful nature. They should upgrade their leisure activities for small children.

Forest Escape is very nice and beautiful place to spend your holidays with your family. Location and its surroundings are awesome, gives feeling like staying in the middle of the forest with all facilities. It was great time we spent there staying in neat and clean rooms, walking over the walkways within the resort surrounded by lawns along with dense forest, with clean and fresh natural air.
It's a good in all the aspects in terms of locations, surroundings, rooms, service, food quality and a very cooperative staff.

It was indeed a very good and relaxing stay. A much needed break for us. Resort is very well maintained be it its staff, surroundings or rooms. And last but very imp Food. It was amazing amazing n amazing. Overall very good property to stay in the Mother Nature.

It was a great stay at Forest Escapes.

Firstly, the experience with the staff right through reservation, check in, stay, activities and check out was exemplary. All the staff members were extremely prompt and caring and often went beyond what was the basic requirements.

Amenities were all maintained (despite COVID breaks)

The property is vast, serene and well maintained.

Food was delicious, with some choice for everyone.

The best in terms of food served. Food was superb in terms of taste, quality and service.
Cleanliness was maintained at the top level in rooms as well as in service areas.
But I must mention that I had been there during mid-week days of off season when occupancy in resort was very low.

A delightful experience. The whole site was well kept and lush green surrounded by forest. You can hear birds chirping when you wake up early. If you are lucky enough you can see wild animals nearby too. The food was lovely and the buffet had a lot of options both for the vegetarian and non vegetarian people. The staff there was very helpful and friendly. The rooms were spacious and clean. There were activities in the resort which you can enjoy right from walks and treks to archery and game room. The place is pet friendly too. Certainly worth a visit.

We were 3 couples who stayed in Forest Villa for 3 nights. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The Villa provided the right amount of privacy to us while within the Villa we had ours too since the rooms are well separated.

The rooms are well appointed and have all the amenities. The food at the Restaurant was always good, placing order in advance ensured that the food was ready to be served when we reached. We even enjoyed Barbeque one evening, which was a delight.

The morning and evening walks were very enjoyable, a variety of birds were visible and were well explained by the staff.

The location of the rooms is such that there is a requirement of walking on steep inclines and steps, those going there should be prepared for it.

The private pool is a great value addition, although the water was relatively cold, we managed to enjoy the pool for some time.

The Staff is very responsive and polite.

All in all, we had a very enjoyable stay at the Forest Escapes

Very nice and well maintained resort. Scenic views from Deluxe rooms. Approach road is quite bad as most of MH state roads are normally in bad condition. Even NH towards Satara from Pune has bad patches and there is significant damage to the roads in monsoon.

There is a place about 30 mins from the resort - Ghatmatha. You can enjoy the scenic views along with couple waterfalls (approach road, again, is in a very bad condition). Don't bother going to Koyna Dam park - there is nothing much to do there and the place is not maintained well.

Overall, Forest Escapes resort is a nice place to stay if you are looking for a quiet and peaceful location to relax.

Really quiet and peaceful resort in middle of jungle area near Koyna dam. The rooms are quite cozy and have excellent view from balcony. The amenities provided in the resort are really great. The food at the restaurant was buffet system and there was quite a lot of options to chose from. The staff are really polite and friendly and go the extra mile to provide an excellent service.

I would definitely recommend this resort to all my friends and family.

3 hr drive from pune towards satara and Koyana forest. Resort is mids of forest villages, clean and very well maintained place. All type of rooms available. Also with attached pool:) We went during rainy season it was All green there. Food is v good with महाराष्ट्रीयन and north combo but very tasty, You can try local इंद्रायणी variety rice etc.
Location of Granery is very good you can actually sit with birds and have your Food in the Middleware of jungle.

The overall experience about food, ambience and property was good. However, we had a bad experience with the hot water geyser not working and so they had to shift us to different rooms.

Trip to Forest escape was a last-minute decision on 14.08.2021 and the decision was worth every penny spent. Although some confusion with regards to facilities and services during reservation, however, no regrets as such confusions are subject to the actual climate conditions at the property.

The resort is beautiful in the laps of mother nature/mountains surrounded by green trees and it is worth every penny spent. I was really impressed with Mr Bruno who has a superb quality of convincing and ensuring customers are happy.he attended to our queries and concerns with his charismatic smile and soft tone. Other hotel staff and support staffs who are locals were welcoming and very friendly.

Food is also awesome except the fish. (i didn't like it personally)

A must-visit place. Please find out the climate conditions before visiting the place to avoid the uncertainty of certain activities, like trekking, fishing etc.

The place is best suited for people who are looking for solace and peace.

Few shortcomings which can be remedied is:

Reservation staff must clearly state the availability of actual activities depending on climate conditions and whether such activities are charged or free so that a customer can clearly make a choice before visiting.

The housekeeping staff did not provide the sleepers and toiletries despite repeated requests and in fact stated " We are trying to find them. This also needs immediate attention

Resort / place is good. Food is avarage. But worst service, manager is worst. We stayed there for three days took 6 meals, including breakfast, not a single meal was up to the mark, every time some thing was not there. We felt like school come in the time, don't seat here or there, so many rules. If you will not come in the time you will not get the food (punishment) due to the worst manager we did not enjoy fully.

The location is really good. The rooms are well maintained. Some basics like a toiletries kit, room slippers are not provided. Also at such rates it's expected. Also the food service is really really slow and also the overall staff look a bit exhausted, so missed the welcoming vibe overall.

This place is wonderful for its ambience. The rooms are spacious and clean. Internal room ambience is great too. Adding to the ambience is a great number of trees within the property. The food here is a bummer, expensive as well as not so tasty. Ours being a big group preparing and serving took time too. The main swimming pool was awesome however our private pool could have been maintained better. All in all a fun place to visit.

It was an excellent and amazing property, I planned my husband's birthday with room decoration and candle light dinner which turned to be a great surprise. Good coordinative staff especially food is awesome. Sujith is a guy who takes care of Food & Beverages-he will support in every possible way. Cheer to him!

3 were vegans among them

Tried to call room service. No response
All 3 had to go off to bed hungry. Literally the vegans had to eat a piece of chapati.
You order anything in food from the menu. The order is taken and then another guy calls you from kitchen and says the things you ordered are unavailable. Really?
We had a couple coming in late. As the 2 arrived we had a call from reception saying you will be charged extra for these two (being informed about all the 13 guests checking in)
All they want is hell lot of money but when it comes to service and coordination it sucks. Not worth the charges.a Big no for this place. Not at all recommended.

Surrounded by dense forest amidst Koyana Sanctuary, this luxury resort is a perfect place to unwind over a vacation. It offers both villas and row- house like stay facility to choose between. Villas are premium and have pools inside. There are restaurants, common pools, bar and spa. The staff is very well trained and polite. Food quality is amazing. The vegetation is properly maintained.

A beautiful resort located near Koynanagar. The resort is well maintained and spread over a large area. The deluxe rooms we stayed in were clean and spacious. The staff is local but super friendly and eager to help. Food was tasty but the service a bit slow. Overall a satisfying stay and recommended for a weekend getaway

Very nice service by superb staff members. It felt like mini-mahabeleshwar for a 1 night stay. Night was little cold and in morning could see mountains and koyna river covered with clouds. Food quality was also good. They have got nice spa option, and forest walk. Ideal for a short 1-2 nights vacation.

Roads are really bad, but once you reach, it's worth to be there.

Good place to relax. Food quality good. Service at restaurant slightly slow. Expect 40 minutes of serving time. Cars can't be taken at far off villas. For aged visitors, book rooms nearer to reception.

Best forest getaway near Pune. Brilliant food, activities and staff. Enjoyed thoroughly. Highly recommended for anyone who is looking to escape away from the noisy polluted cities to peaceful fresh forests.

A decent place to spend couple of days from city hustle and bustle. Property is quite huge and well maintained considering the location, however driving up to resort taking approach road requires some serious driving skill. Food quality is below overage and extremely expensive. Breakfast buffet is limited. Staffs are untrained and almost incommunicable. If you are a fan of lush green surrounding this resort can be an option.

This resort is a bit of heaven at the end of a rocky ride. Perched half way up a hill, and with a heartfelt commitment to respect for nature and local flora and fauna, it gives the visitor an authentic experience of Koyna. If you like trekking in the Western Ghats, and also relaxing in a spa, you would enjoy a few nights stay here. The warm and gentle hospitality is refreshing.

One of the best place to visit during rainy days in Satara district. One can enjoy family trip, corporate trip or honeymoon as well.
HOW TO GET THERE: From Pune, it is located around 190 kms apart. It is well connected by road. Nearest place is Patan.
WHAT TO SEE: You can find many things here. Trekking, night safari, bird watching. Each Villa has swimming pool. Infinity pool and baby pool is also available.
Ozarde water fall which is the biggest waterfall in Kokan region is located around 10kms.
In rainy season, one must carry umbrella or rain coat, pair of shorts and clothes, sport shoes, warm clothes.

I visited the resort along with my family between 1st to 3rd June 2019. The last 30 kms while travelling from Mumbai is complete horror show with the road under construction. However it should get done by next 3 months. The resort is a beautiful property right on the bank's of the Koyna. The upkeep is good and the resort is trying to expand. <br/>Pros: <br/>1. Beautiful property<br/>2. Very good location<br/>3. Maintenance is good<br/>4. People are helpful<br/>5. Value for money<br/>6. The drinking water from Koyna (after RO treatment) is awesome in taste. <br/>Cons: <br/>1. When we reached the property the same day it was going through transition with the GM having quit. There were a lot of coordination issues. It took me a little hard negotiation with the property manager Mr Rathod to get things in order. <br/>2. The kitchen can be improved. The first day we were offered ala carte from the buffet menu and the food quality was pretty ordinary. However from the next morning things settled down a bit. <br/>3. The breakfast menu can be improved quite a bit. Some artificial stuff like Tang etc is served as fruit juice. Fruits is only banana. Maharashtrian dishes like pav bhaji, misal pav, vada pav etc not in menu. Neither are stuff like salaami, sausage etc. Poha, upma / shira, idli / puri gets repeated. <br/>4. The lunch and dinner is as per a menu card where prices are high. The food is pretty oily. Food from outside is not allowed inside. <br/>5. Inside the bathroom, toiletries are restricted to 3 small bottles of shampoo, conditioner and moisturizer (Not even replaced everyday). No dental kit, shaving kit or even hand wash soap is provided. The soap dispenser in bath area can be used for hand wash. <br/>6. The area is in network shadow with only idea / vodafone having some connectivity. The resort also doesn't have any wifi. This might be a problem for some but we enjoyed our "me" time amongst nature at its serene best. <br/>Overall I feel the resort is an excellent choice for a short trip to be with beautiful nature and birds. The owners can however make some quick and small efforts to make the stay even more satisfactory for travellers.

Fantastic place for couples / families. It's exactly as the website describes: remote, serene, out of the way, and peaceful.
There is little to no phone connectivity and no WiFi, so it's also a fabulous way to get off the grid and unwind.
Besides the location, the amenities are great, with the rooms well maintained. The pool however could use some cleaning.
The local food offered I'm the restaurant is fantastic. The mutton rassa and sabudana vada are two must haves.

3.5 actually. I visited this place about 2 days ago. I took a deluxe room and stayed for 3 nights.
Good rooms but as we came there was a power cut and AC was off due to short circuit
This was a HUGE problem as we drove 400 km and wanted rest.
Eventually power was back but it's still took a lot of time the other guests criticized the hotel for its bad service during the power cut. But I wouldn't actually blame the hotel as their general manager allegedly left the job so it is in a dicy condition.

Swimming pool is there infinity pool but no view
Always go for deluxe room as it is best value for money and also has pool view.
Food is TOO expensive and not completely worth. I also had stomach problems due to it
But some people might not have it.
Over all after the criticism manager got scared for bad rating and behaved TOO good with us.
Manager is a good guy and behaves well.
I will suggest this place if you don't mind spending for food.
Outside food might be bad so don't take risk. Scenic beauty is very good.
Also must go for fishing and archery 1000 rs cost but worth it. Go for jungle safari almost rs 4000 but animal seeing is based on luck.
Can explore jungle though.

Very nice luxurious resort in Koynanagar. Took Deluxe room which was on the first floor.
Pretty good view of scenery and landscapes visible from different locations inside the resort including the room.  
Saw beautiful sunset and many windmills running in the far.
Stayed in Suit rooms, Rooms were neat and clean. Experienced calmness and felt closer to nature.
There are many indoor game and also a swimming pool which one can enjoy. Food was good but they can improve it.
The only problem we faced was the connectivity from the main road to the resort (cutting a point for this).  
Overall delightful and pleasing experience. Highly recommend staying at Forest escape especially with group.

Note: Visited in June but recommend visiting during or after raining season.
