I would like to say that Mosselbay & GRGL stay was the best of all. The staff, food, room everything was very good. I would definitely like to mention about Mrs. Jagruti our tour manager, Mr. Rajeshbhai, Mr. Manishbhai, Mr. Sundarbhai head chef & our driver cum guide Mr. Deaven. They all went out of there way to make us comfortable and was an excellent guide throughout the trip. Thank you once again, Will miss South Africa. My experience with Gem Tours to Leh Ladakh in July 2023, was the worst tour of my life. They lack communication skills and changed the itinerary based on the tour manager's convenience.
We had customised private trip and had specifically requested Jain meals, but they did not inform in any hotel bookings. We had to literally request everywhere for cooking jain meal and wasted a lot of time waiting for it. Even after informing them to rectify it on the first day, they took no care of it.

A whole day was wasted in leisure inspite of telling our trip manager we donot need rest day and that car with driver will be needed for the places we added since we had kept two extra days for visiting those places. The trip manager confirmed the same but failed to stay on his words later. Not only we wasted the day but those places were not covered and he asked us to pay additional driver and car expense if we want to go there. On showing them screenshots of their confirmation they not only refuse to accept but were unapologetic about their mistake. Later they did not pick up calls and ignored our messages.

If you plan to travel with Gem Tours, I highly recommend confirming the final itinerary multiple times and scrutinizing every detail mentioned in it.

To know all customers that on behalf of my client Atul Rasiklal Bohra, as per his instruction I filed Consumer Complaint before Consumer Commission at Central Mumbai, vide Case No. CC/18/79, against Gems Tours and Travels, found gulty of Negligence, discripency in service and unfaire trade practice, directed them to pay compensation of Rs. 80,235/- plus, 10,000/- for mental harrassment and litigation expenses of Rs. 5,000/- totaling to Rs. 95,235/- with interest thereon @ 9 % per annum from the date of 20/05/2016 till making entire payment. Dispte of service of Commission Notice and Order, they did not bothered to pay, hence prefereing execution proceeding for attachment of their properties.

I travel with Gem tour for last 25 years. I am more than satisfied with the service rendered by them I never had single complain about the tour, Food, room, and sight seeing. Tour leader is really taking special care for everybody including me. I recommend to everybody that at least once you go with Gem Tour you will not travel with any other your that is for sure. This is only complete vegetarian tour company in the world

We are very much impressed by GEM Travel & tour. Only GEM can organize this kind of tour. Coordination of seeing sites were perfect. We will be taking more tours with the GEM. Northern lights was the best part of the tour.

Visited South Africa tour by gems but not satisfied at all.had very bad experience from ticket booking. Did not booked wheel chair for us so we had very bad experience at every airport. And we did not get veg lunch in flight due to mistake of gems tour in form filling. Had very hard time.during flight journey. We did not get one night stey in safari as per their programme and at cap Town there was no gems tour guide or any person who can guide us. We were at our own. We felt like nobody was there for us from gem. They did not took care of us @ Cape Town.

Either waste your money with Gem tours or go with a standard tour.

Gem tours:
1. Changed our overnight stays in 4 different places (as mentioned in itinerary) in switzerland to just 1 place without any notice to people who had already paid money. We stayed for 7 nights in same hotel, for which we had to travel long distances every day to return to the hotel every night. The to and fro included a lot of unnecessary travel daily.
2. Rude staff tone during booking period.
3. Kept telling us to book Paris Disneyland tickets from counter itself on the day of the visit whereas Disneyland Paris doesn't have any counter booking! All bookings are online and need to be done well in advance which sadly none of the gem tour co-ordinators knew! What a shame to be calling themselves tour operators! (We had to return from the gates of Paris Disneyland just because of their mistake and them not keeping updated with information despite being tour operators).
4. Ill-managed tour with almost zero guidance whatsoever.
5. Lot of travel with lesser sightseeing time on few days.
6. They try to provide packed lunch every single day in the afternoon just to save few pennies!

Over-all, a big NO, unless they now co-operate to resolve my issues, which from my experience I'm highly skeptical about!

We recently took a trip to bali with gen tours. We were a grp of 22 ppl. Amazing food served to us all 8 days. Breakfast lunch high tea ans dinner. 15 ppl of us are pure jain. Its really remarkable that they provided such a tasty jain food with such a delicious spread. I strongly recommend gem for bali tour. There is no other tour operator there who provides jain food with maharaj. The variety and spread of food was too good. Over all dhruvin the tour manager and suresh maharaj did a fabolous job. I would rate this trip as 11 out of 10. Gem tours Thanks a lot such a memorable trip.

I have gone to south africa with gem tours and travels india. Everything was marvelous and loved their hospitality. Would suggest to choose world class itinerary to explore the best locations.

Enjoyed Swiss Paris with Gem Tours with amazing services, best hotels, best inclusions, yet very reasonable rates. Of anyone wishes to Travel as one family bonding, there is nothing like Gem Tours.

We had a great privilege to have met Darshan Doshi of Gem Tours, unplanned and unexpected! It seemed like God-sent help. Darshan was v helpful in giving us tips on making our travel in South Africa safe, memorable, and very very joyous. Having dosas at the Hotel Spa was a great topping on the overall experience, as most of us from US/Canada are vegetarians. Would highly recommend the company and would travel with his Company next time as well.

I haven’t seen such homely feeling in any of my tour still far. Gem tour is the best to have freedom of luxurious food.

We were group of 10 people and had met Darshini Doshi, briefly when we landed in Johannesburg, South Africa. He mentioned us that he has a company called Gem Tours and have a location in Mossel Bay, South Africa. He invited us to go and visit him I at Mossel Bay, which was a little out of our way to Cape Town on the Garden route. However, we took upon his invite and went to see him. His location was awesome, right on the beach! His hospitality had no boundaries! He had arranged a yummy brunch (hot masala Dhosha), Indian masala tea etc.we will definitely use his service if and when we plan another holidays!

We were on our way to Capetown from George and invited by Darshan at his Restaurant in a town Mossel Bay. He and his staff were very courteous and friendly. We were 10 of his and his generosity was unparalleled serving hot food Masala Dosa and masala tea better than anywhere I have had elsewhere. Not only did he not charge us for the delicious meal but thanked us for his generosity. In this day and age it would be hard to find someone like him. I would strongly recommend Gem tours to anyone who intends to go places where they offer tours.

We took south Africa tour this may, everything was simply perfect, food, accommodation, transportation, tour guide all were excellent. Our family of 4 had an excellent time and we are looking forwad to take another tour with gem travels next year. Special thanks to bhavya doshi for making this happen. Would highly recommend gem tours to family and friends. Special mention should be made for Sundar and remaining chef team for providing delicious meals as we are pure vegetarian. Highly satisfying experience

South Africa been a wonderful trip…. Probably unforgettable… must admit all was perfect and lucky all the group members were very supportive and easily mixed with everyone…. I had booked my tour to south africa.the garden route with gems in the month of June with my friends and family. We landed in cape town and than we were taken care with their efficient Mr Amit jain.he handled and managed our group wonderfully taking care of every individual need of every client.
Our tour had our wonderful guide. Mr Joel.who made our journey very informative and as well made us happy with his exemplary humorous trait.too good.
I had heard gems is wonderful with food.and I was not assured with beautiful menu every day.
They really took care of every small need, either with our demands to watch the ostriches or just to enjoy the shopping.
A truly blissful and wonderful trip to remember.taking mystical memories.

First time planned with Gem tour and travels and got amazing experience with them. Thanks a lot to Puja, for her wonderful planning, always ready to help, thanks again. Then Ajinkya at Johannesburg. He is very friendly and sincere guy. And third one was Jacques Roux. He was one of the best tour guides we have come across and been with. He was a wonderful company apart from guide and he got along well with us. He had a good sense of hospitality and courtesy. He proved to be a sincere and punctual guide and also his knowledge regarding his subject was good enough and worthy of appraisal. He was calm and mature and very polite and nice to us. Our vacation was truly memorable with him. Thanks to all Gem team.

Grand USA- we wanted a fun family trip to the USA and gem travels helped us with one.
The trip was good and fun for us as well as for the kids, they loved visiting Disney Land.
The interconnected flights delayed during the trip but that was the only thing I did not
like. Rest the food was good, the hotels were nice and the trip was well planned by the
travel agency

It was average experience with Gem. I visited to South Africa; my only concern was in Suncity when we were checking out to Mossel Bay early morning, we were given packed breakfast. We were 25 people in tour and everyone was given different hotel for stay (based on packages they choosed) but was given different breakfast based on ratings of the hotel. The top hotel 'Palace' were given juices, wafers, cheese sandwiches (with tomato), fruits etc in a big box, the one in 'Cascade' were given similar items and the one in 'Cabanas' were given only fruits and cheese sandwich in small white box. It was feeling like you people are differentiating status and class of people. When on others day you are providing same breakfast, lunch and dinner for everyone why to differentiate in Suncity when you have your own Maharaj. That was not acceptable. Felt very bad. You should not do this going onwards. And on the last day back to India our flight was late in the night 11 rest all had checked out early in the morning. You people had booked our flight we should be given hotel rooms till the time we left for airport instead check out was extended only for 2 hours. We cheked out at 1pm and we had nothing to do for 6 hours nor your bus gave us city tour which was included in the tour but we weren't given because there was president's speech but next day we were free, we should be given city tour instead we were sitting at the reception lobby for 6 hours. We were told to roam by ourself.
Would not recommend Gem to others for sure.

An absolutely amazing experience with gem. Each and every aspect of the trip was meticulously planned and smoothly executed. Smooth sailing throughout. Ticketing to transfers to hotel stays, planning daily activities.we felt we got the best of everything! Thanks gems tours and travels.

Hampi: - We thought of visiting Hampi because all our friends had been there and we couldn't wait for any more. We wanted to a relaxing and luxurious, so we taught of buying hampi Package From GEM Travels. They were great hosts and the trip was quite luxurious. We were provided with a room in hotel Orange County with the theme Evolve back. Everything was provided to us on time and our trip went very well. We will be travelling with GEM travels once again.

After 3 days of negotiations, I asked them to skip my booking as I wasn’t okay with their final price, I received a call late evening saying we are agreeing on your price as there is not much of a difference etc etc they discussed everything about the payment even next morning they called for confirmation and for asking when will you do the payment, then in the noon I received a call saying our boss is not okay with your price we will give you final price which we had given and didn’t even bother to say sorry

We are traveling with Gem tours since last 15 years and always got the best service and hospitality as the name only says everything Gem is Gem

Donot opt! Used to have a good name, not so much anymore. Went for South Africa, The buses smelled of pee for 13days we travelled. We complained and got a response saying “ this is how it is”.
They ran out of food for 2 days.
When it says “ Evening for leisure in the brochure, it means “ we will make you travel all day, waste time checking you in, and you’re free after dinner”.
Couples Trip, had kids running all over the place.
Food - Every day Poha in the morning, 4 days of Pav bhaji and Tava pulav
Stay - Squeezed 4 newly weds in one villa. Lol.
Travel - Buses stinked all day of pee and stale food
Hotels - Promised something, given other hotels when reached
Cheetah Encounter - Cheetah doesnot interact, it sleeps.

Had a very bad experience with Gem tours. The staff of Gem tours are very rude and liers.i will never suggest any 1 for this tour.very bad.

Worst tour operators. We opted for South Africa tour. Normally we travel on our own, since it was South Africa our family insisted us to go via tour for safety. Opting for Gem travel was the worst decision ever.
1) bus was never cleaned and always smelly
2) shortage of food for two days
3) lodge was provided in name of Villa consisting 4 other couples in one villa (lodge)
4) tour manager always had a lie or an excuse to hide the problem
5) bus had a breakdown but there was no back up plan, tour managers were thinking on cost instead of safety of people.
They run their travel agency on name of Jain food. So if you want travel around the world I would suggest either travel by yourself or opt for other professionals travel agency but not Gem.

Should hav given it zero rating but option doesn't allow that. I had booked my tour for Mauritius on 3.12.19 paying them 100% of the fees and on promise that my hotel would get confirmed in 2 days, even after they confirmed on 6th Dec they called back on 10.12.19 saying my bookings is still not done and the hotel I had requested was now unavailable. Even after paying them full amt they wanted me to settle for a degrade substitute in same amt. If you give them similar options to wat they had booked they want to extort extra money from you and basically increase their profits. That also they do in their own style- like in my case Gem representative Mayuri started with an X amt which only kept on increasing as they keep postponing one-one day on giving reason that they haven't got official mail from Mauritius hotel and they don't want to repeat the mistake which they did earlier.
Finally on 18th Dec I got a call from some senior person name Hemant Saying that if u don't want to pay extra u can take your refund. Even on explaining him that some hotels have been sold out and rest hav become expensive due to the time which was taken by them, he was stubborn that company wouldn't pay or compromise for whatever had happened.
Finally I took a refund and booked it by my own at a cost around 50 percent higher then wat I was expecting.
They do not reply to your mails if u complain them. They are jus waste of your money and energy. Even senior executive Hemant was only for concerned for the money and didn't care for the goodwill of the company.
Horrible experience though I was referred to them by one of their client.

Pathetic service - misrepresentation of itinerary- got horrendous experience in turkey trip - cheated us while selling package they promised cappadocio hot air balloon but they never gave us that hotels are like guest house but they show 4/5 star rating on intinerary not only that 8 meals we had to eat out their cook didn’t give us good service. Disaster. We felt duped and cheated.

Our visit and stay the point Hotel at Mossil bay in South Africa was just Excellent. Best location. Tasty veg food, caring staff. Would like to visit again.

In August 2015 we have visited South Africa from gem tours and travels & enjoyed the hospitality. Tour manager & whole team of gem tours makes your imagination come true & provides bestest services to all the clients like their own family members & they have one more good thing that is that they provide chef who makes delicious food according to the age group & has multi cuisine & multi talented chef. This company takes care of the child to the aged person that if they don't like to have other cuisine than for them they provide Gujarati food in dinner which is healthy. And this is the only company which is only providing vegiterian & Jain food. And provides many good activities like spa & many more & I have been too many countries from few reputed tour company but the service of this company from booking to making your tour as memorable journey is super excellent.

Had the worst experience with this travels on my trip to South Africa. Very poorly managed tour. There was absolutely no coordination and communication (or at least so they claimed) between they on-site and in- house sales teams. They did not deliver most of the things promised on the itinerary (including provision of snacks, stay at knysna was removed without prior notice, unnecessary time waste of the client due to personal work of the tour managers, etc)
Some of the most important experiences which didn’t go well or badly planned -
1. We were planned to have a two day stay at a 5 start hotel at knysna but we didn’t get to stay there and weren’t even notified of this change. After continuously enquiring about this change, the tour manager claimed that there were some water problems at the hotel due to which this was cancelled. Even though we told them that we would adjust for this inconvenience (because we honestly didn’t believe this scam) we were still not provided with a hotel.
2. No tour manger would take any responsibility or try to address any of the complaints that we had throughout the trip.
3. Helicopter ride (part of the itinerary promised to us) was hardly for 5 mins each. Did not do any justice to what was promised.
4. Gala dinners which was promised during our booking was not present at all, food menu was repetitive throughout the trip (because none of the tour managers claimed to know abt our previous day menus). Food was mostly tasteless and
5. Our stay at mossel bay (which was to be a 5 star hotel), was the worst. There was no wifi or in house restaurant to order or eat food. For breakfast lunch and dinner we were taken to another point hotel. Food there was also below par.
6. Tour managers also exhibited unprofessional behaviour by wasting all the guests (15 of us) time by making us just wait in the bus on some random road until they were done with their personal work.

I would recommend to never travel with GEM tours and travels ever again.

Very unprofessional tour operator
He ruined my thailand trip of 65 people
1) Instead of 1 flight he gave us tickets in 5 different flights
2) He told me that he will arrange a line for visa as we have our person in immigration department (What a joke)
We all had to get in line and for the fast lines we had to pay 200 bhat extra

3) you promised me 31 double rooms and 1 triple room in single hotel and you gave me 4 superior rooms in another hotel which i and your guide jesal too and other 2 people had to stay in it and had to check out from the hotel in morning 7.30 am and these rooms were available for me 5 in the afternoon when we had to go out for sight seeing. My friends were all very angry that we were not in the same hotel.

4) you promised me that 2 Hindi speaking guides from Mumbai to Mumbai will be available but there was only 1 jesal bhai that also was not in the flight in which 50 passengers were travelling and in return he was all alone in another flight i.e I had to guide all the 50 people while travelling.
And there was 1 guide for 1 day other all 3 days there was no Hindi speaking guide bcoz of that i had to stand many times and do the duty of guide as if you are going to pay me for that and most of times no body understood what did the guide said. When i asked you before for 2 guides tickets you said that it is already done but there were no tickets of guides till last date and that also you sended only 1 guide

5) The gala dinner party was to be started with some 6 dancers and one day before you said no to me that it cannot be arranged
After that when i called you and told to make it done afterwards you told Piyush to do this
And that too I requested piyush bhai a lot of times to make it happen
6) I told you also that the parcel of biryani should be packed properly but there was no carry bag and we had to give everyone in hands.
7) you should ask jesal how many problems we had and we 3-4 people were with Jesal all the time helping him to make the trip successfully
How can you lie so much when you are working in a big firm like GEM TRAVELS

Sorry to say but your management is very bad. Bcoz of you we had to listen to many of our guests

So so disgusted with them. Twice I made an appointment to go and discuss my booking and twice after I left they told me they were not available and I had to turn back. I have WhatsApp chats as proof if this ridiculous and unprofessional behaviour. They have no respect for their clients time. Please avoid at all costs

Hopeless service. Literally pushed us into mental troma.
We had booked the air ticket to Leh with them at there office at Naman MidTown with Mr Ankit (there sales person). He had booked the tickets with some other travel agent. It was later found that there air ticket agent has cheated them and done some froud. After talking to there seniors and one of the director of the company Mr Amit Jain they kept there hands up. Now they want to once again wants to pay the airfare which is about Rs. 2,80,000. How rediculas it is. Hence we have launched a complain at Dadar Police station against GEM TOUR & TRAVELS.
You guys please be aware of before doing any booking with them.

Gem tours and travel have very good marketing team. As they offered complimentary three nights in phuket, if you book greece tour in advance! When we paid full amount, suddenly from no where they just discounted all their offers. We were highly disappointed. Even in greece, we were told to have athens city tours. Which we had not offered because of their faulty management team.after bit of respect they offers us a dummy complimentary package of jodhpur which has no purpose of going as they ask us to pay 12k per person, per day! Highly disappointing services. Request to all do not attract by their promotional scheme. They are not trustworthy! Just one question to their team, is this your ethics to deal with your client? That once you get money, you just discontinue with your agreement or clause?
