Ambience and service is brilliant, you get a nice night view from the 18th floor. Food however is just average, not worth the price at all. Good quality but taste-wise it's just decent. Visit for the vibe and view only.
Kangan is on the 18th floor and has a stunning view of the expressway. Not just that, the ambiance is cozy, candle lit, warm and elegant.
The food here is outstanding. If you love Mughlai and North Indian, then you must visit them.
They have recently launched a new menu and the dishes are excellent.
We tried the set menu which had Tamatar Tulsi Shorba Appetizer platter which had Bhune Masaley Ka Paneer Tikka, Tohfa-e-Zamin, Bhatti Ke Badami Aloo and Moong Dal Bhari Tikki. Everything was delicious. Our favourite was the paneer.
For Mains we had Kangan Masaley Ka Paneer, Diwani Handi, Purvanchal Ka Saag, Lucknowi Dum Aloo, Dal Kangan and Lucknowi Subz Dum Biryani. We loved the dum aloo, saag, dal, biryani and everything else.
Dessert was gulab jamun and kulfi.so good!
Besides this we tried the paneer lababdaar and whole-wheat Rumali.it was fantastic.
Overall a fantastic meal and definitely going back to try the new menu.
Kangan is set overlooking the skyline of Mumbai. Ambience is nice & food is awesome However the food is overly priced but the service is really superb!

I recently visited Kangan, a Full of Indian Cuisine restaurant in Goregaon Mumbai, and had an absolutely amazing experience! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm welcome and excellent service throughout our meal. This place had a cozy and inviting atmosphere, with a tasteful décor that complemented the delicious food. The menu offered a wide range of vegetarian dishes, from traditional Indian fare to modern fusion cuisine. One thing that really stood out to me was the freshness and quality of the ingredients. You could tell that the chefs took great care in selecting the best produce and spices, and it really made a difference in the taste of the dishes. The portions were generous, and we ended up taking some leftovers home with us. The prices were also reasonable, especially considering the high quality of the food and service. Good for spending time with family, friends in a luxe setting. They have best Indian flavours food. The food suggested by the Mr. Bhavesh Kadam was very delicious. Flavourful food, excellent service and decent ambience. Must visit
Enjoyed the dinner- especially the black daal. The best u ever had! The actual kangans/ bangles made and gifted to the female diners- was a cherry on the cake. Also your outstanding and attentive service- especially from your staff named pravin! Keep up the good work!
Beautiful ambience but more than that lovely veg food, side table, candle light and appreciable service. We gave orders at last minute but still we got what we want
I am rejoicing. Thoroughly thrilled and coveted Fine Dine Experience. Every bite will exemplify your delicacies ordered amidst shimmering ambiance. That satisfaction is what is needed. This is exuberant as well as delicious. I beat up the rain, didn't have two way in my mind and immediately I decided to step in at this gorgeous restaurant. Review follows
Kangan, which is a rustic Indian restaurant serving North - West region, sprawls 18th floor of gleaming The Westin Mumbai Garden City @thewestinmumbai which is opposite of Western Express Highway. Dim light ambiance, you call it a candle light dinner. I was lucky to get a place nearby window showcasing beautiful highway. They serve alcohols too. Kangan introduced new menu all are chefs special. I tasted everything. I am confused which one is the best. Prepared with utmost precision, freshest vegetables, exotic ingredients, accurate spices, justified whatever you ordered. Everything served hot and cooked with finest ingredients. Delicate, sweet and sour Dahi ke kebab along with Paneer Teh pe Teh very much stuffing. Flavor of ghee in Dal Kangan which is inhouse signature dish. Must order. If you like crisp then ask for Chura Chura Paratha. Gucchi Pulao is a delicacy from Himachal Pradesh. Not spicy but healthy and aromatic from Basmati rice. In desserts I had Gheever which was outstanding. You can ask Gulabjam too which is stuffed in dry fruits and cardamom along with rose essence in syrup. Below was the spread - *Appetizer* Dahi ke kabab - m Kathal ke shami Zameen e tofa - Paneer teh pe teh *Soup* Kabuli Satvar ka shorba *Main courses* Nashpati aur Haldi ke subji Kangan masaley ka paneer Lucknowi dum aloo Dal Kangan Gucchi pulao *Signature breads* Taftan Chura chura paratha Amritsari kulcha *Desserts* Ghevar Balai ka tukda Bharwan Gulab jamun I had a deep conversation with chef which was wonderful meeting. Culinary knowledge that skills are remarkable. Kangan in my choice is certainly considered as one of the best Fine Dine Experience amidst calm and cozy ambiance and ever pleasing hospitality offering mouth watering delicacies. #thewestinmumbai #kangan #kangannewmenu
My husband and I went to kangan restaurant yesterday evening with our family for celebrating our wedding anniversary. I was quite disappointed by the place The ambience is good, the staff is polite, the food is good but the service is bad. We were served the starters but by the time we got the chutney the starters were cold. We had to keep repeating what we needed. During the main course the rotis were served but the daal was served much later as bowls had to be brought. This kind of service is not expected from a five star hotel. Overall a disappointing experience.
Amazing place for a family dinner. Great ambience and very polite staff. If you are planning to visit on weekends, then better to reserve table in advance. Ravindra was very helpful and suggested good dishes with adjustment in spice level by cook. Worth trying.
Amazing buffet spread. Awesome Ambience. Mr Suresh Bhandari must say gem person to meet and greet the client. No doubt why this restaurant is on top places in Mumbai. Whether it's a family meet or dinner date or treat to child.it's one of kind to be.
We celebrated our wedding anniversary in the best way thanks to Kangan. Amazing food with great options to choose from. We opted for the set menu and were blown away by the flavour packed in the food. Was such a great experience enjoying fine dining
It was really a very good experience. Very good taste, awesome ambience and very polite and helpful service staff. The chef himself came to inquir about food.
When it comes to Western Suburbs of Mumbai, there are very few resturants where you can take your partner for a date. Kangan is Undoubtedly the best restaurant and a Perfect place to celebrate. Very quite, dark and lovely atmosphere.
Kangan Masaley ka paneer and Dal Kangan is a must try dish.
They have people who make live lac bangles. Overall a must visit place.
Kangan is located in Westin hotel in goregaon it's a 4* star restaurant. The view is amazing from this restaurant. Don't visit the place without booking the table belive me you have to wait a lot. They got good varieties in food menu. The food was great service is nice. Being high profile restaurant price are bit high. Staff is polite overall great experience.
Best Indian restaurant by far. I am a Westin member myself. The staff r cordial. Chef Danish is an amazing chef. Very pleasant experience every time. Very very impressed.
The food was delicious and the hospitality amazing. Totally loved the way they handled our requests and the service they provided us. Mr Ashish and his team is doing a great job.
Do try Bhuney Masale ka Paneer Tikka starter and Shakahari Kofte sabji. Sabji had kofta made of dried plums and apples and they taste amazing. Gravy can be made according to your taste.
Couldn't try more as we weren't too hungry. The tables with view are amazing.
Slowest service ever seen on any table. In 2 hours chef was able to provide for a group of 6 following 1 prawn 1 lamb shank 1 piece of chicken Lots of gravy without bread
Everything from the food to the ambience to the spectacular view of the city was perfect. The chicken biryani is a must try. The only thing which can be improved are the spread of deserts. But overall it is a great experience and will surely visit again.
Kangan has a beautiful ambience. The menu is good. Staff is very courteous. But the food taste and quantity is not excellent like before. The taste of food made me visit again but it was not up to the mark like previous times.
Kangan is excellent ambience, quite expensive. Visited 3 to 4 times there but lately their flavor of food is missing, not so great taste. They need to improve their flavor of food. Missi rotti and railway chicken curry is worth ti taste.
The food was great, worth a visit. But there have been some parts of misunderstandings, which made it difficult. At the end, they complained about the Tip. No-go.
Had a dinner here. Mr Abhishek Vats was my server and he did all that keep it well. Food was nice. Starter was one of the best. Will visit again for sure.
Had been to this place with my love on her Birthday. We ordered unlimited option in set menu. It starts with healthy soup, 4 different types of starters which were mouth licking and the 4 types of sabji alongwith assorted breads. The best of this was Kangan Special Daal Makhni and rice loaded with Full for. Pure Ghee. Best place to enjoy with your family and friends.
Very warm service people who take care of you r excellent and treat you like a delicacy. The food was good and just not gr8 fantastic takes on it. You can get a very aerial view of the suburban fare like marine drive our w e highway swirling down from kandivili towards andheri from the 18th floor thats one plus. You are accompanied by family crowd u get jain food. You can zip vertically in just a min to 28 floors but food yet i need to think about it. The spiciest chicken bageti was sweet and i prayed my dessert gulab jamun shouldnt be a spoiler but they managed it well. You will curse me if i recommend it. So risk it its a starwood property @.
Very good Indian food. The preparation and taste as very good. Ambience of the restaurant is also good. Overall I really liked the place. Will visit again.
We visited this place on a Saturday evening. We arrived at around 8 pm then the place was nearly empty, but when we left at around 11 the place was buzzing with people.
As we were a group of 12 people, we went for their fixed non vegetarian menu.
We tried:
Murgh Zafrani soup: I loved this soup a lot as it had a mild taste and smell of caramelized onion along with saffron. This is a must try soup.
Lehsooni jhinga: In seafood we were served this appetizer and this was the Best among the lot. I can't remember -thr number of repeats I ordered.
Mutton galawati kebab: These kebabs were really soft and had a rich smell, but the taste seemed funny for my taste buds.
Jaitooni paneer tikka: This was another nice flavorful dish in vegetarian.
Murgh jahangiri raan: This was chicken leg piece marinated in rich spices oven. I loved this one.
Coming to main course we tried a range of seafood, chicken as well as vegetarian dishes out of which I loved the Murgh Makhani a lot.
In desserts, all of them were Indian desserts like Gulab Jamun, Kulfi Falooda and Ras Malai.
Overall I enjoyed my meal, but the service was really slow.
Located on 18th Floor of Westin it has decent views of the Western express Highway and Aarey colony. Important to note that table with a view is available only for groups upto 3 people. Interiors are ok but seating is very comfortable. Food quality is exceptionally good and well prepared. The one area where the restaurant did not meet my expectations was with regards to the ambience. Staff was very polite and service was prompt.
