Good size apartment. Good size bathroom but toilet flush system is not great. Main Streets leading to Apartment is typical Mumbai Street with lots of traffic but once you are in the apartment it is very quiet and beautiful

This is the biggest hotel property in India. If you are iooking for a quite, peaceful time & sea facing view with you loved ones then Lakeside Chalet is the place. Mariott has appartments for long staying guests as well as hotel rooms for the guests who visit for short time. I am very impressed with the property. Kind & helpful staff who will offer their assistance before you could ask anyone.
This is India's largest hotel facility. If you are looking for a quiet, tranquil time with your loved ones with a view of the sea, Lakeside Chalet is the place to be. Mariott has apartments for long-term guests as well as hotel rooms for short-term visitors. The property has really pleased me. Staff who are friendly and helpful and will provide assistance before you ask anyone else.
Horrible property management service as well as customer service. 1. The hotel systems suck. They couldn't get my key issued due to technical glitches and was allowed entry to the room by the manager using his master key. They didn't send the key to the room as promised and took few follow-ups. 2. Took 3 calls to get the bill sent by email. Nobody at the property took accountability. 3. The stay credit and bonvoy points are not issued. Had to continuously follow up with the customer service on this. 4. After a couple of follow ups finally the points (miserably low - 2.5 points for 1$ billed) were credited, but it is NOT YET reflecting in the NIGHT CREDIT. The next set of follow ups are ONGOING. 5. The hotel didn't credit the 1500 points bonus per stay as per the promotion package. The follow-ups have just begun.
Overall, the apartments were comfortable and stay was good. But the building entrance and common lobby don't have the appeal of premier hotel, but the charges are similar to The Westin which us next door. The amount charged doesn't justify the benefits offered and the worst Marriott experience among my 100+ nights so far at various Marriott properties.
I wouldn't highly recommend the place for the premium they are charging in the brand name of Marriott and the customer service is not up to the mark of Marriott brand anyways.
Stunning property and overall great facilities. The service at the restaurant can get patchy, sometimes great, other times, a bit abysmal.overall good experience. The play area for toddlers is a delight!
We waited 2 hours for check-in and was finally allocated a room at 5 pm. Checked out 9pm the same night!
We settled in the room. Used the toilet and tried to flush - no water!
Later we heard the cistern filling up, we flushed. Lo behold - sewage water backed up!
This is the manager on duty told us this was the situation for the entire hotel and they had fixed it earlier in the day.
We called for the matter to be looked into and went off for dinner. Upon our return 2 hours later, we find the issue not resolved.b) We had enquired with Front Office during dinner and was told the matter was resolved. We enquired twice. We were assured all was cleaned up.
We go up to our room and find sewage backing up again.
We call for assistance, twice, within a space of 20 minutes.
Three people turn up.an engineer, his supervisor and the duty manager (in the pic) to stand in the bathroom and flush the toilet several times.
They chat amongst themselves and turn to us and tell us all is fixed.
We were not convinced since the matter was not resolved in a two hour time frame earlier.
We asked the duty manager for a resolution and his reply was ‘Madam, I am sorry but I can not do anything as the issue is fixed now. ’
We then asked to speak to a senior manager and was told that none of the senior managers were available.
Again, we asked for a resolution as we did not want to stay with a four year old in such unhygienic conditions. We asked to be moved to the Renaissance.
The manager in the pic said he can not do anything about it.
We then said we don’t want to stay under such conditions and told him to prepare our bill as we were going to check out.
We packed our bags and checked out at 9 pm. We called the Westin and arranged a room.
The next day we met Puneet Goswami at the Westin, who heard us out. He then called the Director of Rooms at the Lakeside Chalet and told us to expect a call from them.
Today is the 3rd day. No call.
The infuriating thing is that the management at Lakeside Chalet knew about the system backing up and chose to check-in guests.
They also know that this constitutes a major health hazard and yet chose to subject people to such distressing and illegal situation.
Everything is good and in well manager but, I found one thing that they needs to thing on that. Thay is they have to followup status from the guest after their issue staus and solve or not.
Five star hotel in powai. Good quality construction, high power security, parking and separate petrol pump available. Exotic life enjoying in this hotel
During my 6 month stay in Mumbai, I was living at the Marriott. For me it was an excellent choice because of several reasons. - You are able to escape from the crowded and loud Mumbai city life, as there is lot of greenery, the Powai lake and it is pretty far from the main road. - Staff is very friendly. - There are a lot of things you can do in your spare time like going to the pool (either at the Marriott or the Renaissance), playing tennis (they have their own tennis court with a coach), going to the gym or using the steam bath. - They offer free dinner and drinks once a month for people who are staying there for a longer time period in order to get to know each other. - They have a wide selection of food for breakfast, for example they have a live counter for egg dishes, fresh fruit juices and you can order Indian dishes or sweet dishes. You are even allowed to take whatever you want for takaway. - Cleanliness was okay. Sometimes it was a bit dusty or smudgy. For Indian standards it was good though! - The bed is unbelievably comfortable!
Great room and facilities. Staff is top notch and the property is located in a very peaceful place, next to Powai lake.making for a nice short staycation or a longer stay. The room is large and can be used as an apartment as it has a kitchenette along with it. Although the food is costly, it doesn't dissapoint and room service was quick, even late at night. All in all a great stay. I would come back again and recommend this place. The other benefit is the use of the renaissance pool.
Extremely polite staff, very clean and maintained rooms. Excellent service. Very comfortable and most of all, not very expensive... Could have given 5 stars if breakfast would have some variations across days. Spread largely remains same everyday.
