NEVER VISIT THIS PLACE ON A PUBLIC HOLIDAY. IT'S SHUT The place is good but staff is very rude especially the nursery staff, they're absolutely disinterested. They do not cooperate at all. They never pick up the call.visited this place after travelling for 2 hours and we weren't allowed to visit since it was public holiday, totally disappointed.
Alright! So here's N honest opinion about their nursery YES! You get saplings at a very cheap rate and YES! They have variety too, but, they aren't taken care off. Most of the plants are either dying or almost eaten by the insects/pets! So, if you're here to get yourself a plant babe, choose wisely!
It has a very beautiful, calming, and relaxing environment. There are Various Species of Plants and Butterflies. Has a very calming flora and fauna. It has a walk trail throughout the park surrounded by Trees.
Must visit this jungle within the city. It is well preserved Park to visit with your family. You also must visit Dharavi to explore the City within Mumbai City. You will be amazed after meeting people, listen to their struggles and you will surely learn from their life stories.
It was good but in the natural trail there is no place to sit so please make them i wanted to explore everything but My legs started paining there was no place for rest in natural trail.
Acres of nature right in the middle of Bombay city. Take a break, walk in nature, enjoy the various shades of green all around you, watch butterflies dancing around and birds singing. Sometimes you might have to avoid seeing the mithi river and it's pollution, but otherwise it is full 5 stars for nature lovers. And you can also buy some plants to take back for your small home garden.
Update: post pandemic, events have started. Registered mobile numbers will also get updates via WhatsApp about events and happenings
Various varieties of species available. Flowering plants, ayurvedic plants, spices plants, everything. Huge area covered with small saplings. Everything here ranges from ₹5 to ₹20-30 max. Nice experience. Only problem is no one guides you here to the plant you want. You'll be tired searching for it
Nature in the urban concrete jungle with lots of knowledge regarding plants with bird watching if u r keen to do, lastly the add-ons is saplings provided of plants flowers as needed at minimum cost
Good place in Mumbai to see nature especially butterflies and other insects. Nowadays they are charging ₹20 as entry fees and ₹100 for camera. Nakshatra Garden is well maintained and you will get to see a lots of plant variety. One can easily reach here by Sion Railway Station.
Very beautiful place and quite well maintained. A pure green patch right in the middle of the city. Birds, Butterflies, Flowers etc. Everything beautiful is present there.
It's a wonderful place just next to BKC, a superb place to refresh your lungs with good fresh air, you get a feel of the jungle right in the heart of Bandra Kurla vicinity
Today we went to Maharashtra nature park. It was a beautiful experience. There are so many things to see, learn and enjoy. Variety of trees which have been named, flowering trees, butterflies and many birds like eagle, kites, coppersmith barbet, koel, parakeet and in a small pond we could see Greater cormorant, cattle egret and in the creek we could see black winged stilt, Godwit, black headed gulls, sandpiper and many more. The lotus pond was really beautiful The staff at the centre was very courteous, nice & cooperative. They were well informed. Plants for sale are available. Timings: 8.30 to 3.30 pm Closed on public holidays. There is a car parking at gate no. 3 And tickets ₹ 20/ per person and ₹30/ for the car. Overall wonderful experience. Must visit with kids.
What is there to watch. Main attraction is lot of variety of Butterflies. Take camera with you and you will forget time. There is little pond, where you will see turtle, snakes. Be aware of snakes freely roaming in the area. Wear full ankle shoes and watch your steps. A small trail. This place is located near Bandra creek, so you can watch lot of waders, but you have bear smell. Do not go far way, as lot of druggist will be there in remote part.
How to Go: you can get down at Sion station.it is walking distance from this station. If you going by road, it is near to Dharavi Bus Depot. There is no parking facility

What to wear: as usual wear full sleeve cloths with ankle length shoes.
Mahim nature park and Maharashtra nature park both are same, previously it was stated as Mahim nature park. Visit in my reviews section, I have explained in detail about Maharashtra nature park with images and videos.
It is a good park in the midst of Mumbai (in Mahim/Kurla) and it is highly appreciable that waste land/ land fill has been converted into a nature garden. Entry fees of Rs 20 is ok. However, you can't sit and relax there. There are no benches etc for that- it seems snake problem has forced them to take this decision. It needs to be made more user friendly with more information.
It's a Jungle Developed on waste Dumping Ground Some 40 years s back on about more than 30 acres of Land by Government of Maharashtra. Which is a unique Use of Land in a City where Land cost is Among the Highest top 10 Cities in the world
Its a hideout a place which is in Mumbai, but takes you in another world of peace, its placed in the most crowded area but a forest can be as peaceful as this
I visited the nursery here to buy some plants. Its a govt place and dont expect customer friendly place. But one this I recommend is price of the plants. I couldn't believe that you can still buy plants at 5 rs. I bout as many as 20 plays and bill was 160 rs. Take some pain and have very cheap plants and of good quality.
A great experience with nature must visit for kids, great variety of plant and birds to be seen here, thanks Maharashtra Gov this place still reserved for nature
A nature park or natural park is a designation for a protected landscape by means of long-term planning, sustainable use and agriculture. These valuable #landscapes are preserved in their present state and promoted for #tourism purposes.
In most countries nature parks are subject to #legally regulated #protection, which is part of their conservation laws.
In terms of level of protection a category "Nature Park" is not the same as a "#National_Park", which is defined by the #IUCN and its #World_Commission_on_Protected_Areas as a category II type of #protected_area. A "Nature Park" designation, depending on local specifics, falls between #category_III and #categoryVI according to #IUCN_categorization, in most cases closer to category VI. However some nature parks have later been turned into national parks.
I'm a veggy and had not many options so the food was not that great but the staff was super friendly and nice so that's why I think this place is worth at least 4 stars. But I'm sure it's a good place for non vegetarians
Transformed from a dumping ground into a thriving hub of Biodiversity, the Maharashtra Nature Park is a must visit man-made forest for any nature or environment enthusiast. Be it the variety of plant and tree species or the abundance of different fauna including reptiles, amphibians, insects, birds and so on, this park has something for everyone. Visit it this monsoon when it's at it's liveliest and greenest phase.
A little less known park beside one of the worst places in the country, this place is a must see if you love butterflies. Also there are regular guided tours depending on the crowd. The collection of flora isn't much. But it's good. The nature trail is an ideal recluse in this constantly humming city. 20 Rs is the entrance fee, which is pretty reasonable. Although it only stays open until 3 in afternoon.
U can get herbal plant.such like pattharchatta etc.its a government park.its very beautiful and money efficient.if u need some plant or herb.go and check this out.
Tucked away in the middle of the bustling city, Maharashtra Nature Park is a nature reserve that most Mumbai residents haven't even heard of.
It's obviously not even a fraction the size of Sanjay Gandhi National Park, but it has its own cozy charm to it. The park is rich in insect and bird life, and because of its diminutive size, all of it is up close and personal. The park has several walking trails - one that runs parallel to Sion Bandra Link Road, another that runs along the Mithi river, and a few others within the park. There's even a small pond within, where you'll inevitably get to see a myriad of aquatic birds. Several flowering plants along the trails mean that you'll always get to see many butterflies and bees.
If you're an amateur entomologist (like me), then this place is paradise. I visit as often as I can, and so should you. Entry (as of this writing) is only Rs. 10.
