Very old restaurant.was empty and almost no customers. Ambience is outdated and sad. No upkeep at all. It was stinking. We went only because few had recommended it for Chole Bhature. We ordered the same. Bhatura is huge, but extremely oily. Even 2 large paper tissues were not enough to soak dripping oil. Taste was okay. Nothing great. Personally, I won't recommend going here.
Visited first time today. It was a good experience overall. Guys are well behaved and helpful. But comparatively costlier for an example 165 per plate chola bhatura (only 1 piece).
Havnt tried much here than chana bhatura. The bhatura will be like full plate and like a baloon. Freshly made hot served to you. The taste is awesome. Interiors havnt been changed from long. It's old style hotel.
Mona Foods has been famous for their Chole bhature since the 80s and its still a hit! Definitely a must have! They also have a variety of other Punjabi and Chinese cuisine. A really good place to visit. They have taken the Covid precautions. All the staff wears masks, gloves and shields. Sanitizer is alos provided at the entrance.
Great chana bhatura, same quality for years. Have been eating since 1970s. Only one complaint. Please change the upholstry, its so dirty and shabby that I dont feel like sitting.
Chole Bhature is the main attraction of MonaFood. Even the Veg. Biryani was good. Overall experience was good with Service, Cleanliness & food portion.
Food quality and service was great. But I was not surprised by any of its dishes. Like the chole bature its famous for didn't have an outstanding taste. I had very high expectations because of its popularity. But it's just fine. You can just have a casual lunch there. Food is just a bit over priced. Because we can get other restaurants with same flavours and dishes at lower price. You can give it a try if you are one who likes to experience new dine outs.
So we tried their chole bhature which is supposed to be their signature dish. BUT it came with only 1 bhatura! For that price only 1 bhatura? What are you guys thinking? So we were 4 ppl taking 2 plates of chole bhature. And they gave us only 2 plates: no extra empty plates. Do u guys not know customer care? And is there no refill for water? And why did everyone in the restaurant go and coop up in the kitchen? How am I supposed to order more bhaturas? Fine I'll just have these and go. You made good chola bhaturas but didn't care to even be present to take more order if any might come and didn't even care to think about basic hospitality? OK I'll give u 3 stars only for your good bhaturas but please I hope you guys can improve.
Food was tasty and quite a good quantity and decent quality. But the table cloth etc did not look so clean. They kept spoons and forks directly on the table cloth in the centre of the table: (. Overall decent place to have food
Worst experience, tasteless food, unhygenic, table cloth was dirty. Spoons and forks were lying on the table cloth. No napkeens provided. Washroom was smelling like hell. Total waste of money.
Mona food- a pure veg restaurant. I must say mona food is " The real taste of Punjab". Must try their speciality "Chana bhature", its very yummy and delicius. Even the other punjabi dishes are also awesome. About ambience, it's not very big but they have managed well so felt good. Rates are little high but quality and taste is up to the mark.
They need to do something about the interior's.and the washroom.and their chole bhature, although great are still as many miles from Delhi as Pune itself is.
Had spring rolls for starters which was properly cooked and delicious. Malai Kofta was also delicious. Just right amount of sweetness and soft. Kulcha was good. Could have been better. Ambience is ordinary, nothing fancy. Pricing is not high for the quanitity and quality they serve. Overall 4 out 5.
It's a decent place. Food is good. Pure veg. Only thing is that the interiors are a little congested. The food is very good though. It is known since 25+ years for its Channa Bhaturas and this dish is a must try. It is still very good in taste. Definitely recommended for a nice veg.lunch if you're on MG Road.
We were a party of six for dinner. On arrival we were promptly seated. Within a few minutes our orders were taken. The starters were on the table in a few minutes. The main dishes followed. We ended the dinner with kulfi. All dishes were tasty and served well by the attentive waiters. Tasty food, good service, reasonable prices and pleasant atmosphere make it an enjoyable experience.
This place has a legacy. It's been there for decades and still serves the best chole bhature. Initially, it was like a snacks centre now converted to a north Indian restaurant. Bang in the middle of MG road, it is a great place to eat after you've finished your shopping
Decent place. Only veg. Majority of the items are good. They however charge you a little more than what you would expect from a restaurant of that category.
The Place is known for its Chole bhature. Simple superb. They have nice ambiance and polite staff. Service is on a slower side due to rush. You will need to wait for your turn during peak hours Overall a good experience. Paneer chilly & chinese items are also good here. A bit costly I felt but worth a try.
Monafood has its own unique flavor with its house speciality of Channa Bhatura which is better then anywhere else - i have had as its not chole but channa. The restaurant of course serves the rest of the mughlai cusine, however the favorite is the channa bhatura.
If you get tired and hungry after shopping at MG road.the best place to have veg good is Located bang in the middle of the shopping area.it's around 60 odd years old and has managed to retain awesome quality. I will personally vouch for the Chana Baturas.they are simply yummilicious.
