Amish and Mumbai Moments gave me the extraordinary opportunity not so much to see Mumbai but rather to experience this special corner of India. What I cherished most of all was that after 40+ years of being a solo female traveler I was able to, for the first time in a very long time, let down my guard to truly feel the sense of freedom and adventure and feel completely safe and taken care of at the same time. Thank you, Amish, for your very special insights, and for your abundantly kind and generous spirit.ps: I still dream of the best Masala chai ever!

A great way to explore the Foods of Bombay like a local!
The tour took as to some great local street food places (the puri place was my favorite). I organized this as a corporate event, & everyone loved it - even our local colleague was impressed! Amish made sure everything we ate was not only amazing in taste, but also hygienic as well. We were extremely well-fed by the end of the night!

Amish, the proprietor, took us on a very special and enjoyable market tour starting at Crawford market and then going to fabric and gold markets, the Mumbai temple and for some nice Chai. Amish is an excellent guide and we felt as though we were experiencing authentic and local Mumbai.

We also toured Dharavi slum which is a fantastic experience, guided by Sagar who actually is from and lives there. Our tour included going to his family home there, as well as seeing the incredible industry and activity within Dharavi - highly recommended!

An excellent adventure for a solo woman traveller! Amish showed me the wonders of his Bombay on his scooter. He introduced me to wonderful local food! An amazing day from a highly informative, friendly guide. I will be taking another trip with Amish the next time I return!

I recently spent 7 days in Bombay. I chose Mubai Moments because of the reviews and the speed with which Amish responded to my emails. He answered all my questions and no question was too silly for him. When my plane landed, I sent hi a message to tell him I was there and he told me what time he would meet me. I did a City Tour, Scooter Tour, Slum Tour, Market Tour, Kanheri Caves, Elephanta Caves and a Night Tour. He even arranged my trips to the dentist. He is an amazing man with amazing guides. From Ravba, my Kanheri Caves guide, to Avi, my Elphanta Caves guide, to Mahesh, my Dharavi Slum Tour guide. These guides are knowledgeable, courteous funny and informed. And, if you are a woman they will not let you carry anything! Such gentlemen. Amish is at the top of his game. He loves his city, knows his city and it comes through when he is talking. From his friend who makes the very best chai to all the food stands we ate at, everybody seems to know him and he is never too busy to chat a bit with them. He even introduced me to his dogs, Lucky and Sheroo. (He knows I love dogs) and took a picture of me and Sheroo. With Amish and his team you will not be disappointed because it's not a tour ; it's a ook into his world. A world he will show you honestly and openly. Thanks again Amish. I had the time of my life.

I was on business trip here, and on the last day before departure, I called Mumbai Moments to enquire about a tour of Mumbai. Upon receiving my call, Amish efficiently put together a private tour, with all details covered. Guide Kamlesh was really good. He answered all my non-stopping questions, and was really friendly and nice. I visited lots of exciting places and tasted the yummy local food without feeling tired at all. The trip was a good balance between sightseeing / experiencing, and driving in a air-con car. Last but not the least, as a woman traveling alone, I feel safe with Mumbai Moments. When I take my family here in the future, I will definitely use them again.

Having recently got back from an amazing trip to Bombay/Mumbai we had the amazing good fortune to use Amish's Mumbai moments for 2 tours of the city, our guide on the day Kamelish was very friendly and knowledgable, and we left feeling like we'd made a friend of both he and Amish.

Both tours were absolutely fantastic (must see sights & Local markets) and we came away feeling like we really saw the real Bombay/Mumbai, but more importantly we learned a great deal about what makes the city what it is.

Believe me seeing the sights is one thing, but having someone there answering any questions you may have and explaining the history of what it is your actually looking at have makes a real difference, and great touches like a visit to a genuine street vendor for Chai tea and air conditioned car and experienced Mumbai driver (you'll understand once you visit) really just topped it off!

We (4 German couples) visited Mumbai for unfortunately only one day with our cruiseship on its way from Dubai to Singapore in December 2018.

We booked the recomended private tour "Must see & Worth see places (about 7 hours) and to my great pleasure it was Mr Amish Sheth himself who showed us around his hometown "Green Bombay". We started relaxed with a tasty chi on the street and got to see among other places of course the Gateway of India, Gandhi House, Dhobi Ghat- Open Air Laundry, Victoria Terminus Train Station, Marine Drive & the Chowpatty Beach, Hanging Gardens, Oval Ground - Cricket, fruit and vegetable markets and.and.and.so much more. Mumbai Moments managed to give us the feeling of having a private insight into Mumbai, its residents and culture and managed to stay away from the other tourist crowds. We experienced unforgettable moments, impressions and contacts to the children and people living and working in Bombay. I can only highly recommend Mumbai Moments for your stay in Mumbai! We came as curious tourists - and left as friends!

We made a great tour in January with Mumbai Moments. We visited the Slum and have tasted the great street food that Mumbai is famous for. Also seen how they make chai tea and of course also drank this. We also visited the Gateway of India and the beautiful Taj Hotel.
It was a really great day. So nice and interesting to also visit the house of our tour guide Rahul in the Slum. His father made a delicious chai for us.
We fell in love with the food, people and atmosphere in Mumbai and we want to see more of this beautiful city. We have already booked for January 2020 ;)

Amish has arranged two trips for me and my friends. The latest one was pretty much a last minute arrangement but they managed to pull together a good trip. Very good experience.

If you visit Mumbai you couldn’t do better than to use Mumbai Moments to get the best out from your visit. We did five tours using this wonderful company. Our guide throughout was Kamlesh, a lovely young man who is knowledgeable and quite rightly proud of his city and Dharavi where he lives.

On the day we arrived we did an evening tour which started with the best chai ever, and took us around the beautifully lit iconic city buildings. This was a great introduction to Mumbai.

The following day we had a comprehensive city tour, including the iconic heritage buildings and the incredibly organised Dabbawallas, who collect about 200,000 lunch boxes from the homes of the city's office workers and deliver to their place of work every day. We also visited the fascinating Dhobi Ghat laundry, followed by the Dharavi tour.

The tour took us through some of the industry workshops and it was fascinating to see how they operated. Our guide Kamlesh, a resident of Dharavi, explained the purposes and processes very clearly. Among other things we saw plastic and cardboard recycling, recycled tin drums being renewed and repainted; leather being processed and made into a wide range of leather goods, and much more. The second part of the tour took us into the residential area with bustling markets and children playing happily in the streets. This is not poverty tourism. It is uplifting to see the residents who are hard working and welcoming, it was an honour to visit them.

We saw Mumbai come to life on a morning tour visiting many of Mumbai's busy early morning markets, including, flower market, the wholesale fruit and vegetable market, the flower market and the fish market at Sassoon Dock.

Finally we did the evening Food Tour. You will not go hungry on this tour. The food is excellent and typical foods from Mumbai are included. Kulfi on Chowpatty beach is a wonderful climax to the tour.

We can’t recommend Mumbai Moments highly enough. Amish, the owner of the company kept in touch with us throughout and ensured that we had a memorable time. We will certainly cherish our Mumbai Moments with Kamlesh and Amish.

My sister and I visited Mumbai with Mumbai Moment last January. The owner, Amish, was very helpful in the planing of the places we wanted to see, answering dozens of questions and even calling me in Canada.
We visited the slum of Dharavi with Rakish who shared with us his passion for this very interesting area. The second day we visited about 10 places to see in Mumbai with Kevin who was very knowledgeable and could answer my numerous questions. I highly recommend Mumbai Moment.

My husband and I spent two weeks traveling the beautiful country of India and I cannot think of a better way to have started the trip than in Mumbai with Amish and Mumbai Moments! Amish and his thoughtful team were so wonderful from start to finish. We simply shared our interests and what we had hoped to experience and the Mumbai Moments team planned a personally curated, unforgettable experience. There are a number of tour companies in Mumbai, some are less expensive than Mumbai Moments, however, this team of passionate, devoted guides are unparalleled. I would not hesitate to recommend Mumbai Moments. Tours are filled with dazzling sights and sounds. Tour guides clearly love their city and are a wealth of knowledge, open to answering questions and many times, taking you off the typical tourist path. A number of times we were brought into the homes of the tour guides to meet family and friends, share a fresh cup of masala chai and get a truly unique experience. By the end of our stay in Mumbai/Bombay, we felt like part of the Mumbai Moments family. That is what this company is all about. I cannot recommend them enough and, keep in mind, we enjoyed a number of the tours: Market Tour, Slum Tour (from a wonderful man who was born, raised, and still lives in the largest slum in Mumbai), City Tour, Food Tour (an absolute must as you are able to try some of the very best street food in the world knowing that it is safe to eat because the tour guide knows who is using filtered water and constantly preparing fresh food that goes so quickly, it doesn't have time to get cold), Elephanta Island (from a tour guide that lives on the tiny island), and shopping. We were going to India for a beautiful wedding and our tour guide, Amish, who honestly we just consider our friend the moment we met, took us shopping for traditional Indian wedding attire! The entire experience was unforgettable from start to finish. We simply cannot recommend Amish and his entire team at Mumbai Moments enough, they are the best of the best and ready to share their incredible city with you!

Everything ran smoothly the whole tour and it was organised is a good way. Had a bit of everything, from history to architecture, break for chai and the most amusing guide in whole Mumbai!
