A very diligent lady who goes through the process step by step and makes sure the process is followed. She helps the patient understand in simple language, is patient and goes the extra bit for patients and communicates with them. Most importantly she is an expert in the opthamalogy sphere. Your eyes will be in safe pair of hands. As I had a short timeline, she did come into the clinic on her holiday as she recognised the criticality.
I was in Mumbai recently. After doing the OCT and Perimetry test, I was told by an Ophthalmologist at a reputable hospital in South Mumbai that I was in the early stages of Glaucoma (Normal Tension Glaucoma) and needed to start daily drops for life. I was also told that by another Ophthalmologist in Mumbai that I did have Glaucoma and to start taking the drops for life.
Dr Kotak reviewed the data, did her tests and advised that monitoring was needed rather than starting drops forever. She did not think I had Glaucoma, at least not yet. Dr Kotak took the time to explain to me what Glaucoma is.
When I returned to the US, I got checked out by 2 different Ophthalmologists, both very highly rated. One belonged to a Glaucoma specialist group with 15+ years of training and specialization in Glaucoma. They both confirmed Dr Kotak's opinion that frequent monitoring was needed, I did not have glaucoma and drops were not required.
Good experience at the clinic Doctor explained the causes and future treatment and precautions to be taken by us for elders as well as for kids specially
Dr Chandni Kotak, is a knowledgeable and reliable ophthalmology surgeon. She is quite focused to provide best care and advise to the patients. It was a good experience to get insights from her during the eye check up.

Dr. Kotak is brilliant! My brother and I both consulted her and she was warm, welcoming, explained the issues very clearly and advised on best possible routes for better vision. Instead of wrapping up in one session, she asked if we could come in thrice - once for basic reading, once with special drops, and once again for final reading. She charged for one consultation only for the whole thing! I’d easily go back to Dr. Kotak for anything ever in the future too.
