Nirvana: Vegetarian Paradise on your plate. This place is located in the thakur village and there are 2 outlet one in borivali and other in thakur village. Nirvana is the fine dine restaurant with a wide Variants of authentic vegetarian food. All the food items were really prepared very well. We visited this place for lunch and it was almost occupied by food lovers and localites. Staff has good knowledge about the dishes and they quick when it comes to service. Ambience is simple and has good vibes. Being vegetarian this place was very good, menu was very well curated they had authentic, continental with Indian style and Indian cuisine impressed with their menu. Glimpse of what we had Pizza Kulchiyaan: Highly Recommend. Star dish of the day we started with this and it was cheesy and delicious. Kulchiyaan with such a twist never thought of it. Fusion went very well. Thalipith Pithla: Authentic food perfect taste was a bit spicy but yes the flavour of garlic and onion making this dish a great one. Quantity can suffice one person Dal Bhatti Churma: This dish was served with Churma Laddo Dal and 2 pieces of bhatti, a lot of ghee on the dal made it a super delicious. Dal Khichdi: Highly recommend. Dal khichdi served with Khichiyaa churri and curd was really yumm, curd was of very good quality and creamy. Excellent dish. Indian delicacy where dal and rice are cooked together. Falooda Kulfi: Highly recommend. Pistachio and Malai Kulfi topped with rabri very well presented.
Service isn't good, but the food is nice. Booked a table for 1.30pm but had to wait for 30min to get one, they weren't sorry about it also neither we were served water wile waiting. When asked fir water 4glasses were served between 6people. Pathetic service. Also the server didn't asked before serving the dishes, as some people were allergic to mushroom it would've been in issue if I didn't notice.
Located in the interior of Thakur Village is a vegetarian restaurant that serves good quality food Nirvana is a veg restaurant that serves authentic Desi khana and also has a wide range of fusion foods. They have a few many combination with lasange and kulchas. All those who want to opt for thalis they got you covered! Get ready and grab a seat vegetarian folks . . . From the menu: -
Nirvana - It is located in thakur village. It takes 10-15mins from kandivali or borivali station to reach. Ambience is good and space is qwiyhuite enough for party or visiting with friends or family members. Staff was friendly and provided good service. We had
Kiwi stroke - it was totally refreshing and had pure kiwi taste
Pizza kulchiyaan - Was in circle shape and stuff was somewhat about pizza and cheese.
Jugalbandi- it was a dessert. It was too yummy.must have it.
Thepla qeusadilla- Thepla with different stuffs in it like tomatao onion cheese n many more loved it.
If you are searching for an Indian restaurant with some fusion than this is must visit place. Their service is good and the staff is courteous enough and knows the best of their dishes. We had aam pana and Peru chatka. - both the mocktails are perfect to kill the summer heat. In the food we started with paneer angare - I really like the spicy taste of it. Daali Bati churma- this is my personal favourite I really liked it I had tried this for the first time and now a fan of it. Paneer tikka Biryani- who told you that veg biryani aren't good, even they taste good and this was an amazing one, served in a pot covered with aata Thepla quesadilla - A fusion of western and gujarati food, it could be improved as it doesn't have much flavours is mild in taste.
Ended with the dessert name jugalbandi which has sweet boondi which was the best.
The ambience needs to be improved and also need to work on the presentation of the drink as it needs improvisation
Ambience is average, quite place good menu food quality is nice and cleanliness is maintained.the kullad chai and schezwan noodles are nice and indian cuisine are nice too
Being an ex resident of Kandivali, we’ve known Nirvana as the premium family restaurant which is always crowded for its delicious food. We happened to visit here after a long time and to our surprise the taste was even better.
We ordered for the-
Beverages: Watermelon Masti- A refreshing watermelon drink. Adequately sweet! Nutty Nutella Shake- the best indeed. It was so delicious, thick, natural that we ordered three back to back! Cold Coffee- it tasted good as it had ice cream in it. Mango Thickshake- the season fruit was not worth missing! The yummy thickshake was super delicious. Kiwi Stroke- a green mocktail to kick the heat of the summer away.
Starters: Desi Nachos- best thing about this dish is that it’s Indian. It had makhani in it which made it finger licking good. Paneer Tikka- the classic vegetarian starter we couldn’t keep our hands off. Tandoori Paneer Pizza- a beautiful pizza with 8 pieces. Very cheesy, and super fresh! Aloo Tikki Choley- the twist was, that this dish was served in the form of waffles which were made of the aloo tikki!
Mains: Chilly Garlic Sizzler- this sizzling tray had French fries and all the goodness of veggies. Rice was properly cooked and the Paneer tasted great. Aam Ras Puri- the typical Indian summer meal couldn’t end without a plate of Aamras puri. The Ras was a bit too sweet but the puris made up for it!
Desserts: Gulab Jamun Rabdi- served it so creatively, four halves of two gulab jamuns swimming in rabdi! Yumm, the taste couldn’t leave our mouth yet.
This place has kept up its goodwill ever since and will visit again soon!
Very nice restaurant for vegetarian food. This is a pure vegetarian restaurant. Have a wide menu and everything is great. MUST EAT OUT PLACE THAT CAN BE FREQUENTED AGAIN AND AGAIN.
Dishes were dirty, had send them back on two occasions. Food quantity is strictly OK or maybe less. Food taste is not so great. I would definitely wouldn't mind never visiting again.
Ambience: its good with its ambience, maintained pretty well, cleanliness is there, there is open place available for having food at out side the restaurant.
Food & Service: Food is much delicious and yumm, mocktails are available, Only veg food and jain food is available there, you must try out sizzler and paneer tikka, services are also at par and perfect.
It's a must go restaurant in thakur village. Pure veg food only available. Maharashtrian food options are GD. No parking in hotel, u need to park ur vehicle on ur own which is readily available.
They have some unique combos with gujrati speciality. A lil overpriced considering the quantity served. However my last visit did not go well as the food served was prepared in a haphazard way
It is too costly and not better. 1 Aam Ras Puri containing 4 small puris and 1 small bowl of Aam Ras costing Rs. 215/-. Pav Bhaji served in 1 small vati which we used for dal. It cost your near about 1500/- for 2 persons. Not advisable
It's a very good restaurant with delicious food. The Dal tadka & Rabdi gulab jamun are AMAZING! Restaurant has both AC and Open Air sections. D later is a perfect setting for Dinner with family. Go and spend time with your family.have fun
Ok for South Indian looking for udipi type hotels like MTR or sagar hotels this is not the type, went there bcoz of lack of choice, was clean and big and good service but mazaa nahi aaya
Nirvana is one of the finest restaurant in Thakur Village, but my recent visit to the restaurant made me to downgrade its rating. The menu is changed, not good but now it is similar to other normal restaurant nothing special to offer. Upon that the food which we ordered i.e. Thai soup and Mughlai Bhuna paneer masala was sooo spicy that we 5 people together could not finished it. We requested waiter to make it non spicy, but it was made damm spicy. The next day I suffered from hyper acidity for next two days. Nirvaana should take into consideration and make the menu less spicy and the older menu was much more better then the current one.
Over priced. Food taste is fine but quality is very ok. Quantity is very less compared to price which is sky high compared to other fine fine restaurants. Do not recommend at all.
Not a nice place for fine dine as it says. Not a kid friendly place, no kids m menu and high chair so avoid it you're with kids. Very unprofessional staff. The mend is limited half of the menu isn't available.
