Not worth the hype. A la carte rates are equivalent of a decent non-vegetarian restaurant. Worth the spend only if it’s the Thali

Simple, tasty, and wholesome Gujrati food. The thaali is sumptuous. The ambience is serene and the best part is the staff: attentive, quick, and polite. The owners also take interest in greeting and attending to guests.

We had the Gujarati thali on a weekend. Yummy food, great service, and friendly staff. You come out with your tummy fully satisfied. Farsan is very tasty, the choice of sweets/dessert is awesome though limited. Overall a must visit if you are around Nariman Point, Mumbai.

"Samrat" is known for good quality food that includes Thali System as well as a la carte, in Gujarati, and Punjabi cuisine for many many years. I don't remember, how many? The service is even better than food. The guests/diners get sense of euphoria eating here.
The establishment has maintained their tradition of finest food and courteous service till this day, albeit, the footsteps might have reduced significantly of late, due to Corona pandemic but the tradition of excellence remains.
Soon people will start 'crowding' the place and the 'Samrat may again have to appoint an usher at the main gate to maintain the wait list of aspiring diners.

Friends I have ordered Gujrati Thali I enjoyed as if I'm at Home having food Pls note as if mother or wife is not in good mood to prepare something different but prepare same food as usual. THIS WAS THE FEELING I HAD AFTER HAVING FOOD
As for example they should serve variety of Dhokla, etc

The is an old time resturant in South Mumbai. I was there as a part of birthday party. We all ate a fixed meal. The food was delicious and waiters were quick to serve.
. While it may seem small from outside, this restaurant is big enough to accommodate, may be 100 + people.
This place can be tried as an option to try a lunch or dinner.

I went to this restaurant last week as I was very excited to try out the Thali. The food was good.ambience calm and soothing. However as compared to other Thaali options Samrat has bit less variety. Also what was disappointing that they have only one sweet and that too you can't have second serving.unless you are ready to pay extra I mean seriously? !

Good food for Gujarati food. Have gujrati thaali here. Also serve aamras in season. They also give undiyo in winter's a must have delicacym. Samraat kadhi is to die for. Their friend gavaar is also great

Excellent place for family dinner/lunch. Ideally located near Churchgate station. Huge capacity, also available is Party Hall for private gatherings.
Meals served are very tasty and adequately proportioned. Beer is always served super chilled. Their Thaali is a must try if you like that kind of a platter.
Service is super quick and very courteous, staff is well informed.
I always enjoy coming here for a meal.

Has great gujrati thali. The staff is good, aumbience is great, location is also very good, does not have a parking lot. The prices are high but the food quality and quantity is superb. You also get ala carté (non thali) items which are great too.

This is one of the worst place u can get for veg lunch or dinner. Pathetic and arrogant service by people. Extra pathetic and nauseating food. Look like left over food since many days. I don't know why people recommend this for thali and other things. Don't even deserve for any rating

We ordered the thali. To start with it was a HUGE thali with lots of different items. The food quality is good and the serving staff is also good. I recommend this for people who like eating thali.

Gujarati thali is superb. Gulab jamun and kulfi are super class. Reshmi paratha and all punjabi dishes are excellent. Highly recommended.

Simple food made very well. Highly enjoyable thali with a wide selection of delicious options at a reasonable price. The staff were both pleasant and accommodating. I would go back any day without hesitation.

Good vegetarian thali.gujrati food.lots of varieties.but some main stuff like puranpoli undhiya came late.

Good Spread Thalli, go on Sat afternoons cheaper compared to the rest of days and evenings. Surprisingly they serve beer too!

Great place. Great food. Fast service. But yeah during rush hours they tend to ignore sometimes and even forget to clean the table inspite of asking thrice.

The Gujarati Thali is excellent. Considering the location and the unlimited Thali the price seems fine. The food is tasty and the service courteous. Definetly visiting for Lunch if you happen to be in the neighbourhood.

I used to enjoy eating here but over the period of years their food quality has stayed ok but their waiting staff is quite untrained and clumsy. Not great
