If you want to try some good Parsi breakfast of Omelette and Akuri then this is a very good option. I said option because there is 1 more Parsi place close by and their food is slightly better on some days.

Ordered Chicken Sali. The chicken tasted weird and the gravy was no good either. Nor did the Caramel custard (Irani hotels cream dish) tasted good.
Maybe kheema and other dishes taste good. I like the ambiance though.

A breakfast to remember! Truly lived up to its expectation of tradition and taste. Friendly staff. Kheema Pav is definitely a must have, (not at all spicy), followed by Bhurji Pav (kept wondering how can it be so simple yet taste heavenly). Cheese omlette was feel good eat- though its served without salt. Bun maska, brun, mava cake, and Chai- well nothin at all to add, enough has been already said. To top it all, sooo light on the pocket! Best Value for money breakfast. Glad to have such eateries still around. 5 on 5.
The downside is parking- we were lucky to get a slot outside the restaurant at 8am on a Sunday morning. Else, a cab to the place is wat is recommended.

This a all out place with best mawa and kaju cakes tea with maska khari is just to tasty not to try it then regret not trying it

The place seems to have gone to seed! Post-pandemic effect, I guess! The only good thing (OK, make it two!) was the brun and kadak chai! The scrambled eggs was a disaster! Took me three days of fasting to recover. The, once famous, mava cake was too sweet and pasty! Won't visit them again!

Amazing place. If you wanna feel nostalgic then this is a perfect place for you. You will feel as if you're in the 90s or something. The staff is pretty friendly and my favourite thing was the lemon cheesecake. Oh god that was heavenly!

Felt nostalgic. Old-time "Irani' restaurant furniture. Same culture. But, the dishes were a let down. The menu gave an exhaustive list which included even Chinese dishes! But the standard kebab and cutlets, though listed, were not available. Bun maska was classic, but not the tea!

Hmmmmm. Sassanian is a must visit if you are in the mood for some Iranian cuisine. A must try are their chicken puffs and tea and bread pudding.

Must visit. Try their amazing cakes. Food is good as well. One of those places that is frozen in time. Must visit to experience the old Bombay.

Amazing veg dhansak! The place is very hygiene and very old restaurant. The restaurant is not noticed at once but a good joint for your food.

This 105 year old Parsi restaurant serves one of the amazing sizzlers. My personal favourite is the Sassanian Chicken Sizzler. You can also try out Chicken Dhansak and for dessert Jelly or Custard.

An old iranian hotel. Food was ok. The chicken Dhansak was too plain and the rice too dry. The keema pao was gr8 though. The place looks too dull and not so clean. Basic rennovation maintaining the decor of an Iranian coffee shop is much needed.

Bought 2 cakes and found one to be stale and one completely spoilt. Went to return them and the owner did not believe me. Tasted the bad one and agreeded that it was bad for the second one being stale said I had eaten and did not agree. When I argued that why he was selling cakes which has gone bad yet when buying I was told they only sold freshly made one only, the owner became abusive and said we Gujaratis have a tendency of complaining which I did not take it in good taste and told him it’s not right to talk to a customer in this way. No way I would recommend anyone to buy from this shop where the owner takes customer for granted

Good food. Try the Parsi Bhonu section. I have been a loyal buyer since age 5. The pattice section is good.

Very old restraunt very good food perfect irani restraunt ambience. Chicken dhansak dal mava cake bread pudding are must have items here. They also serve very good Chinese now.

Authentic parsi snacks and food on offer, serves best plum cakes, can't beat early morning breakfast of brunpav and tea, special mention to the tea served here it's has awesome flavour

Quite a sad place to be honest, even though the owner was quite alert to check if I had been attended to.

The ambiance is a terrible letdown, feeling especially decompressing to the eye.

Sassanian is an old Iranian restraunt to be specific. The cakes and pastries and toasts and everything baked here is super delicious and up to the mark. This restaurant situated in Colaba, near Metro Inox is a worth a visit. Even the savoury items here are tasty but the baked goods are the best. During Christmas special cakes are baked here. The staff is good but you should surely NOT taste the jelly out there, it is terrific.

A gem in its own class. Go for the taste of every dish. And do try 3-4 dishes. Even the desserts. A very simple but a delicious option.

Only one thing.
Owner cashier- who wears red hat keeps on shouting at his workers without understanding that customers are also listening. There are heated arguments at times,
No professionalism.
If you feel I should not go there if I don't like the behavior, then actually that is what each and every customer is going to do one day.
This Iranian Cafe is surviving on past glory, and their owners are also living in past glory.

I love this place. Iam a regular here for a steaming cup of tea, good place to have keema pav or egg omlet or mava cake

Breadfàst is very famous and sought after

Nissim Ezekiel, the famous Indian poet wrote a lovely little tribute to Irani cafes in Mumbai, with the lines going “Please/Do not spit/Do not sit more/Pay promptly, time is valuable/Do not write letter /Without order refreshment. ”

Indeed that sums up the brusque functioning of most Irani cafes, which have quick service and grumpy waiters who try to hustle you out of the restaurant as quickly as possible. Nevertheless, Irani cafes remain close to Mumbai’s heart for their delicious Irani fare like bun maska,  cookies, bread pudding, akuri and berry pulao.

Although Irani cafes seem to be on the decline, there are a few standing in Mumbai that are frequented by droves of people each day.

Great food, ambience so so, service quick and satisfactory. Offers Parsi cuisine. Worth a visit. Sunday is good from traffic point of view.

Chai and Bun Maska was on point! Ambience is a bit enclosed. But a must visit in the dying line of Parsi cafes for sure!

Chilli Garlic potatoes are the best you can have here. Visiting this cafe from the last 20 years. Nothing is changed. Awesome food.
