Very disappointed, we have been having kombucha Rosella kafir since months from this restaurant. Today we found a fly inside the bottle. How can we trust your service henceforth. Highly disappointed
Healthy breakfast options Opens at 8 am Service is prompt Lots of ready made juices and aachars are available Every one can enjoy a calorie specific diet option It's mainly a breakfast joint Healthy juices for detox are available and very tasty Portion size is very small compared to the exorbitant price
27th August 2022 was any regular day for us & we ordered 2 salad's from Sequel as always. I think they realised my husband was on this diet where he is working very hard to get a chiselled physique & thought he would be a good fit for the Indian version of spider-man. Yes! They sent along a spider in the salad. Jokes apart when we spoke to the restaurant the person who answered the call was "Oh, I'm sorry you got a spider". The owner or anyone senior has not even bothered to reach out to us. My conclusion about Sequel, I think you take your tagline literally. Nobody wants a Spider in their food. Event if it is organic.
You are a premium restaurant your service & product should match your flowery words & claims.
P. S: I don't have photo's just videos & I don't seem to find an option to upload them.
I sat there for 5-10 minutes and no one came to take my order. The guy kept serving food to table next to me but never came to me with a menu. He then just stood there not coming to ask for my order.
The food was good.but i am not happy with their service. The ac was not chilling the place and despite Asking to reduce temperatures they didn't. It is bot on the expensive side but the quality is fine. You have better places in the vicinity to go to.
Nothing to really shout about with Sequel. Quite the disappointment as we were looking forward to this. We ordered;
Kashmiri Spiced Infusion with Almond Milk Jicama Tacos Sequel Bowl
It was healthy and combined a number of different ingredients, but the taste didn't exactly want me to pursue more. The Kashmiri Spiced Infusion with Almond Milk was not great and the one time (literally our first time) we asked for an alternative drink to exchange we weren't allowed to.
Inside the atmosphere is pretty sombre, it has a strange layout, which felt odd. The staff were courteous but didn't really offer their opinion when consulted.
I could not see where the door was located.it was very severe looking. As a foreigner know they do not take international credit card so my international self will not be back. I can’t review the food because they won’t sell it to my form of payment.
Have been to the place before liked it, but not this time ordered for the vanilla yogurt bowl which is supposed to have blueberries and raspberry got strawberries.when asked the person serving me Mr Amar, why is that got a fantastic and very rude reply as to there r strawberries and that it's the season of strawberries n its a kind of berry and that they will b changing the menu soon.not at all acceptable for such a place.
Disappointed. Charged full menu price for a bowl that says comes with blueberries and raspberries etc and then only comes with half a strawberry but still charged for them. Order a coffee with milk on side, get charged for the milk seperate. Madness
Sequel serves wine now. They have a good choice of salads and fully or partially healthy food. Ambience is clean, white, elite. It's not a noisy place, so good for a quiet reading time or a chill salad or even a workstation.
Extremely disappointed with the service. Ordered for a simple egg sandwich and waited for an hour. The server didn’t care to inform that Chef wouldn’t be able to make it. After my husband finished his meal and we waited for another half an hour and went to check on the status of my order, the server came back informing that Chef won’t be able to make it.
It's a cozy little restaurant which is separated by a wall as a partition, they have an outdoor sitting too. I would give full points for the ambiance and the aura created. Staff is cooperative, place is hygienic and a place one should visit to try out their offerings.
Served wine which was opened a day ago. Which was only disclosed after tasting it. A real put off. Food was really good. Small portions for the price though. And which all day cafe doesn't offer wi-fi. Come on?
Starters were excellent. Thai green curry was underwhelming and the desserts were disappointing. But love the ambience and hope to have a better experience next time!
[Shorter version of Zomato]: Here’s the trouble with Sequel: soon enough you see through its unhealthy obsession with beautiful plating for the Instagram-brigade instead of focusing more on taste, flavour, portions and being concerned with providing your money’s worth.
All the visual gimmickry on the plate, in the bowl, in the glass doesn’t translate into a good eating experience which, at those price points, should be spectacularly good and satisfy the soul. But you always feel that instead of a coherent meal, one is ingesting beautifully arranged ingredients that scream “Instagram me, now! ”, which makes you want to scream, “Hello, can anyone in the kitchen make a meal out of these pretty little things. ” Sure, it’s beautiful to look at, but far from satisfying.
Here, you get clichéd ingredient plating of squirts, sprinkles and sauce-drips. Instead of giving some decent amount of avocado and sauerkraut with sweet potato dish, they give you micro quenelles of mashed avocado and, literally, 5 sorry cabbage strands of sauerkraut.
Of course, great produce is expensive but things at Sequel seem preposterously marked up given the knick-knacks doled out on the plate. Here are a few other things that irk:
- If I’m paying 525 for an omelette, I need to know if the overpriced eggs are free-range, pasture-raised or not. The current menu doesn’t say.
- Raspberries/blueberries in smoothies/yogurt bowls always served straight out of the freezer. Didn't feel fresh as were never thawed properly, so were hard-ish and lacked all flavour.
- Food never comes out hot enough (the Balinese curry, Black rice noodle bowl, the jacket sweet potato). Probably, because disproportionate amount of time is being spent on arrangement and plating.
- Chia seeds are best digested when soaked. But, no. In their smoothies and bowls, they just put it out dry on top with other ingredients because—Instagram!
Sequel needs good portion sizes, worthy prices and, ultimately, proper meals. Not ingredients just laid out. I would love to go there again very soon, as I do like the concept. When it becomes a sequel to Sequel. When it has lost its infuriating knack of disappearing up its own, holier-than-thou, rear end.
Sequel is a haven for fitness freaks. The Wholesome Bowl is super yummy. The Blueberry and Mango smoothie is a must have. The acai berry bowl is pretty good too. Overall it was a very good experience.
Food was fresh and delicious. I was a lil disappointed when my husband said its a place that serves healthy food. On the contrary, I relished every bite!
A place with a lovely, clean ambience. The slick white themed decor is very classy, as is the efficient use of space. The tables are well-spaced out, which definitely comes at a premium in Bandra. The entire menu is curated health food, which adds to the premium.
It would be a thoroughly fabulous place, if it weren't for a few things. Most of all, the service is polite and discreet, but somewhat inefficient. Walking in alone meant being ignored by the servers completely, who seem to assume that nobody would have coffee without company.
The menu reads very well, and offers a really good variety for breakfast, small meals, full meals and beverages. That said, despite a friend's recommendation, I found the coffee to be strictly average. The server was positively surprised that I wanted a double shot americano, and two servers made at least five confirmations with me about that.
The food was well prepared and excellently presented, though the portion size could certainly be better.
Yes, it is a premium bistro, but it is still a café and Bistro, and one wouldn't expect to nibble their way through a five course meal to feel sated. Also, while this is most certainly a premium place, the overall experience does not seem to justify the prices.
Fab vegan food, very filling, very tasty. Options to add fish. Portions enough for one. Very polite service. Good ambience. Centrally located in Bandra
Unexpectedly amazing food. Looks beautiful and tastes even better. The place itself is also very quaint and a great place to come to work alone or have a catch-up with friends.
The lady probably she is the owner of Sequel is extremely rude, arrogant and disrespectful to her customers. Not once but at few occasions I’ve witnessed. What’s the point of having all the ‘exotic’ food on the menu when her inner core value systems as a human being is malnourished.
Had black rice noodle.with lemon grass, and sesame etc.so nice and light. Just noodle was a bit soft for me but delicious.so creative and good atomosphere. Will be back when I come to mumbai for sure.
Worst place in Bandra! Horrible attitude of the owner/ manager. The vegan salad I order was extremely bitter as all the toppings and leaves were very unsavoury. After complaining to the staff twice I sent it back and did not eat it. The service is also so atrocious as I had to ask to speak to the manger or owner. After a guy with glasses, someone with no customer care skills comes over and says that's the way the food is.you have to pay for it! Inspite of explaining the problem to him he was so patronising. I just paid the whole bill without eating and walked out hungry. I am also from the hospitality industry and have never come across a place and owner with such a bad attitude. Would definitely never recommend this place to anyone or visit again. As there are much better places in Bandra to eat where you are treated with respect and if there are issues they are rectified.
AMAZING! Super tasty and healthy at the same time! We went twice within two days although we were staying at the opposite end of the city. It's absolutely worth it.
Healthy fare available, however the ingredients used are not as exotic as the price mark up is. Fancy in terms of the menu descriptions and ambience however the food can be only described as guilt-free and healthy. Not tasty. Small portions.
Great ambience, excellent healthy food and very good coffee too. Surprisingly quiet inside despite the busy road out front. Service was friendly. On most delivery apps and well reviewed there too.
Small, cozy place for a quiet little meal. The ingredients are fresh and vibrant. I had a Balinese Curry while my friends ordered salads. The food was good and this place is definitely worth giving a try. Try their Buddha Bowl.
Great food, super nice staff. As a vegan I was overly happy to find this amazing place with delicious fresh, organic, gluten free and refined sugar free food! I highly recommend this restaurant for everyone who loves good food and good health!
