Hotel Sahil was once a very polished hotel before Covid. I have stayed in this hotel twice again this year. The rooms, bedsheets have been worn out. They need to run some renovations on it.
Don’t get me wrong. The hotel is still great for 1-2 night layover, but staying longer gets uncomfortable as the rooms are very small, especially if you are 2 people.
The hotel has all the necessary amenities, and for the price the rooms are offered, is excellent for budget conscious travelers.
The housekeeping staff is very friendly.
The bonus is their in-house Rivaaz restaurant, the food is excellent.
I will certainly stay back in this hotel again in my next visit.
Rooms are clean and well maintained. There are 2 types of rooms, one with door for bathroom and one without door. The one with door is better since u also get the advantage of a bigger bedroom. There are 2 restaurants with quite a good taste.
Staff Behavior Is Not Good, No Sanitation, No Parking Available, Staff Conversation Is Very Agressive And Angry. Waste of money, Waste Of Time. Please Don't Go Anyone.
Great service and staff. Gave me an early check-in. The room was cozy clean just like I wanted. Quick service. The food was also great. I didn't feel the need to order from outside, although buffet breakfast was not included in my stay.
Our overall experience was good. Rooms are good but a very small in size. The only complain is the man on the reception during the morning hours like 10 am was extremely rude and manners less. Check-in time was 2: 00 p.m. But we arrived at 10: 00 a.m. And we requested him to provide a room a little before but the way he answered and literally shouted disappointed me. Running such big hotel and keeping so mannersless staff decreases the rating of the hotel.
Good for stay. Bookings. Suit booking. Also There are banquets in there. With good space and decoration if you book for various events. Just the food there isn't delicious and tasty as a person would have an assumption of.
The best hotel in Mumbai central the staff is good Mr Santosh from housekeeping help me in my quarantine dayz the lovely stay hope I m going to come again
The place was fantastic and I loved the staff they treated us very well and the rooms were very cleaned and the food was marvelous. Overall the experience was amazing.

One of the finest hotel I have ever seen. Best hospitality in this times. The maintenance and service are excellent. The staff was very helpful and considering. Housekeeper gave me great service. They are also very meticulous about covid every day inspection. Overall experience was simply superb. Must for all who visit Mumbai Central for vacation. Thank you Ankita for your help and support we will feel free to visit again.
Its good place to stay nice staff, cooperative and good hospality. Just an issue of a bed which they join two into one and having gap between the two which is uncomfertable. All over its good to stay.
It's an awesome hotel. The food is just delicious. If at Rivaaz (restaurant), leave your food order on Chef Manish's recommendations. You will have a great meal experience. To top it up, is the service. The service is exceptional.
The food is not good and kitchen service is poor (if we order chicken they serve veg) and also I stay in hotel for 15 days. Hotel staff is too good but kitchen staff and specially Chef .
I fondly remember this place from my childhood when my dad used to take me for lunch/dinner whenever visiting Fort area. He loved this place & had been eating here since his student days when a meal cost Rs 2. Their meals facility had to shut shop owing to water crisis in the area - but as far as i can remember, their south Indian meals are one of my fondest childhood memory. Pity they had to close down. Can someone confirm in case if they started again? I would love to visit them & introduce my generations to this wonderful piece of nostalgia.
It was surprised. In Mumbai this type hotel. Amazing. If you want just for freshup in Mumbai. This is only one I suggest. Lost of rooms. Lots of bathroom. Hot cold water. Nice breakfast like poha, upma, Shira. Good service. Staff also best.
I remember visiting this hotel in 1998 for attending interview at Mumbai. The rooms were very clean and even I had food there. Mangalore staff were there and spoke to me Kannada. Can't forget this place.
This Hotel in South Mumbai opposite Victoria Terminus is one of the most Economical place to stay in dormitory format. The place is neat & clean with good support staff who cooperate at all times.
One of the best safest hotel, near to railways, cinema, all area cool calm, staff is wonderful.i have been staying since last years, I am vishwanath. Father of pramod vc
Very cost friendly place for single's or for business related travel. This place is just 3-3.5 min walk from CSMT and transportation is always available. If you are bored there is a movie theatre just a 1 minute walk away. BSE is quite nearby and also major sights for sightseeing is quite nearby, you can walk to almost all the sights. You will need to carry your own locks for locker provided to you. The dimension of the locker being square 2 ft by 2ft. You will also need to carry your own blankets and sanitary requirements (soap, shampoo, toothpaste and t-brush)
Staff is really professional and know what they need to do to draw the line without being harsh. That's a very important quality for hospitality industry. Keep it up guys.
This is three star hotel. Locality could be a problem though. Staff is friendly but rooms are way too small and the overall infrastructure is a bit congested.
It was very difficult to visit sahil hotel due to huge traffic. Although hotel was good and the hospitality was also nice. Room was very clean lights was also looking attractive to the customer
It’s hard to get a good hotel of this standard in Lower Parel. Amazing experience. Complimentary breakfast is average, nothing great about it. The in-house restaurant food is just amazing. Love their continental varirties and the sea food dishes. Must try item for me is Chicken Stroganoff
Best hotel in mumbai from cost point of view. Two person can live in just 1300 one day. It's amazing i am mumbaikar thats why I know how Mumbai is expensive. So if you want stay in mumbai then go for it.
People coming for your IELTS exam beware, there is only one receptionist at the entrance and his priority are the guest at the hotel. Somehow the staff here feels that they have no responsibility towards you because you didn't pay them directly (British Council did). Don't bother asking the receptionist anything, he won't be of much help and will rather keep talking to his direct customers.
I had gone for the IELTS speaking test. It is a decent hotels for a prime location in Mumbai. The receptionist and other staff were good as well. Just one negative thing observed was that tables in the restaurant below where we were waiting weren't clean so that could definitely be improved. Overall a good hotel.
Very luxurious experience here, I visited here for my IELTS speaking interview, which held today, about the hotel: this is really nice from the entrance all the staff members are well to talk the help desk is also good
It is very good hotel, tariff charges is little high. The location is good, it's in the centre of South Mumbai so you can visit Marine Drive, the Haji Ali Dargah and Gateway of India very easily
Well this was the stay i imagined when i planned the Mumbai Trip. Booked through Airbnb and the owner Mridula, is very straight forward and clear. She told us there is no parking facility, but there is Pay n Park near by. We did the same. It's very close from gateway. Old lift operator uncle don't like using the lift many times, no wonder as it is very old and antique piece actually.:) I clicked a picture also!
The building is around 100 years old i think, if my memory is correct. Old but Excellent rooms. Full of windows and lot of lights. You can feel the real Colaba life from here. Neat room. Spacious Bathroom. Good staffs. An uncle will come and clean the room, he brings water in clay pot as well.:) Lift will be off during late night i guess, coz we used the giant stair in the front.
Heard that they used to serve South Indian Meal's till 2010 i believe. But stopped it after the ownership took over from Mr A. K. Hebbar by his next generation i think. But you have other options to eat near by. Cafe Excelsior is within walkable distance.
Would recommend this place to stay whenever you're Mumbai.
The rooms aren't too fancy. You basically have everything you need. They provide food if you ask for it. Room service is decent. The price is 600 rupees per day, around 10 dollars. It's very reasonable. Its rich in the centre of Mumbai very close to chathrapati shivaji terminus. The roomservice guys are decent and nice to you. No air conditioning, beds aren't very soft. But it's great if you want to find a cheap decent place to stay. Also the building is old and some stuff feel like it's from a Harry Potter movie
