Loved the atmosphere of the place! Struggled a bit to find the restaurant but so glad we did. We only had a flat bread and some drinks but ot was awesome and service great.
This place is an experience that can't be described, only lived The food is amazing and served HOT. The taste is genuinely awe inducing! They've also nailed the atmosphere and feel of the restaurant, having a very slightly rustic feel while riding the wave of sass through and through.
Quality of this establishment has gone way down. I remember eating here some years ago and having a lovely evening, however I was quite disappointed with my meal last night. Ordered several house favourites and each was more disappointing than the next.
1) "Three Cheese Flatbread with stracciatella, emmental and cheddar, pickled jalapeños, fresh methi pesto and zaatar dust. " ₹575: Absolute JOKE. There was no pesto, no zaatar, no stracciatella, no emmental. I received a cheese toast with Amul cheese and jar jalapeños which could have been made at home by a 10 year old with a microwave. 2) "Loaded Nachos with refried beans, pickled jalapeños, queso and bloody mary salsa. " ₹425: Disappointing, particularly as a house favourite. Loaded nachos have massive scope to be made interesting, but these nachos served at Sassy Spoon merely had some lazily cold-tossed beans in what tasted like bottled pasta sauce and queso. No other flavour at all - no spice, no tang, no veggies. 3) "Mushroom fricassee mini buns with spicy tomato. " ₹395: Edible. Six bite sized mini buns with mushroom filling. Chef/menu setter doesn't fully understand a fricassee. Spicy tomato was just bland sauce - no spice, no salt. 4) "Sassy ravioli with homemade ricotta and garlic cream" ₹875: 7 measly pieces of ravioli with barely a hint of garlic and served with some awful candied nuts.
Overall, a terrible experience. Menu was lacking sharing plates and almost ALL the vegetarian mains were pasta. Just an unimaginative and underperformed meal. At these prices, either the portions must be massive or the ingredients must be top quality and preparation masterful. None of the dishes stood out or made me think "wow this is good! ". Very poor experience.
The Nutella croissant was really good. The corn puff was very mediocre though. Service was really good and fast. The air conditioning and ambience was also top class. I do wish there was a little bit of seating provided as we had to stand and eat our pastries.
Very nice and friendly staff. Excellent food. Would like to highlight Abhijit and Anchal specifically, at Scallions. Food was authentic Asian with the right flavors and spice levels. Would highly recommend
Great ambience. Got a Lil late to reach there. Ahd closed the orders but they did serve us the dessert. Also there's SASSY TEASPOON there which is a bakery and patisserie. They had some nice pastries!
Come here for a light snack and dinner with well prepared cocktails… Big Daddy LIIT was super. I liked the teriyaki chicken a lot.super taste … had a blast of time with my better half… Must try for couples … Cheers Team Sassy Spoon…
Keep coming back to this place. Located in a small bylane. Cousy place, good collection of music and a great menu. Friendly staff and their suggestions rock. Must try their pork ribs for mains & wings for starters.
True to its name 'Sassy'. The food is top notch and the ambience gets full 10/10. Finger licking pastas does justice to what they say they specialise at. The tag No one can eat just one just fits to their starters depending on ur choices. Fun filled atmosphere and friendly staff makes you feel cozy. You and ur frnds can spend an eternity togeder as time will just fly by and make u want more everytime.
Very very bad, spicy pasta in tomato sauce, this is not European cuisine, even spicy shrimp salad! You don't deserve this kind of evaluation and this money for food
Very very poor service. Ordered a raspberry cake for a colleague's birthday. Had mentioned all details and timings two days earlier and still they managed to deliver somebody else's birthday cake two hours late and despite calling them and informing them that they had sent a wrong cake nobody bothered to reply. After an hour the manager sent an OTP and called to ask for the payment of the cake that was wrongly sent. And man 4000 for that so called piece of cake- we really got a good shock. Will never recommend anyone ever.
Though at the pricey end, the food is however extremely delicious. Absolutely enjoyed the chicken wings with a cheesy sauce and the Burger was a monstrous deliciousness
Location, ambience and service was great. Food was nice although the portion size was on a lesser side. Heavy on the pocket bt considering the location worth it. Overall great place to spend evening.
Visited this on a weekday night, and it was relatively empty. The ambience was delightful, cozy and peaceful. Would recommend the butter garlic parwns and the Tamarind and Chilli Rawas
The only good work they have done is with the ambience. Food taste is average. Food Quantity is very less as compared to the price they charge. They dont even serve you in the plates.
The sassy spoon, Nariman point is a nice cozy place. It's one of our favourite places. Visited it almost after a year. They follow all the mandatory covid norms. We really like their coffee cooler and I highly recommend it to all coffee lovers! Very berry khatta was a reminder of kaala khatta of our childhood! The whole wheat toastie (avocado) was a bit under seasoned but the manager Rohit maggo was very quick in getting us appropriately seasoned as per our taste! We really liked his recommendations of grilled jerk chicken and smoked chicken tikka. We ended our meal with dark chocolate raspberry (raspberry sorbet with chocolate mousse) which was a bliss to the taste buds! Thank you the sassy spoon for another magical evening!
A very funky place, right behind the Air India building, it's charming decor will win you over first. Their signature cocktails are an absolute win, the Smokey Sour for one. They do a mean tenderloin steak, especially the coffee flavoured one and their Goan Sausage with basil ravioli was to die for. The sassy stacks make for a fine dessert. The meals are not too heavy but not very small portions either and you'll definitely feel full. A bit on the pricey side but still, very enjoyable for a night out on the town. They also have lovely outdoor seating. It's fairly pleasant and well lit.
Ideal place to go with friends especially during Covid days since they have a vast open space sitting. They have good food - must try the alio olio spaghetti.
Tucked away in the corporate area of town, The Sassy Teaspoon has a wide selection of sweet treats. From brownies, to tarts and macarons and varieties of savouries, we were tempted to try their Oreo Brownie along with a selection of Macarons on the side. We felt that the brownie was a tad bit on the dryer side, and hoped for it to be gooey and moist. The macarons were soft and crisp and worth their price. A good place overall to get your hands on bakery items.
Place the chocolate on the tongue, chew it a few times and then wait. Let it melt. Allow the chocolate to distribute evenly in the mouth so you can appreciate the full complexity of what it has to offer you.
Lovely food.pretty ambiance.nice service and served with a smile.overall a great experience.will recommend a vist whether with family pr friends or just a couple
We did the booking through zomato app, very prompt response. The ambience is nice and music very lively, not very loud. There was retro theme based songs. The food quality is good. Menu has limited options for both vegetarian and non vegetarian. The portion size is apt for 2 people. Reasonably priced menu. The best part menu starts with the dessert:) A nice for couples or groups of 4. Difficult to accommodate large groups. Indoor and outdoor seating, pleasant during winters.
The pastries here are good but no place to sit. Good for take away. I didn't found anything unique about these pastries and the tart I had. All in all an okayish place.
I love this place, I use to work nearby this place. I had such a wonderful time and experience with the staff there. They're very courteous and always attentive, do visit this awesome place, I highly recommend!
The sassy spoon was an unexpected gastronomic journey.decided to meet with a few of my friends for dinner. Rohan, who was singing live made the ambience all the more better along with the delectable food. The dishes we tried were: patatas bravas, chorizo naan (a must try for pork lovers), pumpkin croquettes and the star of the evening was the shrilankan chicken pakodaswith an awesome tomato base sauce as an accompainment KODOS to chef Amit Bhatia and his entire team, also Ashish the manager was extremely helpful
Though the place looks funky and the food sounds exotic.it doesn't taste that good for the kind of five star pricing each dish has.maybe because the restaurant is in Nariman point.we pay the price for high rentals.but then the food should match up. You can visit it once but there are better place with better food and reasonable pricing
The Sassy Spoon is a quirky restaurant located right off the marine drive. Have been planning to visit for the last 2 years and finally went for lunch all the way across town this sunday. We ordered the following - 1. Leek and potato soup with parmesan melba It was a thick creamy soup, subtle tasting. A comfort dish for a rainy day.
2. Multigrain pappardelle with palm hearts, cherry tomatoes in pesto sauce Absolutely amazing flavor. The pasta was made inhouse with multigrain flour. Had a good creamy texture. Very different. Must try.
3. Garlic roasted garden fresh veggies flatbread It is like a crisp thin crust pizza, loaded with veggies and cheese. Yum!
4. Sticky toffee pudding A bit too much on the sweeter side, but loved it. It is a pudding topped with caramel sauce and vanilla ice cream
5. Seven textured hazelnut and chocolate All i will say about this is - its a chocolaty heaven!
Located in an upscale commercial area, on the ground floor of Express Towers, Nariman Point. The Sassy Spoon offers a pleasant ambience. The Sassy Spoon is known for its great desserts and that was something I would give it credit for. The Sassy Spoon was a bit too heavy on my student budget but one should definitely give it a try for a good overall experience. The only disappointment is the portion size of the dishes for what they're worth. Overall, pleasant experience!
This place, located in nariman point, is considered as one of gastronomical wonders of mumbai. This place has classy colourful decor, lovely music n simply top class service making one feel lavish visiting out here. Vibes of this place are very positive. There are lots of retro things used for decor out here which are given a pretty fancy look n it surely grab one's attention specially out dated suitcases on one wall. Only hitchs is the washroom which is right outside in the mall. It has a limited but interesting n unique food menu serving European, Asian n Mediterranean food along with finger food n salads. The drinks menu is vast n has wide range of cocktails n wines n one looking for romantic outing with dine n wine option can surely give this place a try. We tried quite a few food items here.
Patatas bravas - This bravas were baked crispy n were filled up with smoked vegetables n was topped with garlic aioli. It was full of flavour n crunchy texture made having this one more enjoyable. Loved it
Loaded nachos - This nachos had a nicely crisp n thin tortilla chips n was packed with queso, salsa, jalapeños, olives n refried beans. The nachos were very good in taste n one of the few dishes served out here having decent quantity. Good part was that nachos chips did not get soggy at all
Avocado toast - Simply outstanding but priced also a lot for 3 pcs of toast (520 rs plus tax). This one had Whole wheat toasted bread which was topped with nice creamy avocado paste, fresh corn, pico de gallo n feta cheese. Avocado paste had a nice velvety texture n it tasted heaven. One of the best avocado toast i have had
Mexican style pois - They are actually pita pockets which are enriched with beans, avocado, tomato salsa n tortilla chips n is served along with french fries which were amazing. This pois were delicious n had depth of flavour n was very light too
Garlic roasted garden fresh veggies flatbread - This crunchy pizza types roasted garlic flatbread were loaded with cheese n veggies n was topped with garlic crumbs n basil. It was not over garlicky n was very delicious
Spaghetti - This one was absolutely scrumptious but the quantity surprised me as it was very less, say like 7/8 spoon. It was prepared very nicely using fresh veggies, capers, olives n sundried tomatoes n was complete treat to my taste buds
Paneer tikka masala biryani - This mildly spiced n delicious dum cooked layered paneer biryani was very authentic in taste n one looking for indian touch meal out here n blindly go for this one. Its served with raita which was very nice n it was not at all sour
Quantity was questionable of few dishes n i hope they did not cut the quantity as we used Zomato gold out here on food. Even if they haven't some items quantity will keep u wondering specially for money they charge. Otherwise food is of top notch quality prepared using finest ingredients n they tasted so nice. Service was top class. Servers were very courteous n at the same time guided us very well in giving orders. Anyway they goofed up in bill which was not expected from place as good as this. Pricing i found it to be a bit on higher side specially more because of quantity served in few dishes. Anyway its a perfect place for one looking for good places on occasion or for one willing to spend good money for nice lavish dining experience n food
Extremely Expensive. Service charges applicable. Food quality Good. Taste of humus not good. Good ambience. Pasta & burger was good in taste. Looses 2 star's for high rates
Very nice location as it's just close to marine drive. It is spacious. Beautiful decor. Food is great and there is a fresh vibe about it. Oh and valet service too.
The place has an interesting decor.one wall is covered with old style luggage and the others with some funky artwork. Coming to the food.well considering the price it was just averaged.presentation was nice but it faltered in the taste department. I mean if Ur going to pay 900 for a dish with quantity enough for only one person. It better be good.but alas.did not taste as good as it looked. Staff was courteous and knowledgeable. They were forthcoming and helpful. Menu was ho+hum as there isn't anything unique. Can give.it a.miss
Place is located just near the Marin dream, bit difficult to find at night but is away from traffic and rush of Mumbai. Nice place with good ambiences.finding a washroom is bit tricky there but presentation of food and cocktails is different from other similar places
The place has a nice decor and ambience especially for a date. The happy hour menu is nice and affordable. Some of the dishes are unique! Besides that the service is a bit slow and the dishes are on the expensive side with small portions. Overall a decent experience for a fancy restaurant
The Sassy Spoon has a good ambience. 3 craft beers are available - Indian Pale Ale, seasonal and a Belgian Witbier.
We ordered the crispy chicken, tandoor chicken and lamb seekh kebabs. Though the food tasted good, the quantity is less. Just 4-5 small pieces for the starters.
