It is a limited menu hotel. Non veg is the speciality. Go for regularly biryani instead of sajuk tupatli biryani because the sajuk tupatli biryani test little bit greasy
Excellent chicken biryani (that's all I had here). Okay-ish ambiance. Nice locality. Quick service. One of those locations where servants might seem little cocky.
Tiranga is a popular brand in Pune serving food for almost 3 decades. They serve primarily maharashtrian cuisine along with north Indian cuisine. Tiranga is also famous for their biryani which is one of the hot selling items from their menu. I recently visited their Kothrud outlet named Tiranga Bhuwan to try out few dishes from the menu. The décor of this place is pretty simple and the seating is comfortable. The hotel has a seating capacity of around 100 pax.
Solkadhi: It was medium thick in consistency but it was very sour and didn’t suit my taste buds. The coconut milk used in the preparation was spoilt which affected the taste as well.
Sukka Kaleje: Mutton Kaleji fry done in a thick masala had dry coconut in it and flavors of coconut and masala complemented the Liver portion. The texture was superb and it was well cooked. #Musthave
Sukka Tandoori Masala: In this preparation the chicken is first put in tandoor and then pan fried in maharashtrian style sukka masala, it was again a impressive dish. The tandoori flavor didn’t overpower the masala and it was a nice combination. #Highlyrecommended
Mutton Sukka: Perfectly cooked mutton pieces done in a thick and coarse masala with finely chopped onions was also a winner for us. The masala was medium spicy and was well blended. #Highlyrecommended
Mains
Mutton Kheema: It has finely minced mutoon pieces done in a flavorful masala, the texture of this dish was superb and it wasn’t too oily. It had flavors of mutton fat which was nicely blended with the masala however the kheema has lots of finely chopped onions in it and with less qty of onions I am sure this dish would be a show stopper. #Recommended
Gavran Chicken Handi: Thick maharashtrain style curry with flavorful masala was superbly done however the chicken was slightly uncooked, and it went well along with hot bhakri’s. #Highlyrecommended
Mutton Biryani: The mutton pieces were nicely marinated and the rice was cooked to perfection. It was served along with a spicy curry which was superb in taste. The biryani was good in taste. #Recommended
Desserts
We tried Malai Kutlfi and Mango Ice cream scoop which were good in taste.
Overall: Service was quick. Staff was polite and friendly. Special mention to the hospitality by Mr. Sakpal from the team. Thanks a lot Team Tiranga for hosting us. I would recommend tiranga for their maharashtrian preparations especially sukka preparations and traditional curries.
Location: Paud Phata Road, On LHS just next to Paud Fly Over after landing toward MIT Road, Kothrud, Pune.
A great hotel to be in, Be it for food or rooms, especially apart from food which is already awesome, service is top class, people like Vinay, Sony are an asset to the company who.
The quality and food used to be good initially but now it has gone worse. And prices are like 5-Star which initially used to be pocket friendly. My favourite "Mutton Thali" is no more the part of menu, in fact No Thali's at all. I'll not go to Tiranga anymore. RIP
First of all, it feels great when you enter into the restaurant. Good seating arrangement. Food taste is great with moderate price. Hygiene is maintained very well. Staff is courteous and clean. I would definitely recommend.
Kilo order was placed and the quantity and quality of chicken in it was bad. The curry was extremely salty and oily. No salad. The chicken tandoori was good that's a point in their favour. But the chicken was smelly and bad.
Biryani is super special Spices are awesome and well cooked biryani will delight you Best Biryani house in Pune Highly recommended for Biryani lovers. One of the best restaurant for non veg and service is also good.
May be the expectations we're sky high, so didn't find the food to be upto the expectations. First order of tandoori chicken was not fresh so had to return it. They replaced it with the freshly cooked tandoori and it was good, although it's little spicy for kids. Mutton hanfi was good though not exquisite as I was hoping for. Chicken sukka was good with black spices. Good part is that we could order bhakri. Egg masala was excellent. Chicken biryani was OK not great. Overall good food. Another problem is with sitting arrangement, a group of more than 6 people can not sit together.
If you are vegetarian then please don't go in this hotel. Very few options are available for veg section. And for Non-veg, Cost is too high as compare to quality.
The pride of PUNE biryani is super special Spices are awesome And well cooked biryani will delight you I had chicken biryani here and till now i Don't find any replacement for this restaurant
Best biryani house in whole area Highly recommended for biryani lovers.
Nice place to have food in emergency. Quality level is average but at quantity level is not good.it is extremely expensive.they charge like anything.they should really work on dish prices.we had only biryani that too half.
Speciality is Chicken biryani. Haven't tasted but friends who tasted say it is excellent. Veg options are very, very limited and it is not that good. Apart from Chicken biryani, most of the other items are over priced for quality and quantity. One example is Sol kadhi, it was really bad. Interior is also not in good condition and revamp should happen on priority.
Famous for non-veg food. Rates on higher end. Portion size is good. Service is very quick. It has good vegetarian dishes as well. Usually gets crowded at night over weekends. Parking can be an issue for four wheeler. Ambience is good.
Good place to have lunch or dinner in pradikaran area. One of the oldest restaurant still serves to deliver the correct quality. Food is good as well the service is awesome. Ambiance is ok ok. Easily spottable from road and has ample of parking space. Food: 3/5, ambience: 2/5, service 3/5
