Urban Tadka

I recently dined at Urban Tadka restaurant, and I must say the food was absolutely fantastic. The flavors and variety of dishes they offer are top-notch. While the service and atmosphere were just okay, the delicious food more than made up for it. I'll definitely be coming back for another culinary adventure!

This place has a nice fine Dine experience, with authentic taste of food, smokey flavours and all are very well maintained. You can enjoy a variety of drinks at their bar counter with never ending combinations.

Try Nonveg dishes trust me you will find different tastes than other normal restaurants.

Just FYI. It's is on 8th floor but expect no balcony view.

Showcases culture of Rajasthan with variety of frames & photos.only to relate nothing educational was found

Yesterday I and my husband went to this restaurant. Frankly speaking I don't like the atmosphere there was something stinking inside. There was no options for mocktail The waiter suggested me Watermelon mocktail but the taste was roten. Atleast waiter should be genuine coz we are eating it and if some side effects happens who is going to be responsible for my health. We trust the chef, the waiter that atleast we can get good and healthy food. Not recommend by me to others don't trust the food quality.

Basant was very courteous and helpful they should have more staff members like him. The food was amazing as usual. Must visit!

Food was extremely tasty. Over and above, service was also really great. Had a great time over here.

It's a chain of many outlets and Very popular brand in Mumbai for Desi  Punjabi Cusine food. As till 16 February they are Celebrating Punjabi Food Festival at every Outlet.

This place is spacious with good vibes spread all over. Ambiance is very Classy and attractive bar in-between the dine in area.

All the Mocktails were very fresh and good in taste. The tropical fruit Cooler was the one which I liked the most perfect in taste. Rose flavour just loved organic taste.

Both the Starter were very good in taste the Panner used in dishe was very juicy and Soft in taste. Bhatti ka Murgh was very juicy and roast flavour was best in taste.

The gravy of the dishes was very good as Soya was very fresh in taste. I loved the most. Gravy was just YUM in taste.

Just like other Urban Tadka outlets this Malad outlet got fresh ambience. From interior to food everything is just amazing. If you want to try proper north indian food then must go for it. Spices used are so typical and add more taste to the food. Awesome in terms of service and hospitality. Mocktails are so good. Reasonably prized.

There is biryani festival going on in Urban Tadka n that's one thing not to be missed!
I was especially here to try out their amazing Biryanis from the biryani festival.
I tired out the Tandoori Mutton boti biryani and takatak chicken biryani.
The biryanis were served in matka and had the authentic matka biryani taste. It was a bit oily. B it was spicy. But it was very tasty. The rice and the pieces were perfectly cooked. Raita and onion and lemons were served with biryani. Also I tired out the refreshing mocktails, the kulfi Falooda Shake and paan shake. They were milk based shakes which was refreshing and much needed. For desserts I tried gajar halwa which is seasonal and was Soo good! Also I tired the malai kulfi. That was good too.
I would highly recommend to visit this place to try out the biryani festival.
The staff was courteous. And there is also ample amount of seating. They have beautiful bar section too.

Fantastic place. My to go for end of year dinner. Must have Paya Soup, Bhindi Kurkuri, and Sarson ka Saag with Makke di roti. Look for Santosh the able manager. Extremely courteous staff and happy family place.

Quiet a decent setup with a warm ambience. The Paneer Tikka Biryani was just awesome. The nice & large paneer pieces were very soft, almost melting in the mouth. Wii definitely visit again for this Biryani & to try many more dishes. Also the elderly person manning the lift after 10pm was very gentle & had a friendly manner.

Great ambience.food taste is average as compared to price you paid.comfortable seating and very cooperative staff members that will serve you well above your expectations.
Overall great place to chill with friends and have those reunion that you were planning for so long.

Owners are gentlemen and I happened to visit them on their resto b'day and I was greeted with a beautiful greeting Card and lots of Jalebis wid Rabdi complimentary.

The non veg food is good, veg not all good. Service is very bad. No Coordination between staff. They take the order and forget it.

Extremely disappointed with services extended by Augustine the restaurant manager.
Even after placing the order at 7: 27PM and delay from the ASM Rajkumar we weren't honored with happy hour benefits.
Being the lead Augustine was reluctant to take ownership of his staffs delay in response and kept justifying, wasted our time and made our entry so unpleasant. It was absolutely disappointing that to my cravings I visited this place and encountered such a treatment by a brand like Urban Tadka

Nice ambience. You can spend good quality time with your family and friends. Food is good. Winter is the good time to visit as u get some authentic north indian food.

The veg sizzler we ordered was served well but the baby corn in the sizzler was stale. We were offered 10% discount on the food bill. Everything else we ordered was fine. Though I must pass it on as one time but it was my first visit and I heard highly of the place. I am disappointed. Anyways staff is better than timbucktoo & pop tates.

Planned a girls outing. Halted here for lunch. After ordering the food, we came to know that everyday for lunch, only women's table gets 20% off.
The ambience is good. Music is known and hindi Bollywood, singles etc music, not some random pub music which is just nuisance. The food taste is good. We ordered Palak soup which was good in taste but lacked the beauty of presentation. For starters we had Corn kurkure and tandoori mushrooms & baby corns complimented with Pudina chutney and garlic chutney. Both starters were up to the mark and spicy. The main course consisted of Paneer Lababdaar which had melting and soft paneer. The gravy tasted pure indian and was fun to eat. Roomali roti was a good option to order with sabzi. For drinks, we had plain chaas and Miami watermelon. The staff was courteous and friendly. Serving was proper. Overall you can have a good time with friends. Bit odd for family if they don't like music, dim lights and drinks environment.

A very Spacious place is one more thing which makes its plus point.
About food it's having a decent quantity bt quality is good js demerit point is in starters v ordered chicken Barbeque kind of stuff bt there is no Salad in presentation also so if u are a Salad lover u have to order it extra & hard drink is also quite expensive.

I have been eating at urban tadka for more than a decade now and the over whelming feeling now is that it's boring. The place needs to reinvent itself. The staff though helpful lacks the energy. The menu is ok. The food is a tad spicy. The meat in our bhoona ghost was not cooked properly. When i remember those days, when we regularly ate here, i feel sad. There used to be a dhol and the decor was rustic in that outlet. It used to be fun. So to sum it up, it's no longer a compelling option for a meal. If you choose to visit, check out the other options as well. You will find a better option, i am sure.

Very good food. Finally getting some tasty food to eat here in this part of the country. It's one of the best punjabi food serving restaurants in mumbai.

A perfect blend of North Indian and continental food. The place is mostly redecorated, seating are comfortable for all types of groups and couples. The wall effect from old pub is reused and it refreshes some old memories. The Sta
ff members are courteous and polite. On a busy day like Friday evening the supervisor will come and asks for feedback. The chefs recommendation are usually great. I enjoyed the nimbu chicken and colorful kebabs. Cheese melting inside the kebab ring would have added gold star to the dish. May be they are not using the right cheese. But this was easily forgettable due to the friendly service. The hero of the night was jalebi phirni. It was perfect, krisp and light on the outside and soft and sweetly juicy on the inside. You have to dip the jalebi in phirni to have the sweet crunchy and creamy taste in one bite. My wishes are always with the Urban Tadka team who hopefully retain their name by serving better each visitor at a time.

It's a great place to have a dinner with friends and family with great ambience. Loved the food kurkuri bhindi and chicken malai kebab was really very delicious.

I am going to tell you what I didn't like about this place. Mainly the food, it is loaded with unwanted spice which kills the flavour of most items. Didn't like the ambience either. The service was good though

Superb! Just one word says it all! The Urban Tadka restaurant at Malad west linking road is one of the best eateries I have visited in the recent past. They have an amazing spread to offer on their extensive menu, both vegetarian as well as non vegetarian. The food we had ordered was absolutely delicious and served hot. The Surmai Mirch Masala is one of the tastiest fish preparations ever and is a must try. The chicken ambarsariya and the achari prawns are also worth a try! The ambience is also very good and this is a family friendly place. A must visit!

Have come here with family to celebrate a birthday but the food was pretty average. The ambience is good and staff is warm & humble. But, the quality of food need some serious improvement.

Been for a private party. They have a terrace section outside which caters for group. Food is good. Loved their starters. The whole ambiance was nice. Quick service.

Though it's nice place to eat, it's little bit costly to common people. It's not good for family. The crowd includes youngsters. The bar section is in the middle.

Well the biryani was really just spices. The only dish which tasted okay was the buttr garlic prawns - but the size of the prawns was small.

The place has been recently renovated hence looks bright n welcoming. The chicken tikka was awesome and so were the mushrooms. The butter garlic chicken was bad. It was too much of white sauce. So it's a definite no no. Dal khichdi was very good. All in all a good family place

Good food good ambience but sloppy service which was a bit of a put off this time. Due to the service of the waiters got the feeling they it's best to only order food from there. Hope they improve that. Mutton patiyala is the highlight as there are very few places that serve good mutton preparation and of course the jalebi rabri. For vegetarians soya chaap butter masala is worth a try.

Amazing food.celebrated my birthday.manager and all staff were so friendly.felt at home.they treated me with gulab jamuns and jalebi rabdi and a beautiful rose with greeting card.made my day.

Very good place for drinks and veg, non veg food. Peaceful on top floor, very polite staff make your experience memorable. I tried veg biryani here, it is one of the best ever I ate outside home. Paneer Starters were good. Masala papad was not that good. Jelebi with Malai is out of the world here.

It's very difficult to say about your per dish quantity. Quantity is too small. Please increase 20% per dish.

Right at the meeth chowki signal, no one can miss this place. A very easy to locate.

Ambience -

The decor of Urban Tadka goes very well with the theme. As soon as you enter the restaurant, we feel, that you are in Punjab. The efforts they have taken to make a small Punjab in Mumbai is commendable. However, they must take care of washroom, which has to be tidier and smell better.

Food -

Murg Kalimiri Kebab - Boneless chicken chunks server hot in butter and black pepper. It tender, juicy and spicy good to go with a cocktail/mocktail.

Sarso Ka Saag - One of my favourites in Urban tadka. You shouldn’t miss this if you want to savour the true taste of the Punjab. Top it with white butter and have it with butter makke ki roti and that’s the shortcut to a heavenly trip. However I must add, in winters the taste of Saag is better.

Paneer Makhanwala - Soft paneer chunks served in velvety, creamy orange gravy is one dish you will enjoy with rice or butter garlic naan.

Aloo Kulcha - These two aloo kulcha is served with complementary chhole. Quantity good for one. Kulchas are soft and delicious, however the chhole was very average.

You must, make space for Rabdi Jalebies. Hot and crispy Jalebies, served with thick rabdi is best to another level.

Service -

Courteous, attentive and polite staff. They regularly keeps a check on you.

The 4 stars are for the Food & the Ambience but very poor service! The waiters take wrong orders and a lot of delay in serving the food. They really need to look into this as its really frustrating.
We ordered Paneer Butter Masala, Missi Roti, Butter Kulcha & Palak Lasooni but instead the waiter got Paneer Lasooni! We didn't return the order & thankfully the Paneer Lasooni was really nice. So Good food but confused service!

Good food but when I compare it with Urban tadka of Kandivali east which has closed down I am disappointed.

1 of my favorite restaurants in town.food is just too good let it be veg or non veg. 1 of my favorite is dal khichdi with double tadka. Ambiance is very good + the staff is very helpful in suggestions what to try. A perfect family restaurant! And a must visit place for Punjabi food lover!

The ambience and location of the restaurant is very nice and the staff is very professional and cordial.the starter (Afghani Tangdi Kabab) was served with a nice garlic chutney, we ordered Butter Chicken which was served without garnish and was very spicy, though it was changed still was little spicy and taste was very bland. The Jalabi Rabdi was good. Overall a good place with an average food.

This place has excellent food along with pretty good service. Dal khichdi is surely recommend to anyone who eats here!

The taste & standards habe degraded and so has the service. Not much to look forward to except for the lasooni palak sabzi. Hope they get back their chef who had got them the recognition.

This place offers Dhaba style food and ambience. Located right on to link road. This place does not offer huge variety but dishes served are awesome. But the price is on higher side.
