Sophisticated Indian cuisine restaurant revisited by a well-known starred chef. Located inside the splendid Hotel Oberoi, it has a formal setting, perhaps more suitable for business occasions. Poor service, with staff not fluent in English. High bill for context.

This is the best restaurant in mumbai. The Quality of Food is also very good. I visited there with my family last weekend.

The food was very delicious every bite was bursting with flavor and perfectly cooked. The whole presentation was beautiful and professional.

The employees are very friendly and made us feel very welcome. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a wonderful dining experience.

Ziya is best place where you got fabulous food as well as pleasent atmosphere with good service.

Prix fixe and a la carte menus in the Oberoi Hotel with great bay views. We did the course menu with wine pairing, which came to approximately $200 American. With each course there were vegetarian options, and all of the wines were from Indian vineyards.

For many years I had this wish to visit Oberoi as I had heard a lot about their gr8 Hospitality. This time during my Mumbai visit, I suddenly planned a visit to the Hotel & thought of having my dinner out there. It was a magical experience as the hotel itself is out of the world. The hospitality, food presentation was just brilliant. I had my food in Ziya.

After visiting now I have decided that my business will be taken to such a level that I can book my rooms over here. Thanks for the wonderful memory which you people gave me. It's a nice place to bring your better half & surprise her which I will do some day, Trust me it will be a beautiful memory for her.

Great Food. The staff are the real Star, specially Suraj who is extremely knowledgeable and helpful.

Michelin star chef restaurant. I expected some dishes to taste better, in particular, the charcoal prawns. Plating of the dishes was amazing. Very good service and a beautiful view of Marine drive nailed it.

This restaurant is not only damaging to your wallet but your digestive system as well. All their food is prepared much ok advance because of the complexity of the dishes that it becomes indigestible. They have no sense of nutrition balance, their only focus on superficiality of the taste and appearance of the food, that the health factor is compromised. Don’t recommend. Should be banned.

The food/the place was not worth the pay we ordered a combo of veg and non veg and the menu is minimalistic. Also after the aloo chaat starter we faced gastric issue.

Awesome experience dining at Ziya. After a week of having Indian food at a family wedding I thought another Indian restaurant would not work for me but it was an excellent and differentiated/unique experience.

5 stars for location! Splendid view of Marine Drive. To fully enjoy it, go during the day. Making the reservation could help you to get seated next to window:) The starters tandoori aloo and thepla tacos were one of best appetisers, I have ever had. The papads were also distinct and delish. In the main cource, we had chilli garlic naan, zeera rice with the in-house speciality maharani dal a.k. A.dal makhni. Dal makhni was too salty, but maybe it was just that evening.
Get it changed if you notice the same, I was too hungry to request the staff to change it. I regret it now The staff is friendly accommodative and they also explain you the dishes. I think I'm coming here again next time I'm in Mumbai. Highly recommended. I think my post already talks about the must haves. All thier dishes have ‍ kiss:) if you wish to gift yourself or someone a fancy night out, this is a place to be:)

Ziya is a fabulous restaurant. Food was just wow. View from the restaurant is Queens Necklace (Marine Drive). Ambiance is something that is very attractive. It’s one of the best restaurants that I have visited till date. Staffs are very attentive and they got us food according to our preference. It’s a must visit in South Bombay. I will see you soon Ziya.

Incredible location. Please take the corner round table. This one has the best views as well.

We had the most memorable anniversary dinner at Ziya. What a fantastic and unforgettable experience…from the welcome by a charming lady to the ambience to the service to the absolutely lip smacking food! We had Michelin star chef Vineet Bhatia’s iconic dishes charcoal prawns and lamb korma! What flavours! What taste! Thank you Chef…. We went to Ziya for Family Diwali Dinner yesterday, and it was the best choice. The staff was very much caring specially Surender who took all care and we went with options advised by him and Ziya lives up to its expectations. The food was very much presented well, the taste was awesome and the whole experience was a memorable one. No wonder the menus set by Michelin star Chef Vineet Bhatia and it truly showed the class of it in looks and taste. Will surely visit again!

Best place, best ambience, best food, best service. It was a surprise dinner date from my bestie, my first experience with ziya was out of the world. Best galauti kebab I had. The best surprise was the chocolate mousse cake. Will always like to make my day special with them on future

Yesterday visited ziya at the Oberoi.the food was awful tasting.the aloo paratha was undercooked and bland and the veg jalfrezi was bland and sweet.the dal maharani was tasteless.worst food ever had in my lifetime.service was good

Where should I begin. Fantastic views, amazing service and heavenly food. Every dish we ordered was fantastic. The lamb kabab was insane, and so was the dahi bhalla icecream with Chaat. The biryani was some of the best I've had. Totally worth the money. The chocolate samosa for dessert was an amazing finisher to a great meal.

This place has a beautiful but simple decor. The food is a great but awesome. The service is great and staff are so friendly.

The ambience is wonderful and the view is breathtaking. However, the menu is very restricted with not many options in starters and desserts. The food tastes delicious. Staff service is pleasant and polite. On an overall the restaurant is satisfying.

One of the best places in Mumbai for a pleasant dinner. The ambiance and service provided by the staff is unmatched. Attention is provided even to the smallest details. The food is really great. It's not the typical masala food you get in Mumbai however it has its own amazing combination of flavors. Coming to the best part, the picture perfect views from this place, It's to die for. Amazing tasting menu. It is so filling that I was full by 4th course. They have amazing dishes that you can't taste anywhere else. Unique flavors.

One of my favourite Indian fusion restaurant! I love their set menu and staff are really friendly.

Nice ambience! Extremely good service. Had asked for a sea view table when i booked but did not get one. The portions are very very small & nothing over the top. Had the herb paneer tikka chilli burrata which was quite good. The beetroot gaulati with wasabi hummus was ok but had only 2 pcs in it. For the price tag of 1125 + taxes its was not worth it at all. In main course we had the Kofta with fenugreek sauce which was very crispy kofta with a different sauce. The paneer makhanwala was average. The dal maharani was pretty good. The breads were regular but good quality like all the other restaurants. For desert we had the paan kulfi which was delicious. Over all a good but expensive dining experience which did not impress me at all. We landed up paying 9500 between 3 of us without drinks which did not take it to that level as per the price paid. But that's what a michelin star at a five star would cost you i guess. Would i go there again? ~ No thank you!

Enjoyed the experience but was a bit underwhelmed by the flavour of the food. The hotel and restaurant are both magnificent and the service was great. Was suggested we order 3 dishes per person and share but could have done with a couple less. Overall enjoyable but could have been better value for money

We have visited Ziya several times in last few years, the service has been declining. Last night (Sunday) we had dinner somewhere else and decided to go to ZIya for coffee and dessert around 11 pm. Once they found out we just wanted coffee and dessert they tried to persuade us to go downstairs to Verendah. We had to argue to get the table even though most of the tables were empty. After we were seated the service was very slow, they just ignored us. We won't be going there anytime soon.

We were hungry and for us this was the nearest place to lunch and time for kitchen closing was also nearing. We called them and they said no. Still we went thinking if not in Ziya then may be we can go for the all day dining restaurant in the hotel. Upon reaching everyone cooperated and finally we got a chance to eat at this restaurant.

Situated in Oberoi this had to be a five star. Everything professional and up to the mark. The waiters were also amazing with very good suggestions and we tried whatever was suggested and were quite happy with whatever was served. Best thing is decor and the view of the nariman point and the sea.what else do u need.the service is also top notch. Cleanliness also top class. Everything is perfect.

We tried Yellow dal, kofta methi, tandori roti, mushroom naan and jaituni biryani and trust me guys all was amazing. Beyond our expectations. They are good at whatever they are offering. Simply awesome. Even the complimentary items were good to have and enjoy. Everything 5 star. Of course the price was also like that of 5 stars, They are expensive. Very expensive. But the pleasure of dining in a five star is different and it costs a lot.

Well if u have thick pockets then it is a must try. Highly recommended.
