Open Up Cafe

I recently visited Open Up Cafe in Mawlai for lunch and had a delightful experience. The Fish and Chips were perfectly crispy and flavourful. The Mint Mojito was much refreshing and highly recommend. The Pork Chops served with creamy mashed potatoes, broccoli, carrots, green beans, and bread were cooked to perfection, offering a satisfying and hearty meal. Additionally, the Chicken Spaghetti in White Sauce served with garlic bread was creamy and delicious. The ambiance of the cafe was cozy and inviting, complementing the delicious food. I highly recommend Open Up Cafe for a scrumptious experience.

I asked for a chicken cheese burger.they gave me chicken burger with no cheese… and paying 390 for a burger with no cheese is what we call a rip off.the taste was ok.

What a beautiful place to hangout with friends and family. I loved the atmosphere filled with greenery and the food is outstanding…

Better food. Good quality and quantity. A little bit expensive. But the food is worth the price. Outstanding ambience inside and outside the cafe. Traffic near the cafe is not that much. Will be 3 or 4 out of 10. The ambience and food quality will be 9 out of 10. Waiting time is not that much. Perfect spot for couples, friends, and families as well.

Food is good and the menu offers different dishes which are not offering in other restaurants / cafe. The service is fast 10 to fifteen minutes. The atmosphere is cozy because the restaurant has two or three rooms and different from each other in size and decorations. Parking space is also available at the side and front of the restaurant. Will visit again the restaurant for the food and ambiance

Would rate it as one of the best cafe in shillong. Loved the place even more as they had parking space which is a rare sight in shillong. Coming to food, chicken grilled sandwich was amazing along with chicken apple salad. Would recommend this place for a good cafe vibe experience.

It is located in a lush green environment. Ordered several eatables. They took 40 minutes to serve. For coffe we waited for extra 30 min. The bad part was they served all the items together and some like chicken tacos was ice cold. French fries was also cold just floating in oil. In Cheese sandwich there was only cheese no vegetables. Chicken drumsticks were also full of oil. The best part is seating ambience and big parking space.

Beautiful place. Amazing ambience. Great food.we had chicken fried rice and chicken nooddles both tastes really good. Worth every penny spent. What else u need go for it without a doubt

Must visit cafe in Shillong. Big place, free from the usual noisy street but do expect smokers.

Really had a wonderful experience at this really good looking and extravagant vibe portraying cafe in Mawlai. Really enjoyed their different varieties of food items and total look and feel of the cafe. Tried their iconic monk tea and grilled chicken tacos. Really loved both, even though not a really fan guy of alcohol in tea still a variety concept, and the tacos was good too really good quantity and quality. Also tried their French fries and cold coffe with ice cre loved those too. Would really recommend anyone who would love to experience a nice vibe and ambience to chill out at this cafe.

Beautiful Cafe with beautiful ambience. Amazing hospitality, positive vibe, good service, friendly staff with happy face and quick respond. Good food and beverages. Pricing is not too pocket friendly especially for students, i wish if they can give some discount to students with ID's will be great as students don't earn yet they just spend using their pocket money so for them the price might be little high.this is wat i felt.but over all had a really good experience. A must visit cafe when in shillong. Best wishes and Keep it up guys team Open up.

This is the one stop place to have a good meal, the ambience is perfect the food is awesome and the service is upto the mark. Anyone who is in an around shillong or anyone whose traveling from outside if your looking for a hearty meal do stop at Open up Cafe, Mawroh and eat to your hearts content.

Food was delicious, we ordery peanut fish platter, it was different and tasty. Staff was humble, good and clean ambience. Must visit.

The place is one of the best in Shillong for continental food. Nice ambience, parking is available.should definitely try the spaghetti/ steak and grilled fish! The staff are kind and cordial. You can definitely take the decision to go here especially on sundays as it's open! Definitely one of my favorite places to eat in Shillong. Hope the team keeps up the good work and continues to delight customers.

The food is delicious at a reasonable price. One of the best burgers in the city! The steak here is delicious too. Service is great. Parking space is available. A nice place to celebrate birthdays or some other small parties. A great place to hangout with your loved ones. Do visit and enjoy!

It quite a gud place and the food there is also gud but still der shuld b an improvement space and the food item in menu is ok but wen i visit and had food der there is no combo

I Love it cos it has the best menu in town, the best food, quality and quantity always delivered. And no complaints about the service or anything whatsoever.

The place is pretty nice with some good food and cozy ambience but it tends to get crowded at times.

One of the best out here in Shillong, Open Up has never let me down. The taste of all that I've had so far, have been great, and I must say that I love the Fish and Chips served here! One remarkable thing about this cafe is that it has more or less been consistent in its offering, both in quantity and taste. And add to that, the prices aren't too exorbitant, as is the case in most Shillong cafes. Moreover, the place has it's own charm, in its interiors, the ambience, and its surroundings. A great place to lay back and let the sun set at it's own pace while you sip on some good ol' Monk Tea.
P. S. I would love to see the place update its menu, so as to be able to drown in more flavors!

Great ambience and food at moderate prices. It's more of a place for young people and less for families. If you're not on a diet I definitely recommend this place.

Must say that I am very impressed with multiple facets of this cafe.
Let me start with the service, not only are they kind but they also understand the food they serve.
The presentation, is definitely an aspect they focus on. Check out the pictures. And the elements of the presentation add to dimensionality of the dish.
The ambiance, it's a quaint cottage with a style of architecture that at one point represented the homes of Shillong.
Lastly the taste is ambitious, extravagant and cohesive.

A must experience if in Shillong.
