I highly recommend East Coast Hospital in Pondicherry to anyone seeking gastric and ulcer treatment. People, please do not get admitted here. They will drain all your money and will provide the worst services. Due to my grandmother's condition i was forced to choose this place. At first they said she was anemic and she needs blood immediately. Also, they assured that they will arrange for blood. But after admitting, they were saying it is up to us for arranging blood. With very very hard effort we some how managed to arrange for my grandmas rare blood group. Then instead of immediately giving her blood they intentionally delayed it till next day and they took numerous unwanted tests without our knowledge and charged extra money for it.
My message for the management, You are supposed to save people lives and not scam their money. For my life, i will never visit your hospital again and i will make sure others are also aware about your cash grabbing business.

Despite of dangerously low level of hemoglobin in my grandmother's blood, you had been keep draining her blood with syringes citing reasons of unwanted tests mainly to charge us with extra money and expecting more units of blood. Do you think we are having donors in our pockets? ! Very very unfair and unethical. Also, while beginning the blood transfusion i see many droplets of blood being wasted spilled on her bed and you discharged her without even removing the IV needle from her hand? Is your staff that much untrained? I made the right decision by getting her discharged from your hospital immediately otherwise i might have lost her.

Please value human lives more than money! At this rate you will never improve your reputation.

My whole stay was well taken care. All doctors and nurses in were very prompt in their service. Hygienic atmosphere. Quality care.

Sorry to share my personal experience with this hospital. We got tetra-3 ward with AC, bed cannot be adjusted, no pillow for patient we bought pillow from outside, no cabinet to keep things we have keep on floor, at night need to catch misquotes and flys. Insurance Claim intimation will take 24+ working hours, we have followup for many times. But good treatment and good nursing care, good food. I thank for that. Remaining are painful.
Instead of replying email and review. Please spend your valuable time in ensuring the facilities you promise to provide for patient. We pay for everything. Thank you all.

10days ago took my wife there with slightly injured foot. Duty doctor attended, xray was taken, no fracture. Medicine was given for 5 days for pain and swell control. We explained to Doc, after injury it was ok, but swelled after 24 hrs only, may be due to normal walking inside house, for this his comment. *veeta iduchudunga (demolish your house) * was very unprofessional, serious faced doc. After 5 days issue still persisted, visited Ortho Doc in OP. He checked and gave medicines for a week. One of the tablet had shortage, pharmacy issued 2 for 14, asked comeback later. Next day went to get Tab.but they start search in same place, said not arrive yet, called other branch and said not available. Refused my request to call same Ortho doc and ask for alternative medicine. No supply, diff staff was on duty and such were various excuses given. They told us to come back during OP hour and see doc. Simple issue with supply /availablity and next level help, all were very poor. Struggled to get that Tab from other location. Then continued medication, yet no improvement in health. Total of 10days were gone with pain and swell. I stoped going back to East Coast Hospital. Now seeing Doc in Posh hospital, today 1st Day. Conclusion: Duty doc needs to learn to speak well with patient and attender. Management and Pharmacy must establish better protocol. They say they are there to provide service. But what we get is excuses and insisting to listen to them. Disappointed with all who spoke with us. All were in defensive mode only and not polite, very BAD. This is for you to improve, not seeking your explanation. Dont post your default replies. Accept, Learn, Improve and survive or shine. However we are Not going again.

Excellent care and hospitality. The rooms are extremely well maintained and clean. Specific diets for each type of patient. In house dietitian makes this possible.

I would like to thank the Chief, Doctors, Nurses, Staff and Housekeeping persons. There was a good bond between them and my father. Such an hygienic and clean environment. Felt so good and peace over here. The treatment here is excellent, i could see my father getting well cured since the day he got admitted in such a condition. The Patient diet food is well maintained according to their health conscious, also good parking spaces for both car/two-wheeler. They got a lovely canteen around their campus. Overall a big Thumbs-up and Salute to everyone of the management. Highly Recommended

Let my try to cover the critical points.
Parking: Big parking space for car and bike
Reception: Responsive, Before going to hospital just call and check for your required information.
Rates: Normal (ECHO and TMT) 3000RS Doctor Fee: 650rs
Planning: very very poor plannings on appointments. We went for ECHO and TMT test reached around 2 pm with prior appointment to finish the test it took almost 3 hours. The test itself will take 45 mins to 1 hour per person based on their age. 5 pm they gave our test result and asked to meet the doctor. May be due to COVID 19 situation or I don't know the exact reason there is no doctor room. Doctor was sitting at back yard near to the garden space and to see him just to give the results and take observation status it took almost 3 hours again. Like we were able to meet the doctor at 8pm only. In one word just to take test and show the result it took 6 hours approximately. We could have went to Chennai and came back again by this time. BETTER PLANNING NEEDED BY STAFF MANAGEMENT. They could plan their appointments and let the patients know in advance to avoid such a wait time. If we have any green belt around Pondicherry please consider this as your Kaizen project. And PLEASE TAKE MOSQUITO REPELLENT if you are asked to meet the doctor at back yard space. Mosquito? Here will chew you like chewing gum. You can get odomas in pharmacy inside the hospital.

We came for my mother’s illness, now my mother is absolutely fine and happy about the daycare stay and the surgery went on really superb. She is excellent now. Although she might find little discomfort in walking it will be healed very soon I suppose.
The Nurses and the attendant were very kind and supportive.

Best quality health care ever seen. My grand mother has been got admitted in East Coast Hospitals on last month for non healing ulcer over lt big toe medical experts treated my grand ma with debridement and appropriate antibiotics now she is doing regular day to day activities and overall hospital is patient friendly.

Only hospital where the chief doctor attends to the patients twice a day. Ambiance is good as well as the maintenance. People attending to my friend right from Doctors, Nurses, Attenders have been very polite and warm. Reception was inviting and cordial and admission was smooth. Billing I had complaints but was attended to Immediately. Overall very good hospital.
Excellent Treatment for Kidney, Heart and Orthopedics. Ambiance is the best unlike any other hospital. Maintenance is excellent. The chief doctor himself sees every patient almost twice a day which no other hospital can boast off.
Considering hospital location, hospitality, patient treatments, doctors availability, their timings and system to book reservation i consider this one of the best hospitals in this city. I have been visiting this hospital for my aged parents for their cardio frequently and recently for ENT. They do have their own lab etc, instead of visiting multiple lab centers. During last treatments for my father i did avail corporate medical insurance as well, admins did a quite decent job of hazel free claim for the same. Overall I like this hospital.
The whole team of East coast hospital is amazingly nice, very cooperative prompt and willing to help always. We have always had a very pleasant experience here. Dr Murugessan and his team of doctors did an excellent job of taking care of our father when he was taken seriously and suddenly ill during our visit from Australia in mid November. We were very impressed with the care provided to him by the team. They were excellent.
