RAM.N RESIDENCY

Went to Pondicherry for a vacation, Called the owner 1 month Before and booked the room for Specially for Wifi, as we have to work for a day at room, 6 members and on the day of journey when I called, the owner suddenly changed and saying different Check in timings and when shower the screenshot of confirmation it got cleared.

When arrived at Reception got to know the Room was all Broken no proper lights, No wifi and the receptionist told he will fix the wifi tomorrow morning and when I went to washroom the Toilet led directly came to my hand and asked for a different rooms, and then went to a good room,

Things started to notice, Dim lights, leaking AC, No hot water and even Bed sheets were not giving for all 6 members. Had to adjust with what we had and specially the mosquito Problem. Rooms had very bad odour.

Atleast the owner and the receptionist should know that they are running a business not even basic needs were properly available, all 3 days 3 different receptionist does not have any idea that we are 6 members and called us to check out earlier and no proper communication.

And no hot water when asked why Geaser is not working now proper reply gave us heater to take shower and the switch board are interconnected to turn on Fans.

The building had been Damaged and something very fishy about that place.

Not recommended for Family.

Worst experience. These people are thieves. We booked a room via Goibibo here. We didn't like the room as it was not according to description and photos and also not hot water. The receptionist said cancel the room and you will get refund. But when Goibibo called they refused.
Goibibo and these people are thieves. Fooling people around.

The most pathetic experience I've had in my entire travelling experience of 10+ years.
The room was stinking during checkin. Waste was collected and stacked at the entrance.
No bedsheets, no blanket, no soap provided at checkin. The manager, Mani took cash and then eloped the hotel and we were left without any help at midnight post checkin.
The linen was soiled and there was hair and spot marks all over the bed. We tried reaching Mani multiple times but there was no response (obviously intentional).
Never book this place. Never.
And yeah, there is no place to park as well.

Well this hotel doesn't even deserve one star, because it fails on every field in hospitality.
Never ever dream to book this in any case.
We booked this hotel and the rooms were in such a pathetic condition that we moved away even after paying the full amount. We booked this hotel for 2 nights but as soon as I entered, there was no point in staying at such a dirty smelly pathetic room.

It's an wonderful Place to stay in pondicherry and it's near by white town and french colony.best stay if your coming to pondicherry I would suggest you to stay in pondicherry

Worst at everything, you could possibly expect of a Hotel to be. Poor service, lack of cleanliness and maintenance, and mainly, not a single present of staff was good and doesn't know how to treat guests!
Spending under Rs. 1000/night, is even a huge amount to pay/waste on such a pathetic thing!

It was a total nightmare horrible riom
Filthy bathroom with no water. The bedsheet had stains and also cushion was with fungus and oil stains. The manger there was drunk on duty. We were two girls travelling and he was very rude and misbehaved. Now when we asked for refund he did nt bother and said get out. So we went to police station and got half refund and we are still fighting it out. Hopeless hospitality. Just get over the horrible experience that we had at Ram N residency, Pondicherry. A total NO to this hotel.we have not yet recvd the payment from Mr. Natrajan. The worst experience ever.

Most disgusting place ever seen in all my travel.
A very shady place and it is nothing like the pictures posted on the web. Extremely dirty place with fungus on pillows and unclean sheets and pillow cover. No water in the rooms and staff cannot communicate in any other language except local Lang. Staff was rude and drunk. Definitely not a place for any women or family travelers, no matter how cheap the place

The place was okay.but there were no blankets available and our tap was broken.when we asked for blankets they gave us two old small blankets when we were three people.one of the blankets had holes in it.and we did not feel safe as we were three girls.the room beside us was booked by grp of middle aged men.they whistled at us when we went out of room (this has ntg to do with the hotel or hotel's staff though) still we felt so unsafe we were scared to sleep there at night.the ppl next to our room tried to open our room's door twice.dnt know if they had mistaken our room fr theirs or whatever it was but, it was scary.

Not a Bad stay, but it's worth for money. Spacious room, more comfort and there is a balcony, good AC, normal bed and small fridge. In photos and reviews have a tv on room but in our room has no tv. It's located on center of the city.over-all it's decent stay forever. It's worth for family and friends. Staffs are polite️

Not at all a good place to stay. Online booking sites should not list such a place to stay for tourists. Cost was so high when we booked through agoda. Not at all well maintained

Ram N residency is very good room are also need and clean beach walking distance for Rock beach

Save yourself before being looted:

The best part of this Hotel is that the adjectives can be clubbed as; dirty, foul smell, awful, untidy, broken, torn, shady, leakage, poor and so on etc.

A few things having "No" as prefixes i.e. Blanket, drinking water, soap, intercom (for show purpose), car parking.

I am so happy to share a feed back to be honest these hotel Is too good and clean and helped us to guide every day to plan our itinerary and also we requested for late check out the allowed us and here the staffs are very helpful and good, iam glad to suggest others to stay here. It's near to see also.

You can expect a good and comfortable stay here with the basic price and the owners are also very comfortable

We paid 3700/room/night and we booked two rooms for two days and that too because the rush was very high during the weekend that we visited.

As the floors start, you'll find a big pile of garbage in black polybags just lying there, stinking with fruit files and cockroaches roaming around it.

In our room, the shower tap was broken and so was the flush. The other room's wash basin' tap was not working.

Badly lit, shady rooms.

We were promised one extra bed and that's why we paid the extra money when the time came for it, the receptionist said that there was no such promise made.

We even had to request pillows, blankets and water, the basic amenities that any hotel provides and we got them, it was all dirty. The pillow had a blood stain on it and the rest were dirty.

We cancelled our second day's booking and left for home the same night.

A cancellation charge of 30% was still taken by them!

Absolutely horrible rooms, grossly and extremely overpriced, terrible service.

If you don't want to ruin your trip and vacation-y mood, do NOT book this hotel!

One of the most shady hotel I have stayed in.

The rush was very high during the week I went and I had no prior bookings, and RAM. N residency appeared as a ray of sun and provided us a room.

Rooms are stinky, wiring is very poor, we took two rooms out of which one room had a defective AC.
The AC was not repaired during our one night stay.
Corridor corner were filled with big garbage bags.

Only positive I could find was it being near to promenade beach/white town beach.

Worst hotel ever, worst service, didn't provide bed, had cockroach on the floor. Didn't even provide the full refund, ate our money.
Save yourself and don't go.

Hy guys this is deepan raj. I am a traveler i use to travel lot i com to pondicherry on this AUG i looking for good room i look on internet i cant find a good room but suddenly i get a suggestion on this residency i visit once guy's believe me on of the best room in Pondy.best for vibes.best for all.

Worst hotel you can get in Pondicherry. If you don't want a hotel to rest and only looking to keep your belongings then only you might consider booking the hotel.

First time I visited in 2017 it was fantastic in terms of rooms and Service. Now it is just a dilapidated building. No proper cleaning and lack of staff. The reception staff was well behaved and helpful. Lot of renovation needed.otherwise it will be a horrible experience for the guests. Being in the heart of the city is the only advantage. Travellers kindly take a look at the room before making the payment.

We got room number 201, and the room was at most to the down graded place.
Washroom taps were not working properly and wifi also doesn't work properly.
Also the door was open when we went out and came back and a white t shirt was lost and a tooth brush.
I recommend not to prefer this place at any cost.
And there is the foul smell coming in the reception.
We visited this place on 23 and 24 july 2022.
Only good thing about this hotel is its location other wise for all other factors its a thumbs down.

Cheaper stay at white town with good ambience. But next room people can hear your voice and you can hear the next room people voice which is a huge disturbance.

Very good hotel. We reached the hotel on the check-in date at 6 am where the time was 12 noon. But they managed to get us the rooms by 10 am. Moreover it is near to all spots that too within the budget. We had a fridge in one room. Just that the tap system is complicated and there isn't a dustbin. We had to stay a little more on the check-out day and we appealed them that we would check-out at 1 pm. The check-out time was 11 am. They immediately agreed to it. The day was a local strike and consequently most stores especially restaurants were closed and they helped us. In a line, a friendly hotel that is good within budget.

I had booked the place in booking.com and once I reached there, they said they don't have any bookings and also no place to stay. I had to book another room and move on.

Not a good place. The room floor was very sticky and in the refrigerator there was a cockroach. Also there was no door mat.

Everytime we have to call and ask for basic things (towel, Bedsheet etc.

Nice stay. Antique furniture, fridge, ac and heater available. Beach is nearby and staff is very cordial and helpful. Owner is also very friendly

Rithick roshan as receptionist, simply super he guided everything regards tourist place, hotel is user friendly

Owner (ram) is nice person, he allowed early check in at 4.00 AM

Good budget, with all basic facilities n near from the happening places in pondy, good one for on the go travellers

Rooms are very clean and staff is very polite and helpful. Breakfast was nice and all visiting places are very near by to this place. They also provide rental bikes for roaming around the city. Everything is in affordable prices.

Location is lovely considering it's close to buddy street yet not right on the main road.
Ambience is nice for any occasion.
Staff is courteous and know their menu.
They do have special items on their menu like bamboo biryani and tower burgers.

Food- soups aren't great but decent for the price.
Starters are tasty. Cheesy balls were quite cheesy indeed and the non veg starters are good as well.
Their tower burgers are worth a try although I think there are better options in town for burgers. They also offer Indian and continental dishes.
Overall a good experience.

Worst Hotel where anyone can ever check in. We booked two rooms for two nights we even confirmed our booking over phone, but as we entered the hotel and tried to check in they denied our booking. In spite of showing our booking receipt they did not let us enter. They even denied the fact that they confirmed the booking over phone. We payed 3480 INR as an advance booking amount but not a single penny was refunded after the issue. Instead they were offering a service apartment with high price. Rooms are very dirty. The hotel is very shabby. They don't have proper parking space and the road is very narrow. No elevators and very narrow stair case. Their service mans are horrible. They don't have any coordination amongst themselves. Please don't ever step in this hotel. You will be ruined horribly.

Very Very dirty, sheets were not changed from previous people and when we demanded them to be changed staff asked for tips! For this services. Toilets and batrooms full of filth it does not look like it has ever been properly cleaned. Toilet contained yellow substance on the seat. No toilet paper, initially no towels when we got them they were filthy grey. Rooms were full of dust and mould in the fridge. All furniture dirty never been cleaned. Food waist and rubbish in the corridors and bird waist everywear. Terrible experience! Avoid this dirty place like a plague! Breakfast was included but seeing standards of hygine in the rooms we were too scared to eat there. Very surprised that other people scored so high this hotel as it was very poor standard for the price we paid.

Great place! 5 min walk to the railway station, 10 min walk to MG road (shopping district, bike rentals). Clean and spacious rooms. You can use the common washroom to freshen up and charge your phone in the reception, head out for the day. AC and WiFi router in every room, Decent speeds with the WiFi. Worth the money you pay for. Do eat at Baker Street nearby and their restaurant Les Chefs serves great food just at little higher rates. Locality is fairly peaceful and with a step outside to the main road, you have access to Restaurants, Ice cream shops and rooftop lounges. Excellent value for money recommended.
