One of the oldest railway stations. Only minimal facilities available on platform. Nearly all trains halt here coming from bathinda or going to sriganganagar.

Roads in Malout are good with traffic lights to control traffic
Malout bus station is not in very good situation there is garbage on bus stand
But there is chairs on which you can rest or wait for bus
Auto rikshaw service in Malout is very good you will get auto rikshaw in 2-3 minutes to go to near by places
In Malout there is 2 Government schools one for boys and one for girls for upto 12
In Malout there is one government hospital and 3-4 private hospitals where you can go in any emergency situation
But in streets of Malout there is animals and streets are not well cleaned
