This is just an awesome restaurant wid a great ambience. And a pleasant atmosphere combined with a great varieties of tasty food.

I had an absolutely fantastic dining experience at 1559! This restaurant exceeded all of my expectations in every way.

First and foremost, the food was exceptional. Each dish was a masterpiece of flavor, beautifully plated, and made with the finest ingredients. Whether you're a fan of seafood, steak, or vegetarian options, 1559 has something to satisfy every palate.

It is a nice place for family dinner. Ambience is simple yet comfortable, food is delicious and service was exceptionally good! We were a party of 6 and one of the major reasons we had a good time was because of our server Mr. Ramesh Joshi. He was always hands on, provided good suggestions and cheerful.

Detailed review of the food is as follows:

Soups - Chicken manchow, cream of chicken and veg lemon coriander. All tasted great.

Starters - Non-veg and veg starter. It was an assortment of starters. All were cooked well, except the veg seekh, which was dry, not succulent.

Main course - Butter chicken, afghani murg kadhai, paneer tikka masala and veg biryani. Afghani murg kadhai was the only dish unanimously disliked. It did not have any charachter or taste.

Accompaniments of roti, naan, lachha paratha were cooked well. The missi roti was slightly burnt and the server replaced it no questions asked.

Desert - I ordered the apple crumble pie with ice cream and it was my THE DISH of the evening. I'll go back just for this pie. Other items we ordered were gulab jamun, strawberry milk shake, coffee and chocolate brownie with ice cream. Coffee was well brewed. Brownie was soft and less sweet as it should be, however, it was a little dry.

Food quality was great.personalised service and a great place to have food. Thanks to Kuldeep Singh for his care and service.

Lovely ambiance, great food. The prices here are comparable to any good restaurant around Udaipur. The menu is quite extensive with multiple cuisine options for both vegetarians and non vegetarians. Sufficient parking is available outside.

Ok outing place, no proper drink available, food was average, music was not matching the ambiance. Seems like a mismatch place

Has to give 5 stars for Food but because of staff and the food price, 2 stars reduced. Staff are not so customer friendly as I felt they are ignorant although it was not crowded.

Served expired beer. I visited the place tonight on 08-Nov-2021 and the beer had expiry date of 28-Oct-2021.plus the waiter had least understanding of food!

Great ambience with rustic theme. Food was just amazing! A must visit restaurant. Hospitable staff.

The setup is good. Gives you royal feeling. But the service is absolutely poor. We had to wait for half an hour for LAL MAANS. It was superbly cooked though. Try keema samosa too. The place was aesthetically pleasing for camera lovers.

One of the best restaurants in Udaipur, I ordered Thai curry, pork paperoni pizza, Risotto. And in desserts When we ordered, oh they were on the next level. Every dish was getting tastier than the previous dish, good food, good place and the best of all the Chef Roop Singh Deora was very humble and he was the artist behind all the food. It was fantastic and I would definitely recommend this place to visit.

When it comes to rajasthani food, I'm not a gatta person.but the food here is very good. Make sure to try their missi roti.

It's a fine dine restaurant with a great ambiance. The service is great and the food is amazing. They also have a garden restaurant which is very well maintained.
We tried the Laal Maas which was amazing. The meat was very well cooked and had a great flavour. We enjoyed the food as well as the ambiance.

Slightly hyped! Nothing great. We ordered virgin mojito and laal mas with naan. Mojito was very ordinary, lacked that punch. Again laal mas was not up reputation of 1559AD. We expected a better experience!

A wonderful place for dinner. The ambiance and food are amazing. Love the way they have used colors from staff uniform to the furniture. They also serves good wines!

Everything is absolutely great. They don’t have the wifi service available so don’t try to attend the webex while having the coffee here.

Nice mall. I am not sure but looked like biggest mall of chandigarh.almost everything is there.we went to Nik's backery there.which was also good.

Fantastico, delicio, numerous uno. The delicacies, cocktails, ambiance, service, all was top notch. By the end of our lunch our tummies were hanging, pockets were light and hearts were full I am definitely going to try new delicacies everytime I go there. I hope they will continue earning their 5 star ratings!

Just amazing.the decor, the feel, the vibe, everything (not in the lavish kind of way). I enjoyed the food, live folk music and the attitude of the staff. A must visit I must say.

Non veg platter was good.
Don't try the apple crumble with vanilla ice cream it was not good. Try kulfi instead.
Mutton biryani was Lucknowi style biryani

Taste is near to Gujarat. I liked it. But food quantity is less in comparison to rates.
Its 130 years old massion, built by britishers. Restaurant named by the year 1559, in which city got it's name udaipur.

Taste is not so good.
Paid 415 for paneer chilli but taste and looking was very bad.

Ambience is quite good, but service is very slow and the food was okay okay, not worth of it's prices.

The manager at this place Mr. Sumit Chauhan is the gem of the restaurant. The food was very good and the staff was so courteous most of all Mr Sumit. After dinner we couldn't find a cab as it got late, this man even arranged a ride for us to go back! I have never seen such an exceptional person. I would love to come back again! Kudos to 1559 AD.

Food is really really good. Ambience is really beautiful. There is outdoor seating as well as indoor seating. Price is not so high. Rs. 500 to Rs. 700 per person. Must recommended place to eat.

Honestly don't know why they r still open. Way past its prime, it was completely dead. Dirty upholstery, worst cocktails, clearly made by an amateur n d driest chicken possible. D manager made excuses instead of just apologizing. He did offer to change it all but it was already v late n there was no hope of anything better coming from their bar or kitchen so we left. It was only then did he apologized, which we appreciated but really, this place isn't worth a visit anymore, unless they do a complete make over n replace their entire staff.

This is a non vegetarian's heaven in udaipur.beautiful rustic look with a peaceful and antique ambience.
Can easily visit during the pandemic too since they take extra care of masks, sanitization and social distancing.
Though their service is a bit slow (since crowded mostly) but their foods are worth waiting a bit.
I have tried their
grill salmon & grilled fish (probably basa) in lemon butter sauce & grilled chicken in mushroom sauce: good quality fish and chicken beautifully grilled but moist and tender from inside, the saute veggies are cooked just the right amount so that they are still crunchy but not raw and had a lovely butter and pepper flavour and each sauce has it's own unique flavour which you just can't stop having
Chicken thai curry: Thai curry was a bit extra tangy which kind of overshadowed the actual coconutty thai curry flavour.
Golden fried prawns: This was the best prawn I had in a long time (since i am currently located in Ahmedabad). Large fresh water prawn are lightly coated with a mild flavoured batter and fried till they turn golden.served with a minty dip and a sweet chilly dip. You can taste the lovely sweet prawn along with the crunchy coating in every bite. When in here give this prawn a try and you would definitely thank me.they are soooo good.
In dessert section we have tried their
Cream Caramel: It was a normal caramel custard with carmel sauce. Not too sweet and a bit bitter tint of the caramel which is lovely and would compliment you lunch or dinner perfectly.
I always visit this place every time I am in udaipur and would recommend everyone reading to definitely give it a try.

The restaurant was amazing and the food was good. The welcome from the car parking was very warm and pleasing. Must compliment the person at gate with large moustache and Hukam Singh was looking after us during the dinner.

Continental food is better than Indian food. The starters and drinks are good Didn't enjoy the traditional Rajasthani Laal Maans.

The only plus point was the old rustic charm of the place. Food was total disappointment.portions were too small for price charged which way too high for that size! All in all not a good experience! Would not recommend this place.

Almost everyone had suggested this place whenever I had asked about where to get good food in Udaipur.

I went here for lunch and order their famous Laal Maas. Along with that I ordered Dal Makhani and Garlic Naan.

I liked the Laal Maas but the Dal Makhani was below average. It had a distinct burnt garlic flavour which was not at all pleasing.

All in all, my experience was okay, not that great.

Good food nice ambience and environment there was a good atmosphere wit love tabla and bansuri but 65 rupees bottle was being selled at 110 rupees which is a minus point and sweet dish was nice

After reading some of the negative reviews, I was initially skeptical about the place. But the place blew my hesitations away and how. Before I start, I gotto say that this place is no "Social", so the cocktails might not be what we expect coming from a cosmopolitan place. Now to food: But these guys know how to prepare what they specialize - in my opinion - which is north-indian and rajasthani dishes well. I had kebabs, Roti's and curries. Their lamb preparations are top notch. I was delighted with the malai kofta. About the ambience: I loved the space - I visited in the evening hours after sun down and sat on the garden area. The setup is just perfect for a fun family outing. I suspect it might not suitable for a group of friends who would want to talk and have boisterous fun. But this is a place for a peaceful evening with folk music live. Bonus is that parking is super easy - not one of the strengths in many places in Udaipur

Food tastes good. Service is not up to the mark. No trademark dishes as every other guides and drivers suggested. Can try once if you are looking for a good hotel in Udaipur

The place is not as impressive as hyped.i hoped for better ambience.the staff was great and food was nice.the crowd seemed good so it must b a local favourite.we ordered the mezze platter and masala peanuts and Long Island Ice Tea from cocktail and paneer tikka masala and garlic naan from main course.decent food and great service but overall the place is ok.

It is worst restaurant I ever visited, the staff is very rude and they only care of foreigners. Food quality is very poor. They serve you cold food. Indian should not visit this restaurant. I will give negative marking for their services. Friends please avoid this place.

Near by fatehsagar.sitting arrangements were good and staff behaviour was ok.and ambiance was good. But food is worst in taste.here i ate worst butter chicken of my life.so i suggest if you are foodie like me.then never ever try place.but if you want good ambiance then you can go.

I have been to this place couple of times and it never disappoints. The century old premise has been rearranged for this heritage B&B and the ambience is pleasing. You can go as a couple or with family. The food is good whether you try Indian or continental dishes. The Gatta curry is worth try and one of the best I ever had. However, the budget is north of 2000 for two, still good value for money

I had a very great time there. The food the staff and the service are consistently good. The manager came personally and looked after us and not just one time. He kept coming and checking on us. Highly recommended.

Rating it 2 stars for the exorbitant prices of food here. Paneer sabzi is 470/- onwards. Regular sabzi is 380/- onwards. Naan is 60. Roti is 75.

Ambience is good. They light a fire for you in winters if you sit in the garden. Place is huge.

My short and lovely stay at Udaipur was just getting better until i went to this restaurant. This restaurant is close to Hotel Lakend where i stayed, Zomato reviews and being a gold partner was the main reason i decided to go to 1559.

Pros:
1) Good spacious outdoor lawn seating.
2) Nice decor with a heritage feel

Cons:
1) no one to assist: Since i am from service industry i do understand how difficult the job of a server is but hey if you are paying a hefty amount for any dish on the menu you would expect a smile and welcome from a restaurant staff.

2) Disinterested: the server was least bothered about our likes and dislikes and didnt suggest any dish even when asked to.

3) poor food portion and price: the food is pricey and Tandoori chicken seemed like the hen wasn't slaughtered but died of hunger.

4) zero compassion: Even though zomato code was given, the server got a bill without taking off 1 dish from the bill. After we figured this out and addressed it to him, he came back in a bit after taking it off the bill. He didnt even bother to apologise or atleast try to explain why it wasn't taken off the bill in the first place.

Overall experience:
The guys here clearly are not looking at the big picture and are relying on foreign tourists. I will definitely not recommend this place to my friends or family members as food and service is a basic necessity.

Had a great time. The ambiance is great, hospitality was great, food was okay but prices are bit high if compare to food quality otherwise can visit if you like peaceful atmosphere & flute music which was great here.

Worst restaurant ever. Manager Yogesh is the rudest and the most ill mannered manager of restaurant. Pathetic service only aiming to serve foreigners and other tables made to wait. Manager and staff very rude and unprofessional. Will jot recommwmd at all
