On The Rocks

Upon arrival the restaurant had a very welcoming ambiance and we were shown to a table in the garden. It was busy with a mixture of Indian and western diners.

Having read previous reviews about poor service I’m afraid I have to concur with those reviews.

The problem clearly is that the people they employ have very little waiting experience, they struggled with English and as a result every time they served us either a drink or food, something was missing or incorrectly written down.

Ie they brought gin and ginger ale…. I asked for ice and lime and it didn’t come with any. The wrong food was brought to the table. Compared to every other place we have visited the level of understanding was extremely poor.

That said, the ambiance is great and the food good also (when we got what we ordered). I would recommend it however as it could be very good. Enjoy

We took soup and chilli honey potato with some chicken snacks. Soop was good and other two preparations were ok. But the thing which disturbed the mood is that the first thing (ginger tea) we asked the attende staff couldn't be served by the restra.

So, for us absence of tea made other things below normal and no value for money. The waiter should have said we don't serve tea and we could have tried some other restaurant.

Had high hopes from laal maas, but it was undercooked and not even spicy. Also the price is too high and very less quantity. Better look for other place for tasty food.

Visiting from past 20 years but last 3 visits were worst.today heard from the senior staff " khana hai to Khao nahi to mat khao".
Can't recommend to anyone after this incident

We are visiting last 20 years but last some times we are facing not a value for money.staff r misbehavior and said " kaha hai toh khao verna chod do" very disappointed,

Ambiance is really to go for. Food is so good. Service is prompt. My only question here was that they even do not give onions slice as complimentary. It was really surprising. Otherwise really good experience.

The place is situated at a very nice open place. No parking issues. Made on rocks concept. Have a bar. You can have drinks outside the bar as well in an open garden area. Place looks quite different and you can see full of foreigners during the season. Candle light dinner. When it comes to food I would rate 3*. Location and the feel 4.5*. Service 4*

I've been coming here since I was a kid and the place always has it's charm that will make you forget about the work and gives you calm mousing feeling.
Food is good but I don't usually come here for that.

Good for one of the getaways. Ambiance is a little too weird. Not bad weird but can be better. Open area for dining is good. Food is okaish and over priced. Its good to try not a must have in jodhpur in my opinion

I hv been to on the rocks. The ambience and gentry was First class. I hd ordered Lal Maas. The taste was average.

If you want peaceful environment than please don't visit tHsi place. If you don't want peaceful. Just chill out with full sound and DJ than you can visit this place.

Awesome food, Great ambiance but not great when it comes to staff otherwise I would have given 5 stars.

Overrated! Pricey! Perfect ambience but with below- mediocre Vegetarian food. Ordered a Penne pasta, got a sugary white saucy pasta Instead. Not going back again.

Delicious food and helpful staff. I didn't find the price of the food reasonable. Also unnecessary taxs were charged.

I have been there with my office staff. Nice environment but when it comes to service it is quite poor. I found that they usually prefer foreigners for delivering service. We have to call many times & reminders for even starters there. Also if you are a person who being local marwari prefers something spicy then you will definitely be disappointed here.

Place is awesome & service is good.price is cheap for dollar carrying people.

This place is superb. I do not have words to describe this place. The place is so beautiful and embience here is so fantastic.that you will love this place. You can get drink with food, there are separate bar here.live music and you will get a clean restroom here. This place is very famous amongst foreigners and travellers.
Just visit this place and you will get in live with this place. So visit on the rocks and order on the rocks drink.

Fine dining in Jodhpur. Hit here for authentic Laal Maas. Be careful of the chillies. Cool it off with extensive Bar menu. Also try Til ke Kebabs

Food is awesome.bt service is very very poor.few waiters are very arrogant.even water was not served till 25 minsfood was served after 55minutes after the order.

Ambience and food is good. Service delivery is bit slow and privacy is disturbed due to over crowding.

Food taste was good even though it's costly. Ambeince is nice. But 20 INR Water bottle sold for 70 INR. Staff will not respond for whatever u ask. Better to avoid this place. Asked for finger Bowl couple of times. Finally washed hands in washroom. Kindly avoid this place.

One of my fav place. Service is bit slow during weekends. Mouth watering starters. Ambiance is really good. Must visit place.

On the rocks was recommended to us by a friend and it was surely not a disappointment the ambience is very soothing and comforting. The dimly lit backyard look of the sitting area gave me a feel of being in my own backyard. If you are looking for a really romantic evening sitting outside is the best ide, as your table will have a candlelight. The staff is friendly and welcoming. We ordered the 'tangdi til' kebab and it was yummy.
It was a really romantic evening we spent.
