After a week, the quality and customer service had completely degraded.
Although vegetarian cuisine is generally okay, there are some poor-quality non-vegetarian options as well.
Half of the chicken tikka was un-cooked. The biriyani's chicken was only partially cooked. Murg pudina ka shorba was nothing more than a soup that once again reeked of rawness.
They were least bothered to accurately take our orders, knowing that we were using our Zomato dine-in pass coupon. After learning that we had visited the week before, they were forced to reconsider their initial denial of the finger bowl.
We were asked about packing when we requested to package the leftover food, as though this was a novel idea in India.
Bad experience all around, including terrible food. Go ahead and enjoy the atmosphere if you don't care about the quality of the meal or the service.
We booked Deluxe Room via Agoda and were very disappointed upon arrival - the room was dark, small, not cozy at all and not as per pictures. We stayed in a homestay before for 3 times less and it looked much better.
After expressing our disappointed several times, we were offered a free upgrade and the room we got then was definitely up to the standards we were hoping for when paying the price. But if that did not happen we would have been very disappointed. The new room still had some issues, eg the shower drainage was so clogged, it would take an hour or more for the water to clear from the shower area after one person showering. The fine dining restaurant Rasa was also a bit disappointing, we definitely had better food for less in India.
Overall, it is a nice building, but was quite disappointing and definitely not great value for money.
It's one of a kind royal palace types hotel built in a very traditional, intricate and a beautiful way. The architecture is amazing. The art displayed is mesmerizing. The lobby, the pool table, the garden, the rooms, the lift, everything has a Rajasthani art and culture depiction in the perfect way. If you want to feel like a royal King, queen, prince, princess, do go and stay here for minimum 2 nights. The service is amazing. They have marble flooring, marble statues, marble entrances, marble bathrooms, and pillars. They are run by a once royal family and have multiple properties all over rajasthan. If you book from MakeMyTrip, you'll get a bomb offer. The breakfast spread is amazing. They everyday make sure that they're serving all varieties along with some famous Rajasthani dish as well. For me the mirchi vada was the star. We were welcomed by a live traditional folk music performance and were in awe. Loved it.
We didn’t stay here much longer because of fight with missus. The staff was cooperative and hotel was really clean and crowd present there was also good. The only issue i felt is that such a big hotel doesn’t have any parking, you just have to park on the main road. That is why i’m taking out 1 star. Checkin process was really smooth, they also gave us tour of the hotel. Since we have to leave early in the morning we didn’t got the chance to try out breakfast. I’m just guessing from my short stay it will be good. We are planning to go there again to complete our stay.
Don't waste your money on this place. The only good thing you will see in here are some decorations and a 'jaipur' feel. Everything goes downhill from there on. Towels seemed like there are used since 5 years. Bedsheets are filthy. I even had vomit stain on mine and when I called and told them that, the response was 'koi baat nahin saaf ho jayega' (don't worry we will clean it) The breakfast was horrendous. Not great options and whatever they had tasted really bland and tasteless. They even messed up a simple masala tea. Room cleaning service comes in, puts your bedsheet back in order, provides 2 clean towels. That's it. No Cleaning! There is a TV in the room, but there is no active channel. Says your subscription to cable is deactivated. I could not find ONE positive thing and i paid lot more than a branded 4 star hotel Don't waste your money
Hotel is very nice and a good value if you are in Jaipur. The people are friendly and helpful. Also consider the “Pearl Palace Heritage” if you are in the area. The Wi-Fi here is abysmal however, and should be regarded as non-existent and an embarrassment to modern times.
The staff is not trained especially the front desk, they don't know how to treat customers. Long way to go if they really want to be what they aspire to be. I found them to be extremely money oriented, which is not bad if you don't forget customer centricity and customers first! Overall an experience I would not like to repeat!
A truly wonderful place to stay in. A must if you're visiting jaipur. Its conveniently located close to the railway station. The place is filled with an authentic heritage vibe. The alleys, galleries, waiting halls and rooms are decorated in vintage art and decor items. The service and staff is exceptional too. The property has a good restaurant as well on the top floor with good views. You will definitely want to come back to this property again.
It was like a nightmare for me once I checked in. I have booked Shahpura suit from Agoda app. In app this room shows picture of bath tub also in the amenities it also show as a Bath tub room. These guys have alloted us a basic room without bathtub which hardly cost 3k although for shahpura suit I have paid 7.5k.when questioned these people informed us that they alloted us shahpura suit and they have no idea y it shows as a bathtub room according to them shahpura suit doesn't have bath tub however it appeared that they have alloted our room to some foreigners. Becoz wen we rechecked our booking details in their booking form it showed foriegn address. These guys have no answers to our questions 0 customer centricity when questioned they asked to check with the app plus they r not ready to allot us our booked room the only solution they r giving is to check in next day which shows they have alloted our room to someone else since they have no availability inspite of booking it in advance. These people gives 1st priority to foreigners and Indian customers doesn't make sense to them. Please don't rely on ur online booking with these property's they r not entertaining any request and problems faced by Indian customers. In end they give ur room without intimation although u have made full payment in advance but that doesn't matter.also the lobby manager is very rude he doesn't have manners to talk being a hotelier.plzz guys confirm ur booking with these property they r not reliable n trustworty.very very disappointed in the end u have no option left to accept all their conditions since this is no refundable property. #worstcustomerservice
One of the best Heritage palaces I Ever saw. Shahpura House is always is my list to stay. Recently I stayed here for 2 nights. And It's none other than the best stay experience of my life. From a Luxury heritage room to mouthwatering food is all I experienced here. Whoever is fond of luxury heritage architecture or wants to experience a real King Palace can stay here to experience all of these things. Thank You Shahpura Hotels for a lifetime experience
The property is old majestic with added alterations n added space However the hospitality factor is missing, overheard from the insiders that they are keen n waiting to serve foreigners rather than own Country people, the staff is trained to serve foreigners n not other's. Well had a comfortable stay n staff was hospitable, worth a visit atleast once
Rooms are big and clean. Facilities like swimming pool and games are very limited and very small in area. Food is a big NO. Though it is priced on a higher side, the taste is lacking in all even for basic dishes, tea, coffee etc.
This is the first time i am staying in this property and i must say it's remarkable! Perfect location perfect aesthetics perfect hospitality! People on the reception were helpful, the representative guiding us to. Clean hygienic and sanitized room with comfortable beds! The property has beautiful decor and the entire composition is full of royalty beauty! Must visit this heritage hotel!
the exterior (landscaping, the building, rooftop accessibility)
rooftop restaurant (it's a separate establishment from the hotel, but nice that the hotel gives a discount for dinners)
People (the people working are usually fast and efficient in their work. The only extra embellishments we saw were the musicians and the doormen -> who was very nice and sweet and sharply dressed)
Cons: the location (the main entrance is in an alleyway. Like a small gully road. Also when going on the rooftop, although it is a nice view; it's just a rooftop view. Nothing particularly picturistic or scenic.)
If you twisted my arm, I'd comment that the inside of the Deluxe rooms (lowest tier) weren't as nice as the pictures say. There were marks on the walls where you can tell they moved the furniture.
OVERALL: I'd 100% recommend it. The bathrooms are clean, the sheets are clean, the towels were clean. The decor is very lovely. The walls and ceilings in certain places were hand-painted and you could tell. There were also sections where the walls or ceilings have mirrors in the designs
What a beautiful hotel it's very very pretty and what the ambience are I would suggest this is the must recommended place if you want to book at very low cost and in a very beautiful restaurant and hotel this is the best place to visit and to stay beautiful service very clean neet what a fragnance and what and beautiful art they have inside beautiful structured
Nice place for stay in Jaipur. It was my first visit to this place and had a wonderful time. Clean rooms and toilets. Staffs are friendly. Located at the best place, we can easily book cabs and rickshaws for many tourist attractions easily. Pool is also well maintained. Great hospitality by every staff starting from the main gate.
Excellent Stay! Rooms are well maintained and hygienic. Breakfast buffet was really good, they were alot of options to choose from. Location is also very peaceful and nice.
I would like to take a moment to share my experience at Shahpura House, Jaipur. I have spent almost 2 days in the hotel along with my family and it was an excellent stay experience and superb hospitality offered by complete Hotel Staff. All the staff are polite and humble while carrying positive attitude all the time. They were always ready to help and just a call away. I would like to give special thanks and appreciate the efforts given by team who have given their best to ensure customer comfort and quality services to be given. Hotel is equipped with all necessary services and amenities which make your stay even more valuable. Cheers!
Beautiful property, excellent service and within a 10 min drive from the railway station. The rooms were spacious and well appointed and there is a good breakfast available.
Very posh property. I felt like I was in some 5star palace. Very well maintained and built. Fully satisfied with the beauty and the upkeep of the property. However food could be better but *poshness* overshadowed everything.
Worth every penny. This hotel is better than any other monuments in Jaipur.hope they keep the same price for my next visit.though its bit costly for me.if you want to spend more time at hotel.this is the best place
Non friendly behaviour of staff right from security.reception.waiter.the guy with specs in the restaurant (idiot). He may be restaurant manager.no coordination between staffs at all.nice interiors.nice room .
The narrow lane on which hotel is located is full of dirty water after half an hour rain. Can't go out even upto own car No driver in hotel, no parking
Staff was not found good especially House keeping no bath towels were there in my room very bad staff I rated 1 star a man idk his name may be ranbir I think some one was calling by this name his behaviour was very bad no manners he is in hospitality industry and he didn't even reply I asked my telephone is not working can you please send some one he didn't even reply I think he is dumb or what very bad experience
I was doing job training in this Hotel property is good. For property 4 star and for staff zero stars they seams to be good but they are not Lenin and bed sheet are not change regularly. Atlast I worked for a month and when I left they said trainees ko salry to milti nhi? Very bad experience TBH they are just looting you.
Amazing property, in the heart of Jaipur, ultra luxury. You feel like from a royal family. Nice summing pool. You can spend a day roming around and looking each nook and corner of the hotel. Staff is very helpful and and food is good too. Breakfast spread is ok. If you love to take photos it's best place for photo shoot.
I am writing this honest review on the basis of my stay in the Shahpura house. I dont understand why people write so positive about this place. I went there with my parents 3 days back. As per the other sites, this place is exceptionally clean, authentic food, good ambience etc etc.everything is wrong. We booked through agoda on the basis of positive reviews and amazing rating and got some good deal. So here is my experience, we checked in 2 rooms, around late evening types.one for my parents and second for us. So in my room, bedsheet was not clean, ac was not working, we requested them to change the room. We moved to the next room around 12: 15am. Same issue with the changed room as well. Bedsheet was not clean, i didnot sleep whole night due to itching. Because the bedsheet was infected and not clean properly. Next morning same thing happened with my parents room. And one of the shocking was used sanitary pads instead of tissue paper. Food was not good and chai was also bad. Its my humble request to everyone, please write honest reviews because someone on this planet is book the hotel on the basis of reviews. Please check all the photos. And do check the sanitary pad one.
It's was an amazing stay. The ambience was so royal and staffs were humble and hospitality at its best If you ever visit Jaipur. Please do make bookings for it. I'm sure you won't be disappointed, rather be glad and stunned by the beauty of this place. 5 star is the least I could give, it deserves more. The best stay till date
Shahpura House, Jaipur is an excellent Heritage Hotel and Palace of Shahpura Royal Family. We had a wonderful stay in their Shahpura Suite. Rooms were clean and most important they had iPad docking station in the suite which was a relief. Washrooms are very beautifully designed with intricate Marble work
Its the most beautiful place hotel I have ever stayed at. Just a palace. Every corner and everything makes you feel as if you are in a palace and will spot a king and a queen shortly. The Maintenance of the common areas is superb. The place is spotlessly clean. Coming to the rooms, they are spacious with all royal furnitures. The bathrooms are great with stuffs made up of sangmarmar. The food served is again of superior quality with variety. The staff is so helping and knows how to server customers better. I did not want to leave this place but vacations comes to an end so quickly. I will again go and stay there whenever i go back to jaipur again. I recommend advance booking for this place as this a. Heritage hotel and very popular among the tourists. This place is a five star for me ***** Great Art
There are multiple reasons why this is rated the “Most Beautiful Hotel in the Jaipur” - while the architecture is splendid, the hospitality matches it to make it an unmatched experience even for well travelled folks. In a row of popular restaurants and Bars …Shahpura House is a boisterous spot with an all-embracing bar and lounge. The ambience can be described as a meld of a heritage with a voguish touch to it. The seating options are well planned and comfortable. Shahpura House lives up to it's name attributable to a fabulous modern bar and rooftop RASA with the bartender doing his tricks and a comprehensive drinks menu that they feature. With a range of regular and fancy liquor options to a plethora of elegant cocktails. The customer service is top notch, absolutely flawless.
A hotel plucked straight from the Rajasthani history book, this is an awe-inspiring, jaw dropping and painstaking labour of love from people who know what they do and how to do it.
Every detail in this hotel in impeccably crafted and draws gasps of disbelief from customers who know their art and craft and just wide smiles and pure joy from customers who don't.
Our Royal Suite was beautifully and painstakingly decorated and really comfortable for me and my family.
A 5 star experience is something me and my family will come back to time and again.
Very much renowned hotel of Jaipur. Specially for rich people. Person with a higher income prefers to stay here. I have seen and attended the weddings too in this hotel. Everything is perfect, be it decoration, lighting, staaf, parking and other hotel facilities are too good to enjoy. Perfect stay with the nature view.
They have under rated themselves. It is such a beautiful property that I found it better than Hawa Mahal or City Palace. The staff is so kind and the whole hotel is very clean. Starting fr their main gate to the reception, to the waiting area, to the corridors, to the dining area everything is beautiful and well maintained. The property is very wide and 5 floors high and has Swimming Pool, Garden etc. The buffet breakfast is amazing and has lot of varities. I will recommend this hotel one hundred percent. Book it without any doubts. I stayed for 3 days and didn't find any major issues.
No words can explain the beauty of this palace. It’s said to be a kings house converted into a hotel.its an extremely beautiful place which will make you feel a part of the history. If anyone planning to stay in Jaipur this place Is highly recommend. The place has a beautiful architect, design, interiors, exterior, artifacts. The rooms are so beautiful with an olden touch interiors which will make u fall in love with it. The staff is extremely nice and polite. The service was great. The food was very good n tasty. Overall great experience and highly recommended place.
The property is very good but the housekeeping was below average. Had to call the housekeeping staff multiple times to get the basic things and even then the response was unsatisfactory.
So beautiful house it is.well mentained.staff are very polite and GivingGood Service.if any one have to go jaipur again thn i will suggest this hotel.and the breakfast also was Good.
This hotel will give you real Rajasthani feelings in terms of hospitality, food, and architecture. Best hotel to stay in jaipur. Everything was perfect and more than my expectations. Rooms will give you true palace like feeling, lobby common areas are very well decorated. Breakfast buffet was extremely tasty. Will definitely visit again.
Shahpura house is one of the best property to stay. Wonderful interior, you well get royal and haritage stay feal. Gentle, helpful staff, delicious and Verity of food. With all these it's in budget with 5 property near to all popular market.
What should i say and what not. The atmosphere, vibe of this hotel is awesome, Housekeeping staff and In Room dinning staff are quick and cooperative. The check in procedure are quiet easier and enjoyable (garlanding culture). Restaurant is good but the food taste is not as the hotel's name.food varieties are no doubt fine but the taste is not satisfactory.
Nice place in the posh locality of Jaipur. Little away from main city. The rooms are spacious and toilets are excellent. Just that when you book through sites like Agoda, OYO, etc. You are given the worst of the rooms. If you book directly through the hotel you get best of the property, and you also pay a higher price for it. The hotel has only a swimming pool to talk of health club facilities and nothing else. The pool is also closed due to Covid and winter conditions at present. Not bad to try at all for this price.
Amazzzzinng place to stay. Food quality is cherry on the cake. Really a heritage hotel. Staff is polite and attentive. Rooms are big and cozy. Highly recommended
Beautiful Property! Pool and SPA were closed due to COVID. 4 stars due to lack of other health facilities like Sauna, Steam room, Gym, etc. Lovely rooms, excellent room service by Ravi and his colleagues. Other highlights would definitely include: 1. Polite staff 2. Great in house cuisine on the ground floor 3. Neat and clean rooms
I have been there with family & friends and the first thing of disappointment was location. The moment you reach location you will realise that you been been fooled with exotic photos of property.
Cons - Check in at 5 PM (4 hours late) Location - Bad - In residential colony (just like 3-4 plots are merged to create the hotel) Food / Brekafast - very slow service and hlaf of the items gets finished within 1 hr of brekafast Staff - Very limited staff.kept follwing up for small things
