Hotel Tashi Tagey

Its a wonderful hotel-cum-homestay at Tadong near Gangtok. Comfortable and pleasant stay. I enjoyed it.

Excellent place, especially the quality of service and cleanliness, is awesome. Also, they have a beautiful rooftop garden and view of the entire hill and city.

We stayd 2 nights at Tashi Tagey, Rude behaviour of the owner, and he will pick your pocket, we asked him a help to arrange a north sikkim tour, and he phoned a person then say 14000 for the private journey, one night tour. (shared tour is 10 ppl in a sumo van with Rs2500) and we dont get more time to enquire becoz only 2 days left in our vacation at Gangtok, the next day we know that its only 9000 for the one night tour.he picked 5000 from our pocket, you can get a good Innova @12000.and we saw three ppl came there after a long journey, and show him their booking details, the time was almost 10 O' clock, and he say checking time is at 12 pm, and we know all the rooms are empty there.they beg him for a room to become fresh but he Rudely denied their request.very unfriendly, he charged 400 rupees for the breakfast, the break fast is aloo parata or bread omlet, and fixed in three pieces only with a glass of coffee and a glass of water.he never serve extra drinking water on the table. BUT his Wife is very friendly behaviour. NEVER recommended This place.

Nice spacious clean cosy room. Feel like home. A quiet and beautiful home. It's more a home than a hotel. Most recommended.

We stayed here for around 6 days. I along with my parents enjoyed our stay here a lot. It felt like a second home.
Uncle and Aunty themselves take care of the hotel and keep it neat and clean. The interior is extremely well designed and custom decorated. The rooms are very good and the food prepared by aunty is excellent. It's home made food, very healthy and very tasty.
There is a beautiful garden on the terrace and it's well maintained.
The location of the hotel is very nice as well. All kinds of banks are there, food shops, stationery, daily need shops and even branded markets can be found.

We will never forget our stay here and will always be grateful for the hospitality extended towards us.

We are having wonderful stay at this hotel. Food is amazing. Care takers are very cordial, they helped us fixing taxi services to go around Gangtok.

I would rate 4.5 everyone is super helpful with great and quick services. Feels like staying at a family place.

Believe me, the 3.8 star does not justify the place. I have no complaints with the place. You get a cozy sweet and decorated stay with very homely and tasty food. What else one needs.

Best of all, and aunt's food is fabulous. Comfortable rooms with a love touch by them like a guest.

If you are looking for a home away from home in Sikkim, then this is the place you should stay.
Rooms are clean, spacious and very well maintained.
The owner and her wife cook extremely delicious food and are very sweet.
The main attraction is the roof garden that has lot of plants and flowers.
If you planning to do wfh from Sikkim, stay in this hotel and enjoy working from terrace with the awesome view of mountains and plants.

Tashi Tagey is an awesome choice for travelers. I am still here at the hotel as I write this. And no I am not related to the owners so this a fair review.

Though the hotel is a bit low on staff (none), this is a very good place to stay. Very economical too. I would strongly recommend this place.

Home stay facility, run by senior citizen couple. Good one for stay. Home food available, 5 km from main town.

Wonderful stay. Best view of Gangtok town and Himalayas from the beautifully maintained terrace. Food is amazing. Loved it.

The owners here (elderly couple) gave a pleasant hospitality clearly exceeding our expectations. Loved the simple food served. Located at a prime destination from MG marg.

The hotel is situated at Tadong approximately 4 km from MG Marg. Hotel is good well decorated. There are certain things which were missing like room service is not available round o clock, food in side the room is not available, the restaurant is available but choices are very limited.
The one thing I will definitely appreciate the roof top plantation which is really good and gives you peace when you sit with the plants. My suggestion is that the owner should emphasis on providing more staff for room service as well as for restaurant.

There is not much Hotel in Daragoan Tadong Gangtok and this hotel is in a perfect location which is here by 50 meter away from storage, waiting she'd. In this place you will found plenty of Chinese food like Thukpa, momo, and other vegetable and non vegetable items.

Uncle and Aunty were amazing! The place is so beautifully decorated. You'll spend an enormous amount of time looking at the paintings and photographs and figurines on the stairway and hallway! Nd when you do finally reach your room, youll take two deep breaths and crash into that soft soft bed.the room and especially the bathroom is beautifully decorated and cozy! And then you'll finally figure out that this place has a terrace. And what a beautiful terrace it is! Filled with bonsais, flags. You can spend hours there! The food was yum too though! What else is there to praise?

Hotel tashi tagay is one of the most convenient and good place to spend time with friends and family. It is located in gangtok Sikkim. Fooding and the hospitality is one of the most important factor they push. With pleasant weather and good humidity throu the year. Hotel tashi tagay is a place to visit. Each rooms are so focused and beautifully made. There are about 30,40 well trained and experienced staffs. Hotel tashi tagay also give one of the best views of wild Sikkim. Due to the renowned reputation the place is often visited by notable guests. Definitely one of the best hotel in Sikkim no doubt.

Just a decent place run by a family. Lady of the house is quite warm and friendly. Stayed only a night so didn't get a chance to sample their food.room was clean and comfortable enough. Some cons would be that it is really out of proper Gangtok or so to say Mall Rd. Also they have fairly strict timings - main door gets locked at say 10: 30 or so as this isn't a traditional hotel.

Amazing place. Hosts so kind and helpful. Amazing food and terrace garden with flags and bonsais. Can't recommend highly enough. Nima is a talented craftswoman and cook. Beautiful embroidery and knotting on display and for sale. She is happy to show you how she does it. An inspirational place to stay.

Good at price but not so good in cleanliness. Family run hotel and you cannot expect professional service.
