MG Market is like any other prime market in hill stations but quite different from as well. Its around 600 meters long pedestrian only walkway with market at either sides. Vehicles are not allowed. There are lots of novelty stores that sells decorative items like bells, buddha statues and items related to Sikkimese culture. At the middle of the pedestrian market, there are lots of decorative animal statues, mini garden and selfie points. The market is less noisy but still gives vibrant vibes. There are lots of Momo shops and bars around. Liquor are hotels are cheaper) Enjoy
The center of Gangtok. The main street, which is the busiest street, has many shops selling daily necessities, so it's more fun to walk on the road that runs perpendicular to it. There are many stylish cafes, souvenir shops and tea shops.
Mahatma gandhi market in Gangtok, Sikkim, It feels like any European city square, like Amsterdam, Brugge, Vibe is really nice in the evening, it's really clean, there are taxi drivers who charges you bomb if your hotel is downhill, try to negotiate with them or get a hotel where there is free shuttle to square
An awesome place with good night life. It became even more beautiful after a rain at night because of the reflections of chandeliers on the floor. Very busy at daytime. There are many benches to relax and also multiple garbage cans, that's why the place is very clean. Shopping is expensive. There are some dogs and pegions in the market too. The pegions just eat any lentils shop keepers give. The dogs are lazy as they just sleep there without disturbing anyone. The sight of red panda statue is very beautiful, especially at night. I can definitely say MG Marg is the most beautiful market in India, especially at night. But most shops close at around 8'o clock. They removed I GANGTOK sign and instead there is now a structure of G20 Summit and flags of countries. There's also a tall pole with flag of India near the statue of Mahatma Gandhi. It wasn't waving. Thw fountain was also not working most of the time.

Scintillating night appearance with abundant decorative posts, Benches for relaxation with hotels, Shopping malls, Food street. All make it a wonderful appearance as if we are in foreign country. Must visiting place especially during evening/night hours with family and kids, whilst if you ever are in Gangtok.
Loved the place.always buzzing with people. One of the prime locations of Gangtok for marketing, pubs and restaurants. Lots and lots of shop. Also nice arrangement of seats if you are tired of shopping.
This stretch of parallel shops harbors benches and plants that you can sit and watch the passersby come and go. Its very beautiful at night. This is one main shopping location in sikkim. You must try the food here. Especially the Taste of Tibet which is approximately 130 meters from the entrance to the right.
It's the main market in gangtok sikkim it is a must visit place if you're visiting gangtok.you can get every sort of thing here from a nail cutter to dress and restaurants are there from veg to non veg. And it is more beautiful at night.
Fantastic place in the heart of the Gangtok town. The place is just the same as the mall in Darjeeling or Simla, but j would say the ambience is even better. The place is littered with all types of shops from snacks to liquor, shoes to warm woollen caps. Spending and evening here doing shopping or taking snack bites and photographs is an absolute must if you visit Gangtok
A typical no vehicle street, main shopping area of city. Almost same as mall road of Shimla Manali. You can see many tourists and locals, sitting chatting eating and enjoying there. At the start there is a big temple on the side (post some stairs). Near entry and in between, there are 2 Mahatma Gandhi statues. It's a must visit place and you won't be disappointed at all
M. G Marg is the Hanging Out place, Moreover Gangtok's one of the most busiest place, other perks are the Local taxi drivers fares are higher with the time after 8, Some of the ATMs are left with no cash all time, as Sikkim is a Tax free state, so you should carry cash, Or ATMs won't help you out. Overall, M. G marg is a wonderful place to hang out and Chill pill.
Nice place to eat out and buy Chinese goods, it's and absolute myth that Chinese goods is of cheap quality, they might be cheap but quality is absolute best for the price, you'll find plenty of North India eatries and abundance of South indian ones easily
Good for durable goods like electronics, shoes, garments from branded companies are well available, which are of benefit to locals. As of marketing for the tourists who look for souvenirs are concerned, they are more expensive than other places of Gangtok.
(Mg marg) It's like a good market site.this is a shopping site for food dress shoe.commercial product are available.that's a good. I like.anybody like this.
Oooo loved the place. The best part is its a walking Plaza and even safe fr small to walk on the their own. Though gift shops r selling almost d same stuff and at same price but its nice n stuff is cute. The bakeries r really good. One must try 'roll shop' fr awsm Kathi rolls. N ofcourse OSM is a nice place to sit.
Lively market place with ample seating to hang out with friends and good restaurants. Most importantly it's a vehicle-free zone.which makes it convenient for pedestrians to shop peacefully. Only negative is that most shops and even restaurants shut down by 8.30-9 pm.
Happening place. Visit it in evening and you will enjoy there a lot. No vehicles allowed there, so it's fun to walk. Gandhi Statue on the one end of the road and big panda on other end of the road.
This place is one of the most visited place in Gangtok. It's well mentioned, neat & clean by the authority. There is various kind of so many shops. Normally it's open at 10.00 A. M.to 10.00 P. M.
