It was few years ago, I visited that mall with my friends and I really thought it is one of the place to spend quality time with kids, family and friends. But when last Sunday when we went with family, we couldn't stay there for more than 30mints and left immediately.
There were no AC, bathrooms were stinking, escalators were not working properly and nothing much in food court.
I think the mall should go for a complete revamp soon if not they will lose the business completely.
Is this even a mall? Literally no shops were and no ac at all. If you're renovating it close it down and do.why waste our time and energy saying it's open. Worst ever
May be small mall in Chennai with all facilities and famous food stall, clothing, play zone.theatres are very nice, seats are very comfortable, not much crowded compared to other malls.
It's waste visiting to Skywalk now. All shops are closed except few like barbecue Nation, KFC, etc. And PVR is open. It's waste to go there if planned to roam.
Went to Ampa recently, found the mall empty only two to three shops were open. Food court also only one eatery was open. Everything was shut, couldn't even spend 5 minutes.
Best place for college students and middle class people to spend time, things are not too costly, you can find most of the things here in a afford price, also most of the popular Indian clothing brands are here, mainly people come here to enjoying movies in PVR theatre and also to dine in Mc D and KFC. Westside and landmark is there to spend time for shopping
Hardly one or two outlets open per floor. Most of the stores are shut. Parking is empty. Only big Bazaar is pulling some crowd it seems. No maintenance. Once a happening place. A zombie mall now! Sad.
To reach by train, u have to get down at Nungambakam station, and a 10rs ride in share auto. Food court is decent n spacious, KFC n McD @ ground floor. Theatrical experience is awesome bcz of fine seatings, comfortable pushbacks, good sound quality.
An Ok feel mall amidst busy city roads of Chennai. Parking and their charging pattern is a concern, and they don't have any concession for the PVR theater viewers as well.
Good experience. As any other malls it has the same old exclusive business outlets and theatres. The theatre experience of PVR is good. The seats and customer service is good.
This is the mall which I frequent due to its proximity to my place.
I have gone there for shopping. I have celebrated New Year couple of times there. I have also celebrated my wedding day & birth day here.
There parking system is little bit complicated. We were lost once
The place offers variety of entertainment including PVR multiplex, video game hub, scary house, food court, various brand’s shops which you would enjoy for sure
Though PVR has opened two new outlets in velachery grand mall and pallavaram, PVR in Sky walk remains the best in-terms of quality and number of screens (9 screens). AUDI-03 in PVR sky walk has the largest seating capacity and biggest screen among all other PVR theatres in chennai. But spi/sathyam cinemas has slighter higher edge in sound and video quality especially for 3D movies. Snacks cost is lower than Sathyam cinemas and but less tastier. Car parking is charged around 30 rs for 1 hour. The theatre is maintained neat and tidy. Tickets can be booked though both bookmyshow and Ticketnew apps/sites. Overall this is my second option to watch movies if i dont get tickets in spi cinemas. Theatre situated in two places in chennai and located in malls. Security, cleanliness, seating, viewing, sound effects all get 10/10. Snacks u may drain ur cash quite bit. Book online little speedy and paperless. They offer free water. 3 front rows cost Rs. 11.00 worth the money. All language Movies will be in higher will be local language. We visit 2 weeks once. Place is all good. It's a perfect spot for cinemas. The area is very good with good view but the price here is bit high. But sure worth it. Cool cinemas located in third floor of THE GRAND MALL. Cinema entrance was mild lighted, food stall - popcorn, pastas and cake. Cinemas hall with 15 rows - 20 seats each. Ticket cost at Rs. 120 for classic. Reasonable place with basement car parking
Mall name alone s good but all aged staff services are bad restroom are always smelling bad no proper placement of shops no one actually helps in mall Many shops closed down only some brands are left here Mall is running only cause of PVR N Westside Rest parking is very bad no proper direction 365 days construction works here Not so pleasant
Ambience is good.variety of shopping and entertainment options are there.decent food court.but something really exciting to attract visitors is lacking
I always go to skywalk with my friend and after a 1 year I come with my frnd to skywalk and still we feel the same, good time in skywalk and we feel as little younger here. Nice place to spend time and we also played net cricket in second floor (I think so), that was really a good time for us.
Nice mall, Good movie experience, High class brand store, Nice Location, Very peacefull, Great to shoot photos. Lots of shops with good designs, great for kids shopping. The food court was nice with plenty of choice.
The mall is situated at a main place. It is quite a small mall but it has everything a mall should have. The play area and food court are small but they are good.
A good place for buying electronic gadgets. And the best part is it's has PVR. The food court and the restaurants r decent enough. Otherwise it's just like every other mall.it's a bad choice if u looking forward to buy clothes
A small mall situated on the main road. From the outside it looks like it’s under construction, but was informed that it was about 8 yrs old. The food court is good, with lots of choices. There is also a play area for kids and a PVR. McDonald’s and KFC are there on the ground floor. Not a very big mall and was not crowded on a weekend. There is a good liquor shop on the ground floor.
One of the worst mall in Chennai, poor engineering and planning. No proper signage inside the mall to reach the parking. Worst food court and movie experience
Nice good place. Enjoy shopping if looking out for branded items. As usual like all malls costly. Nice good multiplexes. Food court etc. Any body would enjoy the ambiance.
This place is good for cinemas and food. Few branded stores are also available. The place feels lil old for a mall building. The location and reach to this place is easy and convincing. But newer malls have overcome now i feel.
The AMPA SKYWALK Mall is a fittest place to enjoy the week ends with family and friends. Though it will be crowded it's a joy wading through the different kinds of people.
Decent mall for shopping in and near Aminjikarai. There's nothing much to complain or to praise. PVR in Ampa Skywalk is designed really well and serves it's purpose well enough.
Ampa skywalk is one of the best shopping mall in chennai located a Nungambakkam.the crowdy mall at every day.it have everyghing you want like cloth shopping, gadgets, super market as well as fruits all cosmetic products one stop for shopping.best place to visit with family.it have cinema complex also and its good and very comfortable for any class people.
Experience is quite bad. The spencers inside is closed. Washrooms are in pathetic state and stinks badly. The quality of the place has gone down in last couple of years.
A good shopping mall in Chennai. Ampa Skywalk is a shopping mall in Chennai, India. With three floors of retail space, it has outlets for major clothing and apparel brands, a seven-screen multiplex, a games zone and a food court. It has all the major national and international brands.
