Don't know why it has good reviews. Place is small and always crowded. Food is cold and have to wait atleast 30mins for everything from ordering to getting a seat.
I used to actually like Bird on Tree. But the quality of the place (ambience-wise) has dipped significantly since the first couple of times I’ve been there (probably 2019) — when I was actually impressed with the place (maybe you’re easily impressed when you’re younger?). I went back in Dec, 2023 — and, boy, did I find the place a tad gross (although the food was fine). It clearly needs better maintenance and better upkeep. To iterate, the food was good (bordering on great), but the ambience disappointed. Not the “fine dining” I expected: (
The manager had the audacity to tell us that in 'fish and chips', the chips are not a main part of the dish but are just complementary. Now for a place designated as 'fine dining', little things like that can be quite disappointing! Either don't have in the menu what you don’t know about, or educate yourself about it before placing it there. Better still, stick to selling dishes you understand. Fooling gullible customers in the name of 'fine dining' and charging huge bucks is daylight robbery. God knows how many customers they had fooled with their idiotic justifications! Well you can't sell sour mangoes twice!
Ours could be a rare poor experience at this place, but we found the food to be bland, not tasty, oily and non-enjoyable. We ate because we were hungry and didn’t want to spend anymore time hunting down another place.
I feel even going to a tiffin centre to have idli or dosa would have been a better experience.
We had the Guntur Kara chicken, egg roast (which was not really roasted in any way - and tasted the same as the Guntur Chicken) and the worst dish was the Hyd biryani (it’s our fault for ordering this).
The best experience at this place was with the watchman - who was the most friendly and helpful of the lot (including the waiters and the captain).
We would certainly never visit this place again or recommend it to anyone we know.
Kids liked the dragon chicken and fish fingers. Pasta and Au gratin was also nice. They have a big menu.service was quick. Pricing was ok since it is a fine dining restaurant. My kind advice.please keep a QR code to scan the menu or keep a hard copy of the menu. Guys how much is that going to cost! Giving my number to an unknown person just for getting the menu is like throwing away my privacy. I saw many reviews quoting this.but surprised to see there was no response to those feedback. I had to give one star less just for this.hope they do something for this.
Love the food here! Been trying new dishes every time I go here and they never fail with any dishes! Definitely one of the best fine dining in Coimbatore!
Excellent food. The location is good. The order taker was helpful with suggestions. The servers and the clearance boys needs a little more training. Overall a good place to eat with family.
But the wait time was way too long. The starters and main course was delivered at the same time - 45 minutes late. The dessert took 30 minutes to be delivered. The staff took way too long to wait on us as well as to bring the food.
Ambience wise it's a must visit place. Quiet and greeny ambience. We ordered a crispy lamb in mint chilly sauce which was normal and average, 2. Murgh platter - too pricey for the portion they served and tasted too ordinary, 3.chicken au gratin - taste wise good but soupy consistency with toasted bread 4. Chicken sizzler was superb with veggies and the sauce was so good. Overall the portion size can be improved and tikkas has to be served piping hot.
This place is very good for family dining. Has multi cuisine options. But continental is quite mentionable. The ambience is pretty cozy. And the food is all worth it!
Edit#1: I visited this place a month later and found all staff wearing mask properly and so bumping up a start and I wish they maintain the same and provide better parking as well for everyone. Original: The food is as usual amazing and probably the best in coimbatore. However, the service can be so much better for the price. The manager does not wear Covid masks and engages in table pushing for people who come first to less used tables. Some table waiters are amazing and v caring while d others are not, needs more service focus for this pricing.
Ambience and food are good. To be specific Chinese and Continental food are good, but north indian bread items like rotis, naan, kulcha are average. Felt pricy compared to other restaurants of same range in the region.
Beautiful cozy place:) located in the heart of the city, race course. The ambience is lovely, you'll get to relax and enjoy the beauty of the nature. Overall the food and service was great.
It's a good place going on a lunch / dinner with family and friends. The ambience is great. You have both the indoor and outdoor seating arrangement. You also get some amazing desserts as well
Nice place to hangout. Had a good ambience. But the price was just so high for a simple dish also. We 3 went for lunch.and bill came around 2900. Taste was also average only
Located in a calm and quiet neighborhood. The place had a nice ambience, but we were asked to park outside. The waiters were patient enough to explain each dish and the service time was good. Appetizers were delicious, and the quantity is good for two people. The food was good, but it definitely can be improved overall!
This place is a bit on the costlier side but worth your money. Their fish on fire and jawa chicken lollypop are my favourite. They have chicken dosa but they don't offer you any chutney. They have place to sit inside, outside and in the first floor.

Will have to park the car on the road. The ambiance is good with bird's chirping BGM. Covid protocol is being followed & is hygienic. It will cost around 800 per person for lunch. Try BOT special chocolate Mousse.
Though in centre location is in a calm nice place. Setup is true to its name Bird on tree. Most importantly food taste is awesome. Been there thrice now in 2 weeks and tried different food and all tasted good and no disappointments.
Visited this place on a Saturday evening around 7 and it was sparsely crowded. Took a table on top floor and really loved the ambience. Food and service is good. Might seem little heavy on the pocket but the ambience makes it worth.
Great place! Both indoor and outdoor dining available. Good food and pleasant ambiance. Must try the mud pie with ice cream. Menu offers three different cuisines. Chinese, North Indian, continental also Southern. Bit pricey but overall a good food experience!
First time i went was for surprising a frd of my frd on his b'day. Pur and decent Privacy was the firstirst feel i had when i entered. Staff's are friendly.hav good parking space.a pleasant and mind comforting calm spot in the middle of noisy Coimbatore roads.u won't regret taking the turn to Bird On Tree when u r stressed, exhausted. No turn to Bird on Tree is a wrong turn.have a happy life.
Visited on 23 Feb 21 for Lunch. Taste of the starter dishes was excellent I ordered Prawn and Murg tikka biryani, not up to the mark (slightly disappointed). Sizzlers and carrot halwa was superb. Very spacious surroundings, so my kids had really good time. They are maintaining different varieties of birds. Felt like having lunch in a natural /lively environment with those chirping bird sounds and plantation. Cost wise, the dishes are tooo expensive.
Bird on a tree is one of Coimbatore's finest restaurants, with a lot to offer to satisfy all your cravings. Specialising in South & North Indian food, along with some continental and Chinese, Bird on tree surely has something for all. With ample indoor and outdoor seating, it's a great stop for a meal with your family or some quality time with your friends. The food portions here are also very satisfying and service is on point. Must tries from my end are their range of tikkas and kebabs to kick start your meal, edging into some Augratin and rice for your main course, with a closing of their classic Mud Pie. Cost for two is INR 1500/-
The very first time I visited we encountered and head to deal with a very disrespectful waiter. Add to that the food was only mediocre. Seems like yet another good property being ruined by poor management.
Worst service we booked previously they didnot told prevoiusly that there is no discount for government holiday theysaid there will be discount but after travelling from tirupur they were not ready to give discount on 1st may they did not book name on register also they are telling before one day they have decided not to keep discount on may 1 but they didnot inform us by calling worst response by manager Mr Prabhu.suggested not to go to that hotel
Food not tat much taste. And in summer those people using only 2 standing air cooler for a big room and more they off one if tat air cooler covering area table is vacant. Price is too high. Tables are neat nd clean.
First of all i like the Ambiance of the hotel. Food is bit much costly and tastes good. They provide 50% off on lunch from 12.00 - 3.00 pm (only on weekdays). Usually it takes 20 mins to prepare the food and reaches ur table. *Dhabaa chicken, prawn, chocolate nan, chicken tikka, etc.these are the items which tastes far beyond my expectation.really good. *Non - veg lovers should visit this place atleast once.
A very smart and well organised restaurant! They really define what is Space management! Loved the Food, good varieties available. Taste was very good and felt delighted with the Presentation of Food!
This is our second visit and to celebrate a birthday party. The restaurant guys totally collapsed the mood for the moment due to their paethetic service. We stayed there for nearly 3.5 hrs to finish our dinner. Do you guys think we don't have work or you guys do it for charity? If you don't have manpower then why you take table bookings. We can't lose our happy time for your greediness.
Worst response from the staffs.causal approach.least bothered abt the customer. Hate the place for the way they behaved today. Won't ever will think to go to this place In future. I have shared to all my friends abt the way they treat the customer.worst place to be.no respect at all.
The ambiance and the location is too nice. Good place to have team lunch or family get together. Escpecially "Crispy Veg in cashew Chilli Sauce" a must try dish for vegens. 50% off during weekdays from 12pm to 2.30 pm
Food quality and taste was too good. There could be no dish that was bad in taste. Creamy soup and Alfredo pasta recipes were ultimate. Price can be framed low! Good food Good place!
Hotel looks good. Food taste is very good. Decent family restaurant. However the service is very poor. They need to have more people for faster service. Seating capacity is somewhat less.
Food tastes good and nice ambiance. Slightly overpriced but happy hours offer is great. Huge variety of starters and loved the way they served. Overall good.
I was dissapoint i went for my birthday with my family and the food was not really good the biriyani was like sand otherwise the lemon mint juice was awsome
The ambiance was good. You could take a place in outdoor too. The food is good but I felt it to be costlier for the quantity they serve. Soup was okay. Chicken and fish starters were good. If you don't bother about cost and want a good ambiance would definitely recommend here
The waiters could have served better. They need to repeat the order. We ended up eating what we were discussing about and didn't get what we wanted. Otherwise, the restaurant has a wonderful ambience!
We had the worst experience in this restaurant. Please never ever visit and don't suggest anybody. Worst hospitality. They are not bothered about customers satisfaction.
