I had a very bad experience at this hotel. Its room barhroom bed everything was dirty. Even the bucket provided was so ugly looking that you cannot use. Should not stay in this hotel.

This hotel was very dirty and under maintenance.
Very old building.
No facility.
Lodges are better than this hotel.
I can’t understand why I booked this hotel.

Poor service, rooms & food. Good property need to maintain the property improve the staff quality. All the staffs in this property are not friendly behavior in lethargic way.

- Rooms are little shabby and old.
- But good treatment by people. Very warm welcome and hospitality.

- Walkable from Railway station.
- Food is good but expensive.

One of the best restaurants in Madurai. The quality of the food is really good. Moreover the ambiance of the hotel is excellent. Just like cabin division where four can sit.

The taste of the food is good. The restaurant is just behind the Kudal Alagar Perumal Temple. You have the parking facility. Good place to hangout with friends and family.

Recently I visited the hotel Very poor maintenance by the hotel management and very unhygienic conditions prevailing in the hotel rooms and there was dust all over the room Cracks on the wall and unhygienic bathroom

Value for money. Good service, bed, clean bathrooms. Working lift. Not a recently built property, so one can't compare it with modern ones. Center of city - great location.

We visited the restaurant at this hotel. Very tasty food is provided. The service is beyond expectation from the staff.

Pricing was Absolutely Decent.
But maintenance of Banquet hall appears to be Haunted & detached from real world.
We left the place with double minds but luckily we went to book some other place for our family function.

Old property. Not maintained. But located near Koodal Alagar perumal kovil. Very close to Madurai periar bus stand.

Ok. Buiding appearence and rooms, reception and restaurant are excellent. But bathroom maintenance is not cared. It should be taken care.

Room ambiance to be improved.being temple city people tend to wake up early and hot water to be provided at the earliest. As more family comes to stay liquor consumption can be avoided

Hotel Aarathy is on the West Vadampokki street. One disadvantage is the hotel is not visible from the road as it is tucked inside a lane and is at the back side of the Koodal Alagar temple. However, there is ample space for parking vehicles. The ambience inside the hotel is good and the tarrif is reasonable. Many side dishes are served along with meals and the cost is Rs. 110/-.

Please do not stay at this hotel. My recent stay was horrible. Bed bugs in almost all the rooms.
They changed three rooms from 10 pm till 12 midnight. It was a nightmare.

Horrible place to stay.
Unhygienic in general, moist bed sheets/duvets and linen, unclean rooms and toilet, very old building, unfriendly staff including security at the gate and receptionist, parking is difficult with limited space and with rudeness of security person.
A/C didn’t have a remote and fan speed couldn’t be controlled.

Didn’t try food but wouldn’t want to visit this place ever again.

Nice place to stay but before choosing room one should confirm the charges because I was told Rs 650/- (single room) for single day stay but alloted me double room and charged Rs750/-while check out I didn't argue since I was busy leaving.and there was also no hot water in the morning.have to improve service.have parking area and have a restaurant also which is good.

This my favorite hotel, I've visited this from my childhood days. Very authentic South Indian restaurant, every time when I visit koodal azhagar perumal temple or during chitira car festival I used to visit this place for my appetite. Taste ambience remains the same even the waiters, authentic.

The very worst hotel in entire town.we took 3 rooms in single day, 1st room was 202, where water started to drop from air conditioner, they gave 211, where rooms were occupied with bed bugs, by 12 midnight room changed to 210, where both water dripping and bed bugs are full.no discount and the receptionist was the worst guy I have ever spoken.throw ur money on road than paying to them.

Horrible. If you are the kind of people who enjoy hunting and adventure then this is a perfect please to stay. We spent the entire night killing bed bugs. My score for tonight is 12 kills. Hats off to the management who would look for any chance to ask for tip. I guess this could be the number one worst hotel in madurai

Good changes are being done by hotel management recently. Bad condition beds are changed, room service is improving and good response to the customers.

The cons of Madurai is lack of decent hotels for a good stay. You can't find good hotel within Madurai at all. This hotel looks fine. But night stay will be a nightmare. You will have the company of bedbugs although the night. They don't like you sleeping. And leave their company all over your body.

You have spacious parking, a decent restaurant that offers South Indian meals and breakfast.

Ok rooms needs cleaning.check for ac whether it's working. Front office team claims it is working. But you would be shocked. Only blower work in The ac unit.

Very helpful when in need, maintenance could be more taken care of. Food and service was very good. Thank you

Oldest and renowned hotel but lack it's charisma now!

The restaurant here was surprisingly good. It isn't noticeable from outside, doesn't have much crowd. But the food was pretty good, nice taste. Pricing is very much same like similar mid sized restaurants. Surely worth the try

I just went there for a coffee. During my visits prior to my retirement I stayed there many times & found it was a good place for business or staying with your family. Even now it is a good place. Centrally located. Near the railway junction, temples. Restaurant is very good.

The hotel food is good and tasty. We go often to this place. The ambience is good. Staffs are old but remember us always

Delicious food. Not so crowded. You can enjoy your food calmly and they are cheap too, servers are mostly aged peoples and you can give them a second life if you come and have food at this place.we have been going to this hotel since 30 years. There is a open space too for having food during dinner.

An old hotel running with its olden days 'srepute. Air conditioners are not functioning properly. Even there are no plug points (other than for tv) for mobile chargings. Laboratories are horrible. The paints on the inner walls came out at several places. Even the beds are with bugs. The hotel needs immediate renovation

Not the best hotel for the cost paid. Might be management need to think of refurbish the place. Rooms and toilets are not so clean and tooo old.

Tasty vegetarian food, limited parking for two and four wheelers. Ideally located in the heart of Madurai city. Reasonably priced. May visit with family

We tried here for South Indian meals, the food here was not great as expected. They can do much better with bringing new varieties of vegetables

This place used to have its charm. But lately, the maintenance of the place is bad. Damp walls, worn off paint, broken fittings makes the prices look unworthy. They have parking space available for only a handful of cars. Move it and you lose it. The staff also are quite pestering when it comes to tips.

All in all, the place has dropped to two stars, which is its actual hotel rating

The AC rooms were clean and quite spacious. Overall the hotel was very clean and hygienic. Staff was great but they understood only tamil and english. The restaurant's food was delicious. Lassi and tea are a must try.

Oh no.should i call this a hotel.really horrible experience. We had booked through agent " Happy tour and travels and BABA tour and travels (near madurai railway station) " with a good review but get surprised when entered in the room. I am attaching photos, hope my review will give you safe stay.
