Food is not up to mark even though which costs high. The order takers are so unattentive and service feels bad for me.

Got a Chicken piece while eating Egg Kizhi Parotta today. And the staff tried to bury the incident.

Today we buy 3 parcel onam special food. But you not included Theeyal item. Onam special food not worth for Rs. 2550. We expecting more taste for Kerala food.

First time trying karela style food, I don't like it maybe I am not used to it overall it is quite nice

Traditional kerala style food. Aapam, puttu, kappa, idiyappam and side dishes were available with the combination of both veg and non veg

At present I belive this restaurant is not maintained properly. This reflect from the ambiance to the service to the quantity of food.

Food taste is good. Especially prawns ularth, appam and kerala porotta. Beef was not up to the mark. To find a place to park is quite difficult.

This place serves state food. The staff is lethargic too and doesn’t care if the customer complains.

My preferred restaurant for authentic Kerala style meals and Kari meen, Kappa + Fish Curry. This time it was less crowded. The service was perfect as always. Biriyani was slightly spicy due to unusual mix of cloves. Ada pradhaman was amazing. Fantastic Kari Meen. Beef was.

One of the worst attitude restaurants in chennai. The quality of food has gone completely down. Look at the curd rice served.avoid this place guys. The guy in the pic Akhil says this is the standards we have, no mask, no clean drinking glasses, no quality of food, but charges are like a professional restaurant.

Loved it, always did. Food is just toooo yummy. Price is extremely reasonable. Worth minimum a visit every fortnight.

Nothing to be mentioned here when you all might already know Kumarakom is one of the best we have in Chennai for Kerala food.
Their fish and beef items are out marked by any restaurant in Chennai. Karimeen tawa fry, kappa with fish curry, beef roast are their must try items.

Food was okay,
I ordered ghee rice, but got it like a pulao/North Indian style with long rice,
The fish curry had a bit more of tamarind and it had a bitter after-taste.

Most importantly, the restaurant was warm inside (no air-conditioning) and couldn't enjoy my meal as expected. May be my expectation was high or wrong.

Good was great! Veg Meals was good and it was not expensive too. And prices were really nominal. Worth for the money. Place was clean and neat too.

We had the traditional meal, tasted good. Not sure if it is due to the Covid restrictions, service was slow and poor communication.

Karimeen polichathu was inconsistent. Somehow did not taste the way it used to regularly taste.

Still rating them better as I believe this was just a one off experience

I have ordered their onam sadhya after seeing all the hypes on the internet, but it is a waste of money. They gave spoiled rice in the package.and no action has been taken care by them till now even after complaining to their branch Manager Mr Vinoth and its very surprising to see that he is irresponsible and least bothered to pay attention

Such a nasty experience ever on the auspicious day. Their employees look so shabby and pathetic cleanliness maintained. So be alert and do not waste your money, adding photos for your reference.

Ordered appam and egg roast. Tasty but expensive. Egg roast costs 150 and appam 28 INR. Idk whether the price is reasonable, but for me it was somewhat expensive.

Stale food. I ordered beef dish through Swiggy and they sent me stale smelly food. I called the restaurant and they were like food here is good. Quite possible, may be the left over food from yesterday got over with my delivery. This has happened before too. Not cool at all.

Ambience is good. Courtegeous staffs. Clean tables. Then what's wrong. Wait. Wait. The dish. Really pathetic almost on all items that we have ordered. Kili paratta is worst and even one can get a good quality in a roadside shop itself. The appam that they served is worst of its kind and the batter was outdated and not fit to eat. The chicken pieces are exact replacement of rubber. Overall worst experience. Never visit this place if you want to taste quality food.

It is located in Kodambakkam High road in the Nungambakkam area. Opposite to KFC and brside the Cake shop. They have parking in the front space of the restaurant. A very quiet, decent place with good interior. Wooden table and chairs, dim lights, souvenir, tried to give a Kerela touch as the name of the restaurant suggests. The only drawback is the Restroom. It can be much better with proper doors and hygiene protocols. Disappointed.
Let's come to food part. Serves Kerelian cuisine. So if u love food cooked in kerelian style then do visit this place. They have many options in the menu card,
I chose to have 1. Puttu with chicken curry. It was so tasty food served. Puttu was so fresh and hot. Even the chicken gravy was yummy. Recommend to try this combo.
2. Fish Tawa Fry. They have a size cart along with prices. Fish was fresh and juicy. It was prepared perfectly with good amount of spices.
Very reasonable price with good food quality and quantity. I enjoyed the place.

Lighting are not like other Restaurants. Why they are keeping small yellow bulbs. It is for only Bars. Food is OK

Ordered food through swiggy, Karimeen Pollichathu, literally the fish they provided for the cost they charged weren't matching, for such a small fish, which was spice-less, salt-less, they charged 500/-.
I am still wondering whether they sent the proper item. Basically, its expensive and cost they provide is way too much.

Many times I ordered through Swiggy app. This time the worst food I get 'Beaf ularthiyathu' From Nungambakkam. It is old food. They remake and give. Bad experience

I have had meals before howver now thinhs are a little different. Food i would rate below average. We order fish curry, chicken masala, uppams and somethng in veg overall rating below average. And yes whatever we wantex to eat was not availble.

Paratto with Beef Fry should be the good combination. Fish is not good. Price vs Product positioned too costly because of name. Reducing prize may attract more consumers.

Nice place for Kerala food. Parotta & Appam is very good. Speciality is non-veg items. Lots of items available. The ambience also is nice.

Not a authentic kerla, seems Chinese mixed, and morucurry which smells bad and I asked they said it's normal only and saying nobody complainted before, actually I was the first person who entered on that day then how can other complaints about this, and ordered fish fry it looks like Marina beach side u will find those type of fish fry with bright red colour, again it's not a Kerala style, simply waste

They don't have much options for Vegetarians. Typical Kerala style non veg food available. Very famous for back water fish curry.

This place needs big lift in cleanliness and hygiene. Taste is very ordinary. Not the same as it used to be a few years ago.

I have very fond memories of this restaurant. We ie, me and my hubby met here for the first time.but it has lot its sheen.only beef fry and parotta was worth eating. Biriyani dint have the taste or smell of our Kerala Naadan style.

Authentic Kerala food available here. Though most of Malayali servers have left and only Buhari's and manipuris now serves still food is good as well the restaurant is renovated and nearly maintained. Karimeen pollichchatu is the special here as well Kerala Calicut poratta are famous dishes here.

Kumarakom Nungambakkam was a good restaurant, but now it is one of the worst, the quality of food is very low, specially the fish items, it is all old stock. We (2 people) had lunch on 22/02/2019 and ordered "Ayala fry, " but the fish they served was at least 1 week old, it was deep freezed and the taste was horrible and they charged Rs. 150 per pc.
Try to avoid non veg items from this hotel. It not a Kerala hotel any more, not even 1 staff from Kerala is there.
I am a foodie, and I will not recommend this hotel to any one.

Anna nagar Kumarakom best. In nungambakom Kumarakom very bad for Lunch. In kerala meals No pickles, No fish gravy, no payasam, no pachamoru. Fishfry they use chicken masala. Not tasty. So guys for lunch please avoid Nungambakkom kumarakom. Anna nagar lunch awesome

The best place to have kerala food in chennai. You may find it a bit costly sometimes but iys value for money. Neat and traditional food. Qualitu service and best environment.

Nice place to meet for food with group, where you can get tasty Kerala type foods, including beef.
