Not a great food, it's a average overhyped restaurant.
Definitely a one time bucket list place else avoid.

Moving from Pimple Saudagar to Hinjewadi, Pune, was made easy by their commitment to their customers' happiness, a fantastic team, and a well-organized moving process. Worst service for any meals restaurants. Firstly they don't have non veg meals. You have to order them separately and quantity is less. Secondly they are not proactive in serving at all. Everything has to be asked twice or thrice. Buttermilk they just refused to provide. Avoid at all costs

Little difficult to reach, no parking. Other than that the place is wonderful. Fish curry was wonderful. Mutton curry had little too much of coconut, though different taste. Quantity of Mutton Chukka and liver is very less for price. Taste is good. Overall exciting experience

Absolute waste of money. Meals you get one curry and a fry. Please do try other restaurants near by.

Very average taste of food. They have given very small quantity of kolambu for rice. If we need additional quantity we need to buy kolambu. That kootu, poriyal was totally disaster. Biriyani also very small quantity and quality and taste. Simply waste.

If you go here please try their crispy vanjaram fry. The fish meals are very nice too and never feel stuffy after eating. The crispy Vanjaram is the best and you must order 2!

One would not come across this place if you are a tourist and do not research. The place is inside an ally and a bit hard to find without knowing about it before. I had my dinner there around 7 PM. Options available were Non Veg Meal (Unlimited Rice and Curry and vegetable dishes) or Tiffin Meals (Dosa, uttapa, Idli etc). Chicken, Fish and Mutton dishes could be ordered as seperate side dishes. These side dishes are on day basis i think, but I am not sure. Taste was really good. Placed look hygienic and clean. Staff was helpful and service was quick. 2 people meal cost me 735 INR. Overall a good experience.

Great food but I felt it was way too expensive for me. We had the meals along with fish curry, fish fry and mutton sukka. The meals was just like any other place. Nothing too good about it. The fish fry was too good and was charged 210 per piece. We ended up paying approximately 1350 for 4 of us. I feel it is worth visiting once. Good luck!

Very good food but slightly expensive as we ended up paying for the meals as well. Fish fry, prawns, chicken, mutton biryani everything we tasted was very good.

Went there for lunch and it was absolutely not worth the visit. The food served was a subsidised version of what they serve at normal restaurants, while the price is too high. They served fish curry meals, which had a watery fish curry and 2 other side dishes. They charged separately for the meals and the fish curry which is just outrageous. The other order was a fishy fry which had the thickness of a blade. I do not understand why the place is this popular.

I am a regular at Nair mess. They serve quality food that are delicious. The employees are friendly and attentive. The price is very reasonable too. The only con is that their menu is limited. But I don't mind it as long as they serve good food.

Not worth your money. Just hype dont go for it.
You stomach will feel bloated after eating this place's meals.

Coming to their gravies tasted below average and the side dishes over priced for the portion amd tatste.

Their ambience will be crowded all time does'nt know how people fall far these kind of place which was good once but not now.

I got stomach pain after had lunch in this hotel. In Mutton kuzhambu they used cocunut and coconut oil. That day fish was not good.

Amazing food! Portions are a bit small for the price. However, it's a must visit place for any foodie. Fish Fry is not just their best dish, it's perhaps the best in town. Prawn Fry, Sura Puttu, Fish Curry, even the humble omelette is awesome. While I don't eat mutton, I've heard it's really good.

After going through many review, I went there, it was not as Expected, they using too much of coconut and coconut oil. Taste is not that much good.

Amazing sea food. Simple but tasty. Beautifully served on banana leaf. Will recommend to go for meals than ala carte. Prawns is a must try dish.

Ordinary food for vegetarians. Ambience& approach is also very average. Located in a narrow lane surrounded by residences & car paint garage.

Biryani taste was moderate, but fish gravy and vanjaram fish fry was good and price is also moderate. Overall a good place to visit

Was eager to try this place for long time.
Today could taste thier mutton Biryani and Vanjaram fish fry. Fish fry was simply superb, thin slice, perfect masala and was fresh. Mutton Biryani was ok but not so great. Mutton gravy tasted good but too much salty.
Car parking would be nearly impossible inside that Street. Bike parking would be possible.

Price for fish fry 220/₹ worth it.
But mutton Biryani just small two pieces and rice quantity also was less.

Service can be improved, since they are established and etched thier brand may they don't want to focus on that part

A very old aged place but the taste remains intact. Delicious meals which tickle our palate. The fish fry, fish curry, the prawn tokku was mouth watering. A recommended place for a sumptuous meal.

Homely meals with mouth watering mutton, prawns anf Seer fish home style preparation.
No heaviness after meals which you experience otherwise to prove that right oil and measured use of masalas make it an happening place for lunch.

Wonderful place tor family dining. They would serve quality biryani and vanjiram fish fry. You have to be there before 1 pm. Mess closes by 3 pm. If you are late you would not get desired items.

Although food was great and hygienic specially their fish fry but little overpriced there. Normal rice and curry were also good and free. ₹400-600 for one person

Coconut oil Omelet is always tasty.and Vanjaram Fish fry also very good taste. But mutton and chicken is average tast only.and much expensive.

Worst food and worst service. They forcefully giving water bottles instead of normal water. Quantity and quality of food is very bad. Not even a single star. We saw the more positive reviews in this hotel.so only we went. But it was opposite to us.

One of the best place to have lunch in chennai. The taste hasn't changed and maintain their quality in a very consistent manner. Must try is their Mutton kozambu vanjaram fry. The place got renovated few years back. They serve food quickly as well. They place will be jam packed between 1-2. Covid protocol is strictly followed all d server wear mask all the time.

Just the name only. Not a Kerela restaurant. Location wrong. Food quantity very very less, as if they are feeding a parrot.

Its a good place and very crowded one. We had nv meal (fish curry), fish fry and mutton biriyani.
Meal - (rasam, curd, fish curry, kuttu, pickle) it was good but they can give us some more variety
Fish fry- was okay not soo nice
Mutton biryani- good
Overall didn't meet my expectation but it was nice but can't give 5 star.

Vanjira fish is as thin as beetle leaf, overly priced place, the shark is served like minced meat, too expensive. Dont fall for it try better places

Awesome lunch/dinner food. Hotel is AC/Non AC both. You'll get mandatory veggies on your banana leaf, you can order non veg dishes which are awesome like Fish, mutton, chicken. Best food experience!

This was my Second visit after 8 years and it has changed a lot.
Renovated and looks good but there is no information/menu for first timers.
Servers are well mannered and Orally give you the menu but in the chaos of Popularity they bring you every other dish to try even if u don't order it Incase your senses want them after you look at them.

The Menu is simple they have standard Meals which are mash up of Kerala or Chettinadu cuisine. That's INR 95

You can order Chicken/Mutton/Fish curry in a small bowl and can request them to give extra too. That's around INR 95

Or thick masala Prawn too which we didn't try

You can add Fish fry for 200 and an Omelette.

You got Chicken and mutton Biriyani.

Tasty food and awesome new decor but the quantity of sides are so less in other words it's expensive for the serving.
This old classic is situated in a not so good narrow road. No parking nearby.

My suggestion is to increase quantity/servings.

Put a menu board even if it's limited menu and make your servers to inform the same and accommodate the guests

Firstly this is not a Kerala style restaurant contrary to what is implied by other reviews. We went during the lunch time (around 1: 00pm), only meals and mutton Biriyani was available. As there was no variety we were forced to order meals. We ordered mutton curry, fish curry, fish fry and egg omlett as extras. All the extras or specials were tasty, especially the fish fry, but none of it justifies its huge price. The meal by itself was not tasty. The staff seemed not to be bothered about the customers, they were only interested in taking orders for extras and specials.

Traditional Kerala food both veg and non vegetarian. Lunch is served in banana leaf in the traditional way. Food preparation is done in hygienic condition. Coconut oil is used for cooking. Fish fry, Omlet etc are prepared in coconut oil. Non veg preparation in Kerala style is the attractions.

Service area is also clean n well maintained. Week days heavy rush can be expected. Compared to the quality and standards, the charges are reasonable. It's not a conventional mess run by a family, but a A class restaurant run in a professional way.
