This is one of the best places in TN for veg and non veg meals. The fish fry was very tasty and is a must try if you're going for fish meals.
Overall good place with good service. Service is clean but difficult to find parking. Value for money is 10/10.

Ordered Nattu Kozhi biriyani, but it was spoiled.
Even previous comments say that they have been served with spoiled N. Kozhi. Today
(3-Sep-23) also faced same.

I think they intentionally serve spoiled food since the hotel management is not concerned about it.

Food is good but not that it tastes as the one in pondicherry. Poor parking availability, need to park ur car in roads. Much waiting time during weekends.

Planned to go yaa mohaideen hotel instead of that visited this place but worst experience.

Base is Kushka biriyani served with mutton or chicken separately. Taste is not good. Not worth in spending your money for biriyani.

Horrible biriyani. Ordered for mutton biriyani.butbtgey served only bone with rice naming mutton jeeraga Samba biriyani. Even taste was horrible. Almost they change rs 300 for this pathetic food named biriyani. Ya moideen old shop offers better biriyani @ lesser price. Pls avoid this Pattukottai Kamatchi mess. Suggest star biriyani for people who prefer jeeraga Samba biriyani

I ordered chicken biryani but the price is very high and the quantity is not enough for the single person. கோயில் பிரசாதம் கொடுக்க தொனியில்தான் பிரியாணி கொடுத்தாங்க அப்போ அதைவிட அளவு எவ்வளவு நீங்களே பார்த்துக்கோங்க.

Food is simply superb like home food but we don't get much starters in very limited quantity to that price.

Food is amazing, feels like a home cooked meal. Served on Fresh hygienic banan leaves. I like the non-veg meals which they provin lunch. The meal has all the curries: chettinad chicken, mutton, crab, meen-columbu, prawn columbu and several others included in one price.

Took parcel of One Prawn suka meals and one mutton suka biriyani. The quality of the food is very bad. They give 6 to 7 gravies but we won’t be able to identify which gravy we are having. All are same taste. Prawn quality is very bad. Will never go to this hotel again.

Had nei sooru, mutton chukka, and chicken 65. With paneer soda and elaneer payasam. Taste was on spot, it's too crowded but the waiters are polite and organized. Pricing is a bit high but worth the wait.

No doubt food was very good… but according to price the quantity of the main course (like fish, prawn masala, chicken meals, we have ordered nethli fry… the quantity was worst ever) was very less and disappointing.

Used to be my favourite goto joint for a proper south Indian non veg meal in Chennai, not anymore, the service, which is what they are known for, is now pathetic, when i asked for extra dry fish side they mentioned that it was limited and gave me 1/3 of a teaspoon extra (meals are charged at 400 bucks and they say it's limited sidies wow factor indeed), earlier the servers used to be patient and wait for you to finish a round of the rice before asking to serve more, this time around they are highly impatient and push for the extra rice to be had mid way through a round of rice, The curries which were so good now all taste the same. 400 bucks for a meal is expensive in these standards and people would expect the kind of service and taste which they fail to deliver.
Would i visit here, never again!

In all the outlets karuvadu thooku is unlimited but in this outlet it is limited to one spoon.

Newly opened restaurant! Nice ambience in traditional style! Hospitality was good! Food taste was average and not upto the mark with respect to other branches! Really missed the original cuisine of pattukottai kamatchi mess!

Correct name it is a mess. Very ordinary. Gravy all tasteless. Gravy all bland not even heated. So many servers one after another comes ask what you want, but food delay. But taste very ordinary.

Authentic Chettinad seeraga samba biryani was awesome!
Also they got nei sooru combos and fish, prawn, mutton Kola combo meals.
Cost is little high but worth taste.

Only non veg meals and biriyani.
But all foods are highly priced.

For 370rs meals no papad, no sweet. They are serving that thokku in tea spoon. Total waste of money. Also poor service. Only one kootu & one porial. For 370rs there is lots of options in Chennai. This 370rs i should have spent in ya Mohaideen.

Ambiance is good, staffs are friendly but food is costly, All gravies are too spicy? We ordered mutton kola meals, prawn biriyani and mutton biriyani, the quantity of biriyani is less and not worth the price. If you are spicy lover then give a try

WORLDS WORST FOOD we can get from here.dono why we stepped into this hotel skipping yaa mohideen which was near this hotel. We orders one plain briyani, mutton chukka meal. Horrible briyani it was that too with some mutton pieces whereas I don’t eat mutton tats y I ordered plain nd it tasted really bad, wit lots of regrets we wasted that. And that meals was worster than that. They provided fish curry, prawn curry, chicken curry nd mutton kulamb none of them tasted good but the rice was unlimited. And we had soda nd 1 elaneer payasam.dono why even that wasn’t good. And the bill was almost 1000 bucks.never regretted this much for spending 1000 in my life.instead of concentrating on decoration nd all please concentrate on your taste.

Good in taste, but not better than Anna nagar branch, Pattukottai Kamatchi mess is always good in hospitality. Bit costly but worth the penny.

We ate mutton brain,  kola,  and karandi omelette meals. Out of the seven gravies,  chicken gravy and prawn thokku are good.

If they wish to last in the long run,  they must definitely increase the quality of gravies.

One of the worst restaurant.food was not good. Not the worth for the money. Only bones where there in the mutton Biriyani.the gravies they give for Parota is still the worst. Never had such a bad experience even after spending so much money we felt hungry.the quantity of food was very less. Didn't even want to give 1 star but no other go we have to select min of one star
