In terms of service and atmosphere it doesn't fail to please us, but the chopsey was a MAJOR disappointment and the portion was too small for 2 adults (even though they said it was sufficient for 2), it was bland and lacked flavor korean fried chicken was good noodles was fine as well.
Situated in first floor. This place serves Chinese food. Service is fast. However had better chicken noodles elsewhere. Pricing is on the higher side in comparison with the food served. Overall average experience.
Food was awesome. Spicy thai chicken was so good. If one don't like spicy food, normal food with moderate spice is also available. Better restaurant when one feels to try different cuisine other than Indian.
Among the foods we ordered Manchow soup, Kung Fao Chicken, Schezwan momo, Roasted garlic noodles and Tiramisu were delicious. Shanghai fried rice was bland.
The service was good.
The ambience was great.
No car parking available. Luckily we found a parking space for our car nearby.
I had been a very regular customer of Peking restaurant in the late 2000s. I recently ordered a takeaway from the RS puram branch after quite many years impressed by their revamped restaurant looks. However, I was very disappointed with the quality and quantity of the food served. During the old times, Peking was very well known for the good quantity of scrumptious food they served at reliable price. But, now the food served in my opinion is not worth even half the price by which they have been marked up! Not willing to risk another good family dinner here.
Good Chinese restaurant with variety of items including shrimp, beef and pork. Very costly - everything from noodles to sides cost around 400. I tried only Hakka noodles since I went alone. Recommended for 2+ people to reduce costs and try more varieties
We were about 7 people, went without any reservation but got seats during weekend. The foods were as usually good. Humble customer service. Definitely recommend to anyone who loves chinese.
I have now visited this restaurant twice, and both the times the service has been consistently good with prompt appraisals in case there are delays. Food is good and upto the mark. Staff are polite as well. We had some comfort food which included dumplings, and some fried rice and some Malaysian noodles. We had their specials which was the pork belly fry. It tasted good, was a bit dry. Do come in early since this place gets crowded quickly.
The best Chinese restaurant in Coimbatore. Splendid atmosphere with the best waiters. A great place to dine with many people also for a romantic date. Appetizers, Starters are mind bogling! Pork and prawn made delicious. Crab also the best in menu.
Used to be a very good place for Chinese. Recently they have hiked their price too much considering the competition and their quantity. Taste and texture can be slightly improved. Tried their dragon chicken and it wa so soggy unlike how it used to be (crisp and saucy the same time) i don't know why their pricing is very much on the upper side. ₹400 for one dragon chicken is definitely too much considering the inflation and other Chinese outlets. Nin hao did this mistake and it's sad to see Peking following the same footsteps. Kind request: please reduce the prices, atleast near to nominal rate and improve the authenticity and originality of few items as you used to before.
Expensive but ambience and taste will be good. If you feel Chinese for the day, then you definitely try this place. Definitely, try the kung fao chicken.
Been here many times with friends.was one of our preferred place for get together. But this time the food taste made everyone feel bad. And when to express our concerns we asked for manager to visit our table and we have been give with a response as "manager is busy can't come now" I am not sure whether anything is important than customer?
Lung Fung soup from Peking got into my all time favourite menu.
Tried both veg and non veg lung fung soups, both tastes soo good. Even while ordering the take away the small sachet of their house made chilli oil is an add on, which makes it special.
Good Chinese restaurant in Coimbatore. Quality and Quantity are very good. Noodles and fried rice are good in taste. And Ambience is also very good. Everyone can come here visit here with friends and family. Pork, prawns and chicken are very good in taste.
Good chinese fare in Coimbatore. Their special for the day was dragon shrimp. It was tasty but just a tade costly.ambience was good.overall a good place to dine in.parking may be a shade risky ad you need to park on side of the road.
Had a very bad experience, food was not good at all, small chinese restaurant is far better for this restaurant, had ordered sweetcorn chicken soup it was lyk sugar syrup and chilli pork was disaster as the pork tasted dry felt lyk old pork.
We ordered chicken dumplings drums of heaven chicken noodles and chicken schezwan fried rice, dumplings were cold, asked them to reheat again, drums of heaven came straight from boiled water, sauce was good but lollipop was not marinated at all, noodles was okayish, it was ok for my kid, liked the fried rice, amount of money they are charging its not at all justified
Must try chinese restaurent in the city, varieties of dishes, touches with chinese flavours. Try out the place if you are looking for the chinese dishes to satisfy your tastebuds.
We had ordered momos and many other items from this place when i visited Coimbatore. But i was really unhappy with the price list of the momos where they cost you 330 per plate for chicken momos. It is twice the amount we normally pay. The price could be reduced as the food was not worth 330 bucks. You cannot just loot your customers by charging so high.
The atmosphere was good, the food was good, the service was good though the price was high. It took quite sometime for the food to arrive but the taste was good.
Nice and decent place, A flavour addition to Koyamputhur's cuisine. Tasted 4 soup varieties along with 6 starters all of which are decent. The food didn't disappoint but also haven't made me to try other dishes. Price is slightly on the higher side.
Poor service. No courteous staff. They don't even ask for the next course of meal. They don't provide water to drink. No water refill until several follow ups, no chopsticks which is quite odd for an authentic Chinese restaurant.wouldn't recommend. 2 full stars for Taste only.
Forever it's a place to visit. The best chinese restaurant in India definitely.for those who knows what's authentic Chinese cuisine this is the ultimate place to have your food!
The place has been changed, taste has also been changed. PRICES ARE EXPENSIVE HERE. I'M NOT SATISFIED AS MY PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE WHICH HAD NEAR THE POST OFFICE SIGNAL AT RS PURAM. Old building photos not yet replaced with new
One of the best Chinese restaurants in coimbatore, Good service with politeness, In the meantime the prices are not affordable by the middle class people, so the prices to be considered.
Peking has been around since my childhood and have always enjoyed it. The place has moved from a basement establishment from a long time ago to a more fancy setting. Still great food but a bit on the pricier side now.
After dinner on 28th October, I had misplaced a diamond ring on the table, the owner and his son were very kind to take it and keep it aside. Kudos for displaying extraordinary customer service through honesty and integrity. We are a huge fan of your ambience, location and food but from now on we are a huge fan of your hospitality as well. Thank you for making our diwali truly happy.
Good service.decent food.courteous staff.sort of decent interiors. I'm happy it doesn't smell of seafood or that Chinese restaurant kind within, which is really good or else a smelly place is not preferred. Desert options could be added. Beverages are also a lil limited but that's okay.
Worst place I have ever seen. The food was moderate but they charge very much. Please don't ever buy anything in Peking. Worst forever! I wish the restaurants manager and staffs must see other restaurants service and quality. Then learn to make proper dish with reasonable cost.
OK this place has been around in combat ore for at least 25 yrs. Always a fan of the ambience and the awesome Chinese cuisine. U will come back for more. Great place for Chinese n Thai dishes. Must visit restaurant in Combat ore.
We loved the place and located in a not so busy road in the midst of a busy place. Had a good ambience and we loved the food. As with many places had issues with parking.
1 As I couldn't give any - here. Horrible smelling fish manchurian. Mixed fried rice-Mixed Noodles-some other noodles. NO Difference in taste. Actually no taste at all.
One of my favorite restaurants in coimbatore. I've been eating here since i was a kid and still would choose Peking over any other restaurant. American choupsey is a must try dish!
This restaurant serves good food. The service can improve, esp they began to remove the chairs from the other table around us as we were still dining. I do understand they were closing but they need not do it so obviously.
A lot has changed over the years; from a shady place that served good Chinese has now become a posh Chinese cuisine restaurant. The prices have been adjusted accordingly. The one star pull out is for their little inconsistency in taste and service (comparing it with restaurants serving at similar price range).
Only egg drop tomato soup and chicken fried rice were decent. Got served undercooked crab, undercooked prawn and undercooked chicken for our starters and main course. That too for the cost you pay. Do not go unless you purposely want to fall ill. Choose cascade.
One of most famous Chinese restaurant in coimbatore, Food really fresh and delicious and sea foods must try here veg dishes are too good Ambience are simply awesome! And Service very polite and good. Quality wish pretty enough
Best place for authentic Chinese cuisine. Every dish is perfectly made.i would definitely make it a point to visit this restaurant when I'm in coimbatore
Quantity wise a little disappointing for the rate they are charging so one star less. Taste wise it's good. Ordered Malaysian chicken noodle and spicy chilli chicken, the spicy chilli chicken was not that spicy at all the quantity was very much disappointing for the charge of 280 for chilli chicken and 300 for noodles
Found this place accidently in RS puram area. Got in with my friend one evening. It's built on a small scale apartment complex. Has parking for a few cars. The area is quite and is a us point. Ambience is fine (not great though). Good quality is pretty good. Quantity is decent. The menu has chicken, pork and seafood items. The absence of lamb was a disappointment. Hope they bring in that too. Cost is medium to higher. Dishes cost you average 300. Did not get disappointed, so was happy. Waiters speak hindi and English and no Tamil. Hope they bring in some tamil speaking guys too. There were a few people coming in and the tables we're getting filled.thats a positive sign. Hope they improve and continue doing good.
