Regency Madurai by GRT Hotels

Unfortunately it doesn't live up to expectations.
Once you leave the hotel you find yourself facing a rather busy overpass.
The room was quite old, with old furniture.
Not very clean.
The real problem was the bathroom. You could see that it had been cleaned with some haste, there were still all the fingerprints of those who had stayed there before. And, when we went to take a shower, it was completely flooded because between the shower and the rest of the (very small) bathroom there was only a separating curtain.
The buffet wasn't bad. I made requests to the guys in the room and they were always kind in accommodating me.

Rooms, services & food are excellent here. If your prefer to stay in the city. This will be great choice for you and located near to main connected road but there is no noise in the room. You didn't get any city view from this room but it's not a big deal. Property suits for business people. Some of the branded shops are near by from this hotel.

The hotel is great, spacious and comfortable rooms, it is located in the old city quite far from the center.

Had a vary pleasant experience staying here. The staff were very good and they even did services without expecting extra money. Housekeeping person Manodh kumar was fantastic and even did the service for us free of cost, since we had a minor request. Rooms, linen, everything was clean.visit here if you are looking to stay in Madurai

I am a regular customer in this hotel for many years.everyone in this hotel are good.
. Kalaivani from house keeping is very hardworking, very helpful and so polite.any help you needed she be there to assist you.

Pls kindly recognise her for her hard work and experience and promote her to team leader and supervisor.

All the other staffs in front desk and aaharam were good and super.
Will come back next year and recommend this hotel to my colleagues and relatives

Had a very comfortable stay here. Located off Bypass road, below the flyover, map location is accurate.
Customer Service is excellent - someone got in touch to confirm arrival time. Staff is polite and helpful. They were also very accommodating of requests which was good as I was travelling with a senior citizen.
The rooms are spacious and well-maintained for the price point.
Spa has some nice ayurvedic therapies at a reasonable price.
The variety in the breakfast menu was excellent.
Two points that can be improved are the interior decor of the room (can use brighter colors) and the pricing of the room service menu (on the higher side).
Would definitely come back here.

Rooms are good. Staff is friendly will try to customize food for kids.

Not much variety for north indian vegetarian food.avoid ordering pizza and alloo paratha

The food at Aharam restaurant is awesome. Ate good South Indian delicious food after a long time. It was like rekindling the dormant taste buds. The pricing could be bit reasonable. Must try the Aimpon Idly. A signature dish at Aharam/GRT

Expect for the location (not their mistake but the flyover is just at their entrance) The hotel is overall too good. Right from the doorman everyone there will be very smiling, polite and helpful. The front desk staff will try to cater your requirements as much as they can possibly do. The hotel is not huge but it gives a good feeling. The rooms are big spacious, neat and tidy. Everything in room is well laid out.
The food in the hotel is very good.
They have good in room dining service.
The staff at both restaurants are very courteous. The quality of food, service and pricing is also fair. It’s a good property to stay for families, business persons and tourists.

The reason why given a star

1) Long delay in serving the food
2) Food taste is below average (Biriyani tasted like tomato rice)
3) No proper response from servers.

Centrally located. Good and neat hotel. Value for money. Good food varieties. All COVID'19 protocols followed. Good for family, friends and business trip. Friendly staff. Highly recommended.

Room was extremely clean and spacious too. Hospitality was very courteous and room service was prompt. The approach road to the hotel is narrow due to the flyover just in front of the hotel. Restaurant is awesome with excellent taste and the portion size is generous too. The morning complementary breakfast spread was great. It's definitely worth the money!

Approach is difficult. No value for money deal. For their tariff which is huge for Madurai you don’t get any wow factor.

Won’t recommend this.

In general, the hotel was good, nice sleep.but don't prefer 3rd floor cos all old sofas with oil stains and ugly.bath fittings in 3rd floor is filthy.buffet brkfast was okay

Very good ambiance with excellent food. Excellent staff and good experience with front desk. Mr. Thandeeswaran very cooperative and other staff like F&B Manager. Even Mr. Arumugam chef came to us and enquire about food. So good experience on our stay. Please keep it up. We keep like to stay at GRT REGENCY at Madurai. Vijayakumar.

For a person who keeps cleanliness as her priority this place was an absolute bliss.
The room was absolutely spic and span.it was ready for us to settle down for our stay.with all the amenities.
The restrooms were neatly kept with toiletries upkept and ready.
They reached us promptly whenever we had our requests.
Room services are prompt.
Serene environment.
The. Breakfast buffet was sumptuous.
In room dining too was great.
Overall a beautiful experience

The place is good. Rooms are neatly maintained. Food is perfect to eat. Staffs working is perfect. Nice place to stay. Well furnished rooms. Neat restaurant to visit. And it is also a 5 star hotel

I didn’t stay here, came for a dinner on a new year eve. Booked well in advance but when we reach the hotel we were informed to wait for half n hour and they didn’t even arrange chairs for waiting. They should have arranged dinner in a banquet hall to accommodate the crowd. What to say the managers are spooling the GRT brand in Madurai.
