Chicken was unpalatable with a horrible odor, clear sign of rotten meat. Some of us fell sick next day after dining here.

Savoury Sea Shell in Anna Nagar offered a dining experience that left me with mixed feelings. While there were some noteworthy aspects, a few drawbacks prevented me from giving it a perfect rating.

First and foremost, the Barbeque Chicken was an absolute delight. It was packed with flavor, perfectly grilled, and had a smoky aroma that was irresistible. If you visit this restaurant, the Barbeque Chicken is a must-try dish that won't disappoint.

On the downside, the timing of the courses left much to be desired. Both the starters and the main course were brought to our table simultaneously. This unfortunate timing meant that by the time we finished the starters, the naan (Indian bread) had become disappointingly chewy and difficult to enjoy.

Another issue that detracted from the overall experience was the seating arrangement. The ground floor was fully occupied when we arrived, so we decided to dine on the second floor. Unfortunately, this decision turned out to be less than ideal. The second floor was excessively noisy, dominated by large groups of diners who were engaged in boisterous conversation and laughter. Despite the disruptive ambiance, the service personnel did not take any steps to address the noise level, which was disappointing.

In summary, Savoury Sea Shell in Anna Nagar offers some delicious dishes, with the Barbeque Chicken being a standout option. However, the simultaneous serving of starters and main course, which left the naan in an unsatisfactory state, and the noisy atmosphere on the second floor due to large groups of diners, are areas that could use improvement. Despite these shortcomings, the restaurant has potential, and with a few adjustments, it could provide a more enjoyable dining experience.

1) Restaurants exist for hospitality and Savoury sea shell is zero in hospitality.
2) soups came after starters.
3) we had to serve food on our own.
4) Biryani cost was Rs350 but tasted same as Rs120 biryani in small restaurants.
5) bill came without sugar or fennel.
6) tables are near feels conjested.

Zero zero zero in hospitality. Our bill was Rs4,000.

Nice food. I liked the service which is so kind.
The dragon chicken and samak fish is a must try, so good flavour. Even the function hall is beautiful. Enjoyed it!

Ordered on swiggy today. Mutton chettinad and chicken 65 boneless was awesome. Quantity good. Taste very good.

1. I have ordered Mutton briyani but quantity wise good quality is very bad not worth for that money. I have suggest don't order mutton briyani.

Service is slow may be due to heavy crowd

We have ordered "Samak Thawa Fish Fry" price used to fluctuate from ₹1000 to ₹1200. Even when we had last in 2021 it was around ₹1200 but 2 weeks back when we ordered the same fish the price was skyrocket high, we paid whooping ₹2450. In the menu card there is no price only "Seasonal" would be mentioned against the Dish. Let it be a seasonal but ₹2450 is not acceptable at all. Atleast while ordering server would have informed about the price but we cannot blame them instead we should be careful. So whenever you see anything "Seasonal" for a seafood in Seashell restaurant make sure to ask today's price and buy if you still want. And also we have ordered plain Lime soda but we have got Lime soda with mint which we don't like. Server misunderstood and gave us wrong lime soda and we have changed to Sweet Lime soda later.

Visited just for mutton rann (lamb leg piece) but what they served is just a bone and mutton pieces chopped off like tandoori chicken. Quite disappointing. Other items also didn't taste good. Expensive menu.

Cashew pulav was class in an lun ch event arranged at party hall on 18th, 60th Birthday programme

Very good ambience, good staffs and good dishes with very affordable price, but we should go early as possible to eat want we want.

It's connoisseurs' delight to be here. Each and every dish I have ordered is so good, except the crab, which they could have had female species of crabs, which is tastier amongst the crabs, instead the ones provided to me. Yet to have the complete range of their menu, as I have been choosy to have the best ones on any given day, I come here.

I love their Sizzling Brownie. Though it’s a dessert, it’s a dish that brings me to Sea Shell. Overall the ambience and the taste is really good. I wouldn’t call it pricey, and similarly it’s not in affordable range. Give or take.

Sea shell, if you're a big fan of sea and mallu foods it's one of the better choice in chennai, rate of the foods are medium and moderate, a decent and fully tummy coast 1000 for 2 people if you like to eat something more delicious it's cost around 1600rs.my opinion of you really want to try sea foods nah you can pick this otherwise I didn't suggest this for veggies

Mandi was scammed, served very little rice wasnt able to finish the meat with the rice, asked for extra rice and the they neglected and then charged us for the rice too, wouldn't recommend, should go to ABIDS better place for Mandi and good service

This restaurant is very good and this branch is compared to OMR. The food is very tasteful in Veg and non veg dishes. Worth for family dining

We went back to this restaurant after returning to India after 11 years. We found that it was not as well maintained as it was back then. The food was not too bad overall but I ordered the shrimp cocktail and it was anything but. I was served some kind of shrimp salad with spicy shrimp in it. Service was just about average.

Good one to eat arabian foods, grill and bbq items.service is good.parking difficulties is there. I think management should opt for wallet parking of all customers. It is like we ve to find out parking

Tawa fish fry was simply superb but the they shall be offered with affordable pricing, reducing price might enhance the food experience without burning pocket

A very nice restaurant where we have been dropping in regularly for over twelve years. The North Kerala and also Arabian cuisines are delicious.

Hopeless service n Lack of attention n service.we keep on screaming to take orders but no one came.after 15 minutes taken the order.n another 20 minutes to serve the incomplete order.no soup n no starter just rice n gravy.gravy was also not the taste it shld be.disappointed

Dishes are so tasty and good. But price seems to be high compare to other restaurants near Anna Nagar.

The grill and Kubus were very dry. The skin was all dried up and inner portion was not cooked. The kubus was as dry as paper. Mayo was just running water. The old flavour of Sea Shell has truly disappeared

Worst food I have ever tasted, such a bad taste wondering even beginners would cook food good, such a big restaurant charging so much for tasteless food serving people the worst food, chicken schezwan would be spicy rather it tasted sweet, for name sake its an Arabian cuisine with no Arabian dishes available, good that it's a take away order they don't have to get the real comments from the customers. Donot opt this place at any cost.

Loved this place 13 -14 yrs back. Used to order Grill chicken, Malabar parotta + some curry, sizzling brownie almost every weekend and loved it every single time.

Tried it couple of years back. It was not good. Thought it might be one of its off days.

Tried the same set of dishes and a mint chicken soup. They were bad. The grill chicken was very dry. The wings were burnt. The breast was not seasoned properly. Was dry and bland. The parotta was good, not its best though. The lamb in the curry was not good. The pieces had lot of fat and very little to no meat. Not worth the price. The green apple drink was horrible.

Would not visit again. There are much better places for this price. Not worth it.

All the dishes are good perfect place if you're planning for dine out. Specially we ate Raan briyani which is very good we loved it.only thing we ordered barbeque lobster which is not good

Nice food. They have iftar packs as it is Ramzan season. Serving was little late otherwise our menu which was phuket fish, Grilled chicken and Briyani were tasty quantity was good. Dont miss to try Haleem this season.

Very bad. Old meat were used in making biryani. We are a regular customer since 5 years, we felt good for the past 5 years, but this time our money has been went to dustbin we think so. The meat was too old mixed with new meat and it has too bad odour. Make sure that from next time onwards you make it good.

We went for a birthday party and food was horrible in the party hall Place don't tgis place for any events. I have been many times to this restaurant for Al cart menu and buffet menu we like both.but party hall plz don't book

Very good service. Everyone starting from the security were polite and helpful. Good care is taken of wonderland people. Food was tasty and price was a bitter higher but there was no compromise on the quality. Shawerma & Platters are their speciality. Don't miss to try seafoods, you will love them. Seafoods are fresh and can be ordered without any second thought. Falooda is really good. I don't recommend brownies, they are bit hard! Overall great food:)

Dishes are superb and upto the class. Grill, barbeque, lobster, Especially juicy mutton in mutton Briyani, shawarma, chettinadu chicken are of first class vera level. Sizzling brownie? Superb, must try. Cost is Anna nagar level.

Really biriyani was Amazing than 7 star hotel.
And other items like fish varieties and all was super up. We enjoyed.and every1 was happy with delicious food and also hospitality.

Recently hosted a birthday party in seashell Anna Nagar, buffet food taste was simply outstanding. Value for money. If you are looking for a place to host a party with a decent budget go for sea shell.

Good quality food and pricing is OK but we have to wait for the food for longer duration but totally everything is good

Ordered Fish BBQ, it was ROT/OLD and smelling. Chicken BBQ was very dry.

It is good place for Arabian food, but it's not tasty when compared to beginning days of restaurant

Worst tomato soup ever. More of cream. It looked more creamy white than red. How can someone ruin a tomato soup! Other items were all right. The mini falooda was excellent

Remains one of my favourite for the past 4 years. Serves delicious food, economical and ambience is neat

1st floor party hall can be used when not booked for party. Huge crowd waiting no response. Food is good.

Not as great as savouries Bangalore! But a good place to try shawarmas.
I was a little disappointed with normal shawarma. Mexican shawarma is better.
