I had breakfast this morning, which included Idli, Ghee Roast Dosa, and Pongal. My Dosa was the standout for me; it was simply delicious. The Idly was decent, although it didn't quite match the Dosa's appeal. Unfortunately, the Pongal left much to be desired as it was rather dry. However, it's worth noting that the restaurant's location posed a bit of a challenge during my visit due to ongoing renovations. Despite this inconvenience, the memorable Dosa made the visit worthwhile.
The most overrated place for South Indian Cuisine in Hyderabad. They serve cold sambar, due to rush. They don't know how to make basic items. I took my guest there, and it was so embarrassing for me. Would never recommend this place. Ridiculous experience.
The ambiance is good. I had gone there for the chutneys and loved all of them.
I had ordered butter plain dosa. The expected thing was the dosa will come roasted in butter but when it came to the table I had a pace palm situation. Basically the dosa came with a big portion of butter on top. And the lump of butter glided over the dosa as it melted!
Food is good and nice choice of south Indian dishes. But what i like most about this chain of restaurants is the attentiveness of the wait staff and their superiors. Its been consistent for many years now. If you share a dish with someone on your table, wait staff immediately and automatically place extra condiments on the table. Hygiene is good. Appearances of the place might not be the best, but they are good.
A must visit place when in Hyderabad. The Mango Uttapam is the best here. Must Must Must try the mouth melting Babai Idli here. You just can’t leave Babai idli. Steamed Dosa is also very tasty. They have different varieties of chutneys as the name suggests but the tomato chutney us the best if you like tomatoes. Appreciation for team chutneys for serving such yummy food.
Superb experience of authentic south indian veg food in Hyderabad. I heard about this resturant for a long time and today i experienced the wonderful delicacy and extravaganza of Chutneys served with Idli/Dosa. Definitely coming back very soon.
Food was no doubt awesome but service was slow, very slow, and we took a dish in parcel as we liked it alot, but they packed something else, like with other chutneys and no topping that they gave in restaurant
Chutneys is quiet popular and the reason for its popularity is not because of the taste of food but because of its consistency in delivery same quality food at all times and at all branches. Another reason is if you want to have a restaurant experience for breakfast and veg food there are not many other options. That's it, these are the two reasons anyone goes to this place. Food is usually 3 out of 5. Service is 3 out of 5 but unless other better options comes up in future this place will stand at 4 out of 5. Just go here if you want to simple break fast or simple veg food without the drama of risking with new place. If you are in mood for drama then please try other places as well because you ain't missing anything by not going here.
Chutneys is having branches spread across Hyderabad. The 5 types of chutneys they serve are really very good. At Saturday's suggest you to book for table in advance otherwise you need wait for a long time.
Chutneys exceeded my expectations. I'd heard a lot about this chain before visiting, and now I know why. The restaurant is under renovation process, one can get confused about the space while inspecting from outside. For the inside, it is a pretty large area in which the restaurant operates. Basically famous for its South Indian delicacies, it has some good North Indian options as well. We ordered - 1. Ghee Karam Dosa - It was crispy and buttery on the out. Filled with karampodi, which was roasted in ghee. Very tasty. 2. Masala Dosa - Simple Masala Dosa with the filling of paliya/aloo. 3. Guntur Idli - Two of the softest and fluffy pieces of Idli, topped with Podi and Ghee. Special! 4. Chhole Bhature - Alright! This one really surprised me. Ordering a North Indian dish in a hard-lined South Indian restaurant can be a trap. But, here is was equally good if not more. I liked it.
Whats special about Chutneys is the Chutneys. Simple! Everything is served with 5 different chutneys and Sambar. And every single of them is just amazing. Great experience!
Good for dinner & breakfast menu, parking area is quite spacious. Many options available for vegetarians here. The chutneys provided here are super yummy. Pesarattu and Kaju Biryani is a must try.
I tried many south indian food accross the country, but but but but this place is the King of South Indian tastes. Must try, you won't regret, i promise.
This place is a veg only place. It is famous for South Indian items. As the name suggests, they have some unique chutney served which is available only at this restaurant. They serve atleast 5 different types of chutneys with every tiffin items. Their Sambar Wada/ Idly, Butter Dosa and Pongal are a must try. It's usually very busy at the pick hours. Sometimes, you need to wait if you are late. They have vallet parking available, so no worries about parking.
Visited here with friends. Yummy breakfast options. Paneer curry and mushroom Dosa center stuffing was tasting the same. Don't know why. But overall good experience
Bit costly here but If you are more interested in chutneys rather than the main dish, this is the right place for you. They will serve you with 5-6 verities of tasty chutneys along side with a hot piping sambar. Give it a try and it’s going to be added in your go to places to eat.
Negative feeling comes when you enter in restaurant. Food items are very costly and tasteless. I ordered 1 masala dosa and one onion utthapam and one Coffee, I paid more than 500 Rupees, No taste in Sambhar, no taste in Utthapoam, No taste in masala dosa, for Eye wash they take four rupees for half litre water bottle of 10 rupees, but No taste what was before 5 years.
The food was good but I was not happy with staff as the waiting serving us was constantly staring us from the beginning and made us really uncomfortable. He asked for tip and didn’t even thank us after getting it.
One of the best place to eat South Indian food in Hyderabad and they will provide you the different types of chutneys with their foods which is very good taste and quality and their service is also very good and fast and their are many chains of chutneys in Hyderabad
One of the worst food in hyderabad. They are serving preserved chutney and curries. On 01-05-2021 I have visited this restaurant they have severed me preserved chutney and on 08-05-2021 I have visited this restaurant and they have served me preserved curry and it was tasting very bad.
One must try guntur karam idli topped with ghee with that unique Chutney. This will make you crave for more! Completely satisfied with the hygiene, and staff following all the Covid rules to serve yu safe and tasty food to the table.
Always very less quantity of sambar n chutneys.we have called for 5 plate s of idly n dosa.n the sambar is just enough for two plate s.and no response for the call we make to complaint.didn't expect this from a reputed chain like chutneys.
It's very tasty break fast we had, especially tomato chutney, coconut chutney. The best part is tea, they will serve huge tasty tea, so better to order 1 by 2 tea.
Tried South Indian Thali and it was decent enough. They have Valet parking and restaurant is Air conditioned. However billing was a put off- Be careful to check if paying by card, as my waiter fixed the machine to tip; fortunately I didn't put my card pin number as TIP amount. It can happen if you aren't careful enough to check whether you are entering pin to charge card or pin number as TIP amount.
The restaurant surely lives up to it's name, it has got a great taste to it's chutneys, and timely service too. Only thing was the food there was a lil bit on sweeter side, but that doesn't affect the experience at all. Must try dishes more like starters here are Crispy corn and guntur idly. They are the absolute best. But finally it all comes to personal preference.
Want to visit more often as the authentic tasty chutneys are healthy, lip smacking and taste turners. Other food is also tasty. Especially big size pooris and idlis.
Hotle is good but staff will demand tips as there is rule to pay them.especally punjagutta nagarjuna circle branch. I have faced this 3 times. If we say no.they see us with cheap look s.
VERY NICE PLACE, GHEE IDLI AND GUNTUR IDLI IS AWESOME, PLACE IS FAMOUS FOR ITS CHUTNEYS DONT MISS ALL THE VARIETY OF CHUTNEYS THERE. YOU HAVE TO WAIT FOR BEAR ABOUT HALF TO ONE HOUR IF YOU ARE VISITING ON WEEKENDS.
It was horrible experience. I found plastic particle in food.when I showed to the manager he was just bowed down his head and blaming cook really this was not at all expected this kind of thing with such a big name
Amazing Food. Must try Guntur Idli, Garlic, Paneer Tikka Dosa and Corn crispy. Other than this Their speciality is that they will serve you amazing 6 types of chutneys which is Tamarind, 2 types of Coconut, Garlic, Peanut. Last but not least sambhar taste is superb which will drool your taste bud. One suggestion is that they need to serve food fast otherwise customer will dissatisfied.
I always give 5 stars to Chutneys, because I visit lot of other hotels who charge 250 bucks for panner 65, but at a cost of 330 in Chutneys you get much better near 100% better quality food and in quantity also it is 50% extra. Really amazing. All other so called popular restaurants should learn how to serve quality of food.
A nice restaurant for Andhra delicacies! Must eat are "Babai idly" followed by " Upma - Pesarettu with extra chillies, Ginger and Onions" (Suggest order Pesarettu with Onions, Chilies & Ginger and Upma separately). Other items are universal. Enjoy the variety of Chutneys and steaming Sambar.
Delicious chutneys I ordered 70MM dosa. It was so finger licking good. Chutneys and sambar are authentic in taste. But the prices are high. I liked their way of providing water in bottles.
